“Amanda takes such good care of our babies! My senior dog rarely warms up to new people but has taken to Amanda and loves her. We are so glad to have found someone so trustworthy and flexible. We would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have had pets since I was a child and now I live with the long-term passion to do what I love most which is helping animals and hopefully soon I could become a Veterinarian. I’m currently working a part time job giving me lots of time to take care of your furry babies, I am available all weekends after. And usually most of the week days I have two friendly dogs to keep your fur babies happy and a nice comfortable house for them to fill cozy, warm, and protected at all times.
“Sachiho is absolutely wonderful. She is very punctual and provides lots of pictures and updates from the walk and goes above and beyond for my dog. I truly feel I leave my dog in good hands with Sachiho. Highly recommend!!”

“She's just fantastic. I feel like she really cared about meeting my dog beforehand and is very punctual. She really a great, reliable walker and I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: Experienced and caring dog sitter with a passion for pups. I provide a safe, fun environment for your dog, ensuring plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles. I’m also skilled in training and can teach your dog any tricks you’d like. Reliable and attentive, I treat every dog like my own. Working Monday to Thursday until 5pm Other than that I am free I don’t know what to write else but I still need some words. I will care your dog in my car. I don’t have any harnesses or cages to secure the dog. So that should be provided. Safety first :)
About: I have taken care of my fair share of animals over the past decade: cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, you name it! I myself have 3 cats and understand their body language, needs, and quirks. I also have an iron stomach and nothing pet-wise can phase me. I also have a firm belief in keeping pet owners up to date with photos and texts after every visit. I work a very consistent 9:30-6:30 job with a guaranteed 1 hour break every day. This means I can make consistent visits between 8-9am, 12-1p, and 6:30-10pm each day. Weekends are *usually* free for at least 2 checks a day. My schedule rarely changes and that lets me plan for consistency! With 3 cats, I have long-since memorized what plants and foods are toxic as well as feline CPR and how to recognize signs of distress and pain in cats. I myself aim for daily litter cleanings, consistent feedings, and plenty of active play and love for my cats and any others I'm entrusted with. I have nursed several kittens back to health and have fostered as well. As far as dogs grow- they're the animals I grew up with 4 chihuhuas, a Border Collie, and a variety of loveable mutts through my childhood. I also got my start as a pet sitter walking dogs and doing overnight stays at homes to keep anxious pups company.
About: **** Offering military discount ***** My dad passed on his love for animals to me. Some of my fondest memories from my childhood include all of the pets we had over the years. My heart belongs to rescues! We seemed to be a stopping ground for those lost and looking for a home. Since I was in high school, I’ve been asked to pet sit for several friends and family, or for those I’ve met through business. Due to recent changes in my life, I’ve decided to spend more time helping others with their pets. I have a degree in biology and I work in P&C insurance. Therefore, I can provide an educated and risk adverse experience! Currently I work from home three days a week. During my work hours, pups are allowed to relax in the comfort of my home. Outside of work hours, I am able to let them run and play in the yard and/or take them for a hike around the property. My pets are my family. I have two dogs. One is a small lap pup, and an energetic young dog looking for friends! I am able to crate your dog, leash your dog, or use an e-collar. I have 25 acres free to roam. Most days I take them for a walk around the farm several times a day. I’m very flexible!
About: I grew up with pitbulls, blue heelers, and cats. I currently have two fur babies named Theodore and Jax (who are living a 5 star luxury life 🐾). My friends reach out to me if they need help with caring for their doggies. I’m trustworthy and will respect your instructions! I will not do anything or give anything to your pup unless it’s specifically stated beforehand or I ask you first. I do not have children so it’s easy for me to be flexible in caring for your baby! I will provide loving care, and most of all, keep you updated and send plenty of photos to give you the reassurance that your pup is safe and cared for. I currently do not work. I mostly tend to my fur babies or my garden most days. I am doing college online but it is very flexible. My schedule is pretty flexible! Unfortunately, I cannot take care of animals in my home. We are renting and our lease states we have to have prior approval and charge a fee if another animal will be residing with us. My corgi (Theodore) is a bit of an introvert as well and does not enjoy other animals (other than Jax) in his space. I am able to drive and take care of your pet in your home! I don’t mind taking multiple trips if that will put you at ease about your pet!

About: I’ve taken care of just about everything. From dogs and cats to entire farms! I have been in animal care more many years. I’ve worked at doggy daycares/boarders. I currently work Monday-Friday 830-430 but am willing to be as flexible as possible. I’d love to take care of your babies! Hello! I am completely flexible throughout the entire week. I am always willing to go out of my way for the care of your pets! The safety of any pet owners animal is very important to me. I make sure to keep your pet safe, entertained, and cared for. I am willing to walk, bathe, crate, etc.
About: Hello! I have been taking care of personal and family pets since around the age of 7. I love taking fur babies on walks and trips to the beach :) I am currently working part time, and from home so it makes taking care of your four legged children even easier! My schedule is super flexible. Unfortunately my yard is not fenced however, the yard is only used for potty breaks. When some exercise is wanted, a walk or a trip to the park usually is best :) I also have tons of toys and cat nip, along with one dog crate and one cat crate if needed.
About: I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for my family, friends, and neighbors since I was young. I love animals of all kind and would be honored to spend some time with your four-legged family members! My work schedule is pretty flexible, giving me time to take walks, let them out to go to the bathroom, or just hang out with them throughout the day. I’ve grown up with bunnies, cats and dogs big and small, so whatever pet you need me to watch I’m confident I’ll be able to take the best care of them!
“Allison is very responsible and timely. She takes the time to get to know your dogs and work with them even if they are shy and barky. She was able to handle and walk my two 60 lb dogs no problem and even got my oldest dog to warm up to her. She will show up on time and complete all requests during the visits. Peace of mind knowing she will be caring for my dogs while I am out of town.”

“Caitlyn does very well with our stubborn spaniel on his daily walks. Her pictures, videos, and descriptions are exactly what you want from your dog walker. She’s professional, timely, and an amazing communicator! We’ve rebooked her multiple times and would recommend her to friends.”

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Pinecrest. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Pinecrest.
Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pinecrest. On Rover:
- 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
