“Sanya had constant communication with me about my puppy Rome! She sent lovely pictures of her having fun with her dogs on a regular basis. I trust her with my puppy’s care completely! I highly recommend her services. She’s great.”

“Erica & Christian are wonderfully caring and responsible Petsitters. I would definitely recommend them to anyone seeking pet-care. And, they have the added bonus of owning a beautiful home in close proximity to Tanglewood Park. Great experience for me and my Finn.”

I hope we can make a plan that makes you and your pet most comfortable. I will ensure that your fur babies are safe with me while I am in your home. Making sure outside doors are closed and locked after entering and exiting your home.
“Communication from the beginning has been fantastic! I was looking for a daycare weeks before I actually needed it because of a relocation and Rachelle and Christopher answered every question and addressed every concern. I have a challenging dog and she’s only ever been in one daycare in her life. She and her sister had an amazing time during their first visit. Driving from Greensboro is totally worth it!”

About: Hi, I’m Mary! I’ve been providing pet care through Rover since late 2017 and have nearly 9 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats. Over the years, I’ve worked with pets of all ages, personalities, and routines, and I take pride in being reliable, communicative, and easy to work with. I understand that every pet is different. Some want to play fetch for an hour, some prefer a leisurely walk, and some cats would rather supervise me from across the room. My goal is always the same: to make your pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, including seniors and pets that require medication. Whether I’m stopping by for a quick potty break, taking your dog for a walk, or spending the day with your pup in daycare, I provide dependable care and plenty of attention. Communication is a big priority for me. You’ll receive detailed Rover cards, photos, and updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every pet as if they were my own and work hard to earn both your trust and theirs. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I offer dog walks, drop-in visits, daycare services, and cat drop-in visits throughout the week. I carefully manage my schedule to ensure every pet receives the time, attention, and care they deserve. I pride myself on being reliable, responsive, and punctual. Whether you need ongoing care or help while you’re traveling, I’ll do my best to accommodate your schedule and keep your pets happy and comfortable. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow your instructions carefully, pay close attention to each pet’s routine, and provide regular updates throughout my visits. Building trust with both pets and owners is extremely important to me, and I strive to provide the same level of care I would want for my own animals.
“We love Tara and her home! Always so communicative and responsive and Imo bounds right in without any hesitation when we come visit (he has separation anxiety so that means a lot)! Thank you for taking care of our fluffy man Imo!!”

“Catie was so flexible with drop off and pick up times to accommodate my work hours! Lucy has a great time and she can’t wait to spend some time with Catie and her two pups again! Thanks Catie ☺️”

About: I have over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds. I grew up on a working ranch, which gave me the opportunity to care for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, chickens, goats, sheep, donkeys, and horses.etc. That background taught me how to confidently handle animals with a variety of needs, personalities, and energy levels. I have had all breeds of dogs growing up, but currently, at home, I have two large dogs — a Doberman, a Cane Corso, and a boxer/pocket bully mix — so I’m no stranger to strong breeds, high energy, or big personalities. I understand how to manage powerful dogs calmly and safely. I also have three cats. What sets me apart is my wide-ranging animal experience, my confidence with large and exotic pets, and my professional training. I’m certified in pet CPR and first aid, and I take pride in providing reliable, attentive care while following your instructions closely. Whether you’re looking for someone to care for your dogs, exotic pets, or farm animals, I’m here to offer safe, compassionate, and knowledgeable care. I am currently switched my schedule where I work a lot less and pick what days I want to work, so I can have more time on my off days doing what I love best, caring and loving on animals. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the animals and the home with the utmost respect. I follow all care instructions carefully and stick to the pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. JUST A HEADS UP! I do require all boarding dogs to come with a crate, for comfort and safety! I understand how important it is to create a safe, stress-free, and trustworthy environment. I’m calm, reliable, and always make sure pets feel seen, heard, and cared for. Whether it’s feeding, walking, litter box cleaning, administering medications, or just providing company, I handle every task with patience and care. I’m also certified in pet CPR and first aid, which gives added peace of mind in case of an emergency. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident your pets are safe and happy while you’re gone.
“Loren! Simply amazing for willing to watch my fur baby last minute, sent updates, pics and Kylie for right in with the gang!!! Thank you again we will be seeing you again! Thank you Loren!!!”

About: My journey started with owning cats growing up and training every animal I ever owned leading up to my first dog. My cats and even my bird. When I was 12, I started dog sitting Pierre, my mom’s coworkers Yorkshire Terrier. He caused me to fall in love with dogs. I became obsessed with AKC dog shows, my mom and I watched it every Thanksgiving morning after the parade. I actually loved anything with animals. I owned many cats from the age of 4 through my teenage years. I love cats but they can’t do what dogs can. Finally after years of begging, my mom got us our first dog, Omega. He was a beautiful standard poodle and was so smart. My best friends mom had a friend who needed to rehome one of hers, he was 1 when we got him and I taught him all he knew from down, stay to jumping over a pole. Before going off to college I chose to foster dogs in need and I fostered three successfully who went off and found their forever homes. It was the most rewarding thing. So I decided if I can work with dogs my entire life and just be around them all day for a job Id be in heaven! Naturally my teenage brain thought “I’ll be a Veterinarian”! I completed 3 years at Virginia Tech majoring in Animal & Poultry Science doing the Companion Animal Tract. I was able to receive a lot of hands on experience with animals of all kinds; pigs, cattle, sheep, horses and chickens (of all ages). I learned skills from halter breaking heifers to administering shots in 3 different ways. Though I do enjoy animals of all kinds I eventually came to the realization that I thoroughly enjoy training dogs and I’m constantly training my own. I currently have two that im working with regularly just for fun at one point and so it dawned on me that I’m in the wrong career. So while in the process of developing and launching my own personal Dog training and boarding business. Since I work from home, I have the time and knowledge to be able to dedicate to helping others who are in need of these services now. Trusting their fur babies will receive the best of care and would be made to feel at home. If your baby is more comfortable in their own home I’m happy to accommodate to their needs. Leaving your fur babies is not always easy, trust me, I’m having to do it for the first time soon myself and with me you can have the peace of mind that your furry friends will be in great hands, as I will treat them just how I’d expect mine to be treated ! With nothing but love, care and patience. I have Experience with all ages! Omega was with us until he passed at the age of 14! My dogs recently had an accidental litter and I raised up 10 puppies who all lived and are 12 weeks old now ! I’m familiar with administering pills or medications if necessary. 7 puppies remain in my care as I want to make sure they go to great homes and I plan to train them as service dog prospects ! I train dogs in basic and advance obedience, on and off leash training, and some skills like protection and sport work. I work from home full time starting my work day at 12:30 pm and ending at 9 pm. I get two 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch through the day. During which they would be able to potty and play. So your furry friend will always have someone home with them. It is a goal of mine to eventually do this full time. I have A large yard on an acre property. Dogs who are trained off leash can roam in the back which has rock boarders lining the property. For those not trained off lead i have A long 30 ft lead which will still allow them the freedom to run around. I have two adult dogs and a litter of puppies still with me who can keep any anxious friends company. And for those who need to be alone, my two can be kept upstairs in my room and the puppies can be crated leaving your friend the entire downstairs to roam or in my work office with me while I work. I have two large crates which can be used if your friend has a hard time getting settled in a new environment. I provide an enriching environment where your fur baby will learn how to be a better k9 citizen everyday ! Picture and video updates can be sent regularly !
About: I’m new to Rover, but I’ve been caring for dogs my whole life! I currently have two happy pups of my own who are part of my daily routine. We go on multiple walks each day and spend lots of time playing and relaxing together. I work from home as a pharmacist, so I have a flexible schedule and can give your dog plenty of attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or just some good company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. I work from home, so pet care easily fits into my daily routine. My two dogs keep me active with walks, playtime, and snuggles throughout the day, and I love having the flexibility to give visiting pups the same attention and care. I treat every pup like part of the family! My home has a fenced in yard and is in a very walkable neighborhood so there are plenty of chances to exercise and play. I keep each dog’s routine consistent with what they’re used to — from feeding and walks to cuddle time. Since I work from home, I’m around all day to give lots of attention, care, and supervision.
“Cody had a lovely time with Caitlin! And I was completely comfortable that he was being well taken care of, through great communication and photos. We’re so happy to have found Caitlin that we’ve already rebooked Cody to stay with her!”

“We were visiting nearby and were so grateful that Olivia could take Bailey, with very little notice, for a couple hours while we had lunch in a restaurant with family. Bailey was reluctant to leave so I think that says it all! We will definitely hire Olivia again when we need doggy day care while in the area.”

“We were back in town and didn’t hesitate to book him again, and once again, he was amazing. We used him for two days of dog sitting, and our Gracie Lou came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s such a relief having someone we trust completely. Highly recommend and will absolutely continue to book with him!”

“Lutisa was very helpful in that I needed a sitter ASAP, and she agreed to take my Myra. I was so appreciative that I didn't have to leave her alone for many hours. She took very good care of her.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 373 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Pinecrest. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pinecrest commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
