“Another amazing stay. This time it was an overnight and it seemed Gino had a great time when I picked him up. He seemed very happy and now that he’s home he’s resting comfortably. So happy that Mariia is taking such good care of him!”

“Olive took great care of our 2 dogs while we were away. They are picky eaters and she was very patient with them. She has a great yard for the pups to play in. She kept in contact with updates and photos while we were away which helped us enjoy our vacation more, knowing our pups were being well taken care of. Highly recommend Olive for your pet sitting needs!!”

“It's a little worrying when you have to leave your best doggie friend with someone you've never met. In this case, it was a great choice. Our little Molly had a great time with Mikaila, who took excellent care of her. She sent regular photos and updates too - highly recommended if you need someone to help you in Philly!”

“Allan and Anne Marie are great! They cared for both of our dogs. We have a 14 year old dog and a 1 year old dog and they asked many questions to make sure they were both cared for exacty as we do at home. They were boarded over night for 6 nights with them. We were a little anxious, as this is the first time we had our dogs watched by someone we didnt know, but they were great. We received multiple pictures everyday of each of them outside and inside as well as playing with their dog. They even went above and beyond when my dogs were barking at bedtime in their crates (not being very good house guests). Allan decided to sleep down stairs every night with them and his dog, Joey, so they felt calm and safe. That was way more than we would have expected. Anne-Marie even went out to purchase a couple more toys for them, because their dog's toys seemed a little too big for my smaller dogs. They even sent one home with my one dog who really took a special liking to one of them. So if you need your dog looked after and loved like their own, give Allan and Anne-Marie a try. You'll be glad you did.”

“Anacelia and family took great care of our two Boston terrier girls. She provided us with updates, and gave them lots of love and attention. Thank you for taking great care of our girls!”

“I just moved to the area and needed a sitter while traveling on business. I have a senior dog with Cushings disease and cancer. It killed me to leave her for a few days. But Ceinwen did a great job caring for her, and it wasn’t long until I could tell she felt right at home.”

“Janice was wonderful. She is just a sweet lady and took such good care of my miniature schnauzer. My dog and hers played really well together. I'm really glad to have found her and will use her again the next time I need a dogsitter for the weekend. Thank you Janice!”

About: I grew up in a family that always had a dog, several cats and sometimes a rabbit or a guinea pig running around our house. Animals have always been in my life and remain one of my greatest passions. I currently help take care of my sisters 3 year old mixed pup and live with and help care for two 4 year old cats. I have experience with puppies, one week old kittens and aging pets as well. I understand that every animal is unique and deserves special and individualized care. I assure you that I have the patience and experience to give your pet what they need - including lots of love and scratches! Dog sitting and walking is currently my full time work. While I prefer to schedule care ahead of time, it is not a problem if you need last minute care. I am happy to provide any services needed which include walking, feeding, training and general love giving! Whatever your pet needs, I am here for you.
“Wow, did Courtney have a great time !!!!!! Audrey and her husband welcomed Courtney with open arms and she loved her time at the COMPOUND. She made friends with a few new dogs and enjoyed her treats. Audrey provided many photos of Courtney and everyone she had a huge grin on her face !!!!! I will definitely use her again.”

“Ryan was our 1st experience using Rover, or any boarding service. We have a very large very anxious 3yr old dog, and Ryan made the experience smooth and worry free for myself & my dog. He sent great photos showing how relaxed & happy my dog was while we were away, which my whole family loved to see. Highly recommended using Ryan for any services he offers.”

“Wendy and Daniel were absolutely wonderful. We get nervous leaving our Boston terrier if the person is not familiar with the brachiocephalic breed and they made us so comfortable at the meet and greet! Barney had the best time and can’t wait to book again.”

“Kathleen took care of Brody this week for the first time. He appears to have really enjoyed his stay and was definitely well cared for. Kathleen communicated with us at least once a day telling us how and what Brody was doing. She also sent wonderful photos of his stay, on walks, and relaxing in her home. We’ll use Kathleen again when we need a sitter. Thanks, Kathleen!”

“I don't know why it took me so long to post this review. Tyler was absolutely amazing with my dog, Austin! I had originally booked Austin with Tyler for one week but due to housing issues I had to extend his stay. I actually had to extend Austin's stay a few times and Tyler was always happy and willing to house Austin for as long as we needed. Tyler let me come visit Austin periodically since I missed him so much, and every time I visited Austin looked great and seemed truly happy there. I will 10/10 rebook with Tyler! I am forever grateful for Tyler's help throughout that difficult time and highly recommend using him for whatever length of stay your pup or kitty needs.”

“Absolutely 100% recommend. I received so many adorable photos of my pups while I was away. Excellent communication and can really tell how much Staci loves animals. She loved on my babies so much and can really tell that they were in good hands.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pine Run
We had a wonderful experience! Taylor took such great care of our dog Rosie while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind! She kept me updated with photos and videos, and it was clear Rosie was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Rosie is very energetic and can be anxious and that was no issue at all, when we arrived Rosie was instantly comfortable and I knew she was in great hands! We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Janice was wonderful. She is just a sweet lady and took such good care of my miniature schnauzer. My dog and hers played really well together. I'm really glad to have found her and will use her again the next time I need a dogsitter for the weekend. Thank you Janice!

Nicole was an amazing pet sitter for our dog Scoopy from Dec 25–31. She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated throughout our trip, which gave us total peace of mind. Scoopy was happy and well cared for when we returned, and it was clear he felt comfortable with her and her husband. We would absolutely book Nicole again and highly recommend her!

Ann is #1 on my list of dog sitters. She has the patience of Jobe. Toby is a relentless barker when he meets someone. His noise did not deter Ann one bit. She sent pictures while we were away and we felt very comfortable leaving Toby with her. My plans changed at the last minute and Ann was very accommodating the changes. We would definitely use Ann again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Pine Run home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Pine Run.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Pine Run sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
