About: I have a Certificate in Animal Science. I have either owned or cared for dogs since I was very young. I am my family's doggy daycare. I also worked for P.A.W.S. (People for Animal Welfare Society). I am available 24/7 for boarding with the exception of when I might be away on vacation or away from the house or no more vacancies. I am conveniently located in a nice neighborhood just minutes from Six Flaggs Great America, Great Wolfe Lodge Water Park, and Gurnee Mills Mall. So caring for your family pet(s) will be a win-win for both you and me. I have a large fenced in yard for room to run and play. I also have a screened in patio for a place to enjoy the fresh air outdoors when the weather doesn't cooperate and a place to dry off after they are out in the snow or rain.

About: I am lifelong dog owner with over 40 years experience with 8 dogs and breeds from Terrier mixes to labs, German short hairs, pit bulls, bully breeds and many mixed breeds. I have spent decades frequenting the lake county dog parks and studying their behaviors and interactions with other dogs and with people. I have a very laid back and easy-going approach that I have had great success with in relating to and connecting with dogs. I am very tuned in to their body language, and very adept at reading their emotions. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in yard with a cabin like interior that is very welcoming to dogs. I offer both a fun and safe environment for my pet guests, and will treat them like family. I have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dog(s) along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I am on a quiet dead end road which is very safe for walks, as well as freedom to roam the yard. My goal is to customize my services to meet your dogs needs, whatever they may be. I will treat your pets as I do my own- like family- lots of TLC
“Martha and Byron are amazing! They took excellent care of Tango and Lily. As soon as I dropped them off, Tango was taken for a walk and Lily roamed free around the house and yard. Throughout the day I received multiple updates with pictures. Martha and Byron knew Tango loves carrots and they provided that for him. Both dogs were entertained and enjoyed their time with Martha, Byron, and their three sons. When we got home, Tango and Lily were so tired that they passed out right away! Exactly what I was hoping for - happy dog = a tired dog 😀 Thank you both for providing such a fun and loving environment for my dogs. We will be back!!”
“Ashley and her family are amazing. She keeps me informed with how the day is going and is very welcoming. She is so flexible and willing to follow your dog’s schedule. She sends pictures daily which is awesome to see. When I drop Willis off at her house, he is so excited when she opens the door and loves to see her. I am so glad we found her and will continue to use her as long as we need puppy care. Thanks for everything you have done and are doing!!!! <3”

About: I'm an energetic person who enjoys being with dogs. I pay close attention to detail and I am always willing to engage in activities to keep your dog busy but I also know dogs need some down time as well. I stay at home full-time so I will be able to provide plenty of potty breaks and play time in the backyard. I am currently a dog daddy to a Chihuahua named Lucy. She'll be 1 years old on November 1st. She's very loving and friendly dog. I have 7 years of experience. I don't mind taking your dogs or puppies out for walks instead of just staying in the backyard. I will take good care of your beloved pets as if they were my very own.
“Cassandra is awesome. We are visiting and had no idea what to do with Gordo since we were afraid to leave him in the hotel alone and wanted to make a cubs game. We contacted on short notice but Cassandra responded quickly and took great care of our fur baby.”

About: We've been bully breed pet owners for years, and I'm comfortable with pups of all sizes and ages. I've been hosting dogs, doing at-home visits and sharing lots of pup love for friends and neighbors for quite a long time. I'm currently working from home, and could easily fit day-time walks and at-home visits into my schedule. Feel free to let me know if your pup/s could use a day-time potty break, or even a quick walk to get their energy out! I have a fenced in yard at my home and space for a dog crate if needed. I'm comfortable with both small and large breed dogs, and would welcome opportunities to come visit your pup/s during the day to help stretch my legs, and theirs.
“Elena is amazing!! She is very responsive, followed my instructions, and took such great care of Briscoe -- my sweet pup was happy and tired when I picked her up, so I know she had a fun day with Elena. Briscoe is looking forward to the next time she sees Elena! Thank you so much!!”

“This was our first visit with Lucy and we were very happy with the care our dog received. She has a kind and gentle demeanor that makes our dog feel at home. Her partially fenced yard offers the perfect area for our pup to run off excess energy. We will definitely use Lucy’s services again.”

About: My husband I both grew up with golden retrievers and have a soft spot for them. When I was first out on my own and bought my first home, I rescued a pit bull and she was with me until she passed. My husband, my son, and I are all dog lovers and would love to welcome your dog into our home. My husband and son are home full time and are anxious to care for your pet! We have an energetic 3 year old so kid-friendly dogs are a must. We are available any day of the week at any time, unless we have something specific planned (which is not often). Please feel free to ask about specific dates and times and I will be sure to add you to my calendar!

“Jennifer did a fantastic job with Kennedy during daycare. She sent updates and pictures too which is always fantastic. Kennedy loves getting to spend the day with Jennifer and her family. Always 5 star treatment! ”

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover who cherishes the unconditional love and companionship these furry friends bring into our lives. I have the pleasure of sharing my home with two wonderful canine companions, a Beagle and a Labmix. Pet care is seamlessly integrated into my daily and weekly routine. With my two dogs living in my secure, fenced home, I have the privilege of being with them around the clock. This allows me to provide constant care, engage in training sessions, and enjoy regular walks with my beloved furry companions. My approach to caring for pets, whether in my own home or at a client's residence, is tailored to their specific needs. At my place, I have a secure backyard along with a walk-out full basement, offering a safe and comfortable environment. I delight in taking dogs for leisurely walks, tending to their daily needs, and providing dedicated training when required. With two dogs of my own, my home is well-prepared to welcome and accommodate furry guests
About: I got my first dog (fox terrier) at 10 and was primarily responsible for his needs until I went to college. He lived to be 11 and I loved those 10 years with him so much. During high school and college until COVID started, I pet sit several dogs and a few cats. Then I adopted a retired racing greyhound when COVID started and adopted a rescue great dane in fall 2023. I would describe myself as consistent, adaptable, respectful, confident, observant, and caring. I am very understanding to the fact that every dog has different needs and that every owner has their own rules/training styles. I am an experienced dog handler. When I adopted the rescue great dane, he was completely untrained with very dangerous and challenging behaviors. I worked with 3 different trainers, took him to a group obedience class, and researched as much as I could to train him to be the good dog I knew he could be. After almost a year of rigorous training, he has been able to become an amazing well behaved dog. I am completely open to taking care of any breed, size, age, and personality. I will not shy away from or turn down taking care of the "difficult" dogs, or puppies, or senior dogs with many medical requirements. All dogs are great and deserve great care while their human is away! Last Updated: 7/9/2025 ***I live in a neighborhood off of Route 45 and Sterns School*** WALKS AND DROP-INS - Reoccurring bookings: Mon-Wed/Fri-Sun 11:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; Thu 1:00-7:00 p.m. - One-time bookings: Can be outside of the above times if needed, but confirm with me first. ***A DISCOUNTED WALK RATE IS AVAILABLE DURING ALL BOARDING, HOUSE SITTING, AND DAYCARE BOOKINGS*** - 30 min walk per day = $10 (usually $20) - 15 min walk per day = $5 HOUSE SITTING: I am available to stay with your pet in your home any night and day of the week almost 24/7. I have a few re-occurring weekly dog walks so I would need to be gone for a few hours midday usually. BOARDING: Your dog can stay overnight at my house any day of the week, provided that they are a small breed, well-behaved, and okay with large dogs.* DAYCARE: Your dog can stay at my house any day of the week provided that they are a small breed, well-behaved, and okay with large dogs.* - Re-occurring bookings: preferred drop off is 9 a.m. or later, pick up anytime is fine - One-time bookings: drop off can be earlier than 9 a.m. if needed, just confirm with me first, pick up anytime is fine --- *My greyhound is 9 y.o., 70 lb. and my great dane is 4 y.o., 140 lb. My great dane LOVES small, well-behaved dogs, but still struggles a bit with medium/large dogs. I am working to resolve this and will be able to accommodate those sizes for boarding/daycare in the future! ^If I house sit for you and you have a medium/large dog that cannot be left alone or does not like other dogs, I can still bring them to my house and crate my dogs in the other room! I will always uphold any rules/training style you have for me and your dog no matter what service I am providing. I am receptive to feedback and will always keep you informed about how my time is going with your dog and will always ask questions in order to take the best care of your dog. HOUSE SITTING: I am okay with multidog homes. I will leave your house the way you had it when you leave and I can get your mail/packages/put your trash cans out and back in as well. I can take care of other animals you have as well while you are gone. BOARDING/DAYCARE: Safety and peace of mind is of utmost importance for me. Since I have 2 large dogs already, I can only take one dog at a time. (Caveats: If an emergency, I could take a second dog; if you have two well-behaved small dogs, that might be okay too - just ask me). The greyhound is very chill and is great with any well-behaved dog. The great dane is fine with well-behaved small dogs. I will always take it slow on leash when introducing the dogs to each other and then they will always be supervised when together. Only other pets I have are fish. I have no kids. I keep the house very clean and doors to rooms/bathrooms closed so no way of getting in to things they shouldn't! I have a decently sized fenced backyard. There is a few feet of the fence that is higher off the ground so if I can keep small dogs on leash when they go out. I can also take them out by themself if necessary. I live in a 4 bedroom house with a basement so plenty of room in case the dogs need a break from each other or need to play separately from each other. Additionally, the great dane is extremely well crate trained and has an upstairs and downstairs crate that can be utilized. If I had to leave for some reason while your dog is staying at my house (which I rarely do, all dogs would be separated (by crate or being in a different room). You can bring their crate and/or I have an extra crate as well. All dogs can sleep in the bedroom but not on the bed!
