About: My husband and I both work full time out of the house. We're not home during the week 8-9 hours at a time. We live in a single story house on 14.75 acres (no fence). I have had dogs most of my life before moving to Central New York, then finally got our dog in 2017 after moving into our house. My husband and I personally have a dog named Stitch and 2 rabbits, Zander and Rocky. If any of the dogs can't leave their cages alone we relocate the rabbits to another room. No worries they are used to this. Where we can enjoy a good game of fetch in the back yard (long line of course). Your dog(s) will be a part of the family and treated as if they are our own dogs while at our house. If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask. Pets are taken care of first. They depend on us to take care of them so that's how it is for us. My pets are well taken care of and socialized. Dogs that come to stay with us are treated like family. They lounge on the couch (if they are aloud at home) with us after a day at work.

About: As a certified dog trainer, I provide structured, positive reinforcement-based training tailored to each dog’s needs. I also offer safe and enjoyable walks, ensuring dogs get both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I’m skilled at reading canine body language and behavior, which allows me to provide calm, engaging, and stress-free experiences for each dog I work with. Whether it’s training sessions, walks, or enrichment, I treat every dog with care, understanding, and empathy. My client hours are Tues.-Fri. from 12 to 8 p.m., and Sat. 12 to 3 p.m. (excluding holidays). As a professional dog trainer, I love spending quality time with pets each day. In addition to caring for my own animals (two dogs, a cat, and several chickens!), I work with shelter dogs and training clients, giving me extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments. I love providing safe, attentive, and empathetic care, whether it’s through training sessions, walks, drop-ins, or enrichment activities. I offer in-home training sessions, Adventure Training sessions, and walks, always making the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet a priority. All training is based on positive reinforcement (R+) methods, ensuring dogs feel motivated, engaged, and confident while learning. During walks, I make sure each dog is leashed, closely monitored, and walked in a safe environment. Communication is a top priority—I provide updates on behavior, progress, and next steps, so you can rest assured that your pet is in capable, attentive, and compassionate hands. All walks include loose-leash reinforcement.

About: I grew up with two cats, so I love cats as well as dogs. In 2019, I adopted an incredibly loving, gorgeous lab pit named Lucy, and she keeps me very active every day! She was a rescue dog, and although we were originally fostering her, I bonded with her too much to let her go. I’ve always been a natural introvert and have been drawn to the compassion of animals. I believe we can learn more about our own humanity through caring for animals. I look forward to meeting your amazing furry friends! In addition to Rover, I substitute teach right now, and this allows me to have a very flexible schedule. It's closer to part-time than full-time. My priority is to listen and adapt to each client’s needs/preferences, so that both the client and their pets will be as happy as possible.

About: I have extensive experience caring for homes and animals of all kinds. Animal care is a primary source of joy and income for me. I also teach yoga and love to practice with the animals I stay with. I have experience caring for cats, dogs, fish, reptiles, and am willing to learn more about other animals that need care while you're away. I will add, there is no option to add rates for animals aside from cats and dogs. I have an additional rate for animals in tanks or cages at a rate of $10 per tank/cage per day. After leaving my office job to fully embrace my passions, I’m now living the dream and dedicating myself to what truly inspires me—providing exceptional care for animals! Along with being a dedicated pet sitter, I’m also a yoga instructor and a songwriter, constantly striving to grow these professional paths. One of the best parts of my transition is the flexibility in my schedule, which allows me to offer personalized care to each of your pets. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll, a hike in nature, or a playful afternoon indoors, I can adapt to your pets’ needs and make sure they get the attention and love they deserve. I take pride in offering luxury-level care for your beloved pets. During house-sitting stays, I ensure they receive ample attention and playtime to support their mental and physical well-being. As an avid hiker, I make it a priority to get outside daily so with your permission, your pets will enjoy plenty of exercise and fresh air under my care. To provide the highest standard of care and give you complete peace of mind, I kindly ask that any special care instructions be shared with me prior to my stay and documented in detail. This allows me to tailor my approach and ensure your pets' needs are met with the utmost attention and professionalism. DISCLAIMER: To ensure the highest level of care and accountability, I kindly ask that all animals in the household be included in the booking, regardless of the level of care they require. As your pet sitter, it is my responsibility to ensure that all animals in the home remain safe and well during my stay. I also appreciate a tidy home with access to basic amenities to create a comfortable and productive environment for everyone. House sitting is a holistic responsibility, encompassing the care of your home and all its furry, feathered, or scaled residents, ensuring the entire household remains harmonious. Thank you for your understanding and for entrusting me with the care of your home and pets. I look forward to working with you!

About: I have grown up around pets my whole life! Dogs, cats. I loved getting to know them all and take care of them. There personalities are all different much like a human and I am always excited to see who they really are. I am looking to get a part time job within the next two weeks. So more than not I will be able to watch and play with my new friends more! I have been around many dogs before even ones that are more aggressive. Over time I have started to learn the signs of two dogs who are uncomfortable with each other. I would never leave a dog with another dog that isn’t comfortable. I can crate the dog or have them there at different times.

About: Before I could even remember, I have always been surrounded by dogs. Whether I am with small or giant dogs, I love them all so much! It is one of my many enjoyments to be able to make a dogs day (more like they make my day)! I am excited for the opportunity to walk, feed, and/or play with your dog! I am a graduate student working on my masters in school counseling. Being a full-time student, I have extensive time to be able to fit pet care into my schedule. Caring for my client's dogs, I treat them with the same respect and love as I would to my own dog. It is important for me to give them the most attention and affection because their lives are only so long. I will make sure that your dog is met with all their needs.

About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 580 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Perryville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Perryville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Perryville.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Perryville. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
