As we just moved to a new state and hadn't made any friends we could even ask, he agreed to give Rover a try. He has very high standards of care and treatment, so this was a big step for him. Together, we looked over the profiles, read reviews and looked at the number of repeat customers the pet sitters had. He was impressed with Ellen, so we set up a meet and greet (m&g). He was still very anxious about leaving the "children" the morning of our m&g and wanted to just cancel our Anniversary cruise instead of taking a chance. After meeting Ellen, he felt SO much better that we completed the booking. He loved getting the updates of her visits, it helped him to relax. When we got home, he looked everything over very carefully and declared the experience a HUGE success! We are already talking with Ellen about setting up the next booking. About: I have had many different kinds of pets in my life including dogs, cats, horses, snakes, birds, etc. I love dogs the most and have two of my own and treat them like they are my children. I have been pet sitting for many many years I am just new to rover! I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama so I know the town really well and all the best places for your fur baby! I am currently in between states. I just moved back home from Illinois and will be moving to Georgia April 23rd but while I’m here I am available all day every day! I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space and two dogs of my own to play with your fur baby and keep them company. I do not crate my dogs they have the whole house but I can crate yours if needed.

About: I have had many pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, chinchilla) since childhood and majored in agriculture sciences with the intent of being a veterinarian. I was a vet tech for 2 veterinary hospitals in my younger years which included providing care for a wide range of pets (all types of dogs and cats, domesticated small animals such as non-venomous reptiles, amphibians, tortoises, chinchillas, birds, pet rats, dogs, etc.) with a full range of medical needs. I am experienced in providing special medical accommodations to include adminstering medicine, subQ fluids, and handling mobility issues. I work full-time Monday through Friday but have a flexible schedule with about 50% of my week working from home. I am available on weekends. I currently have a senior cat and a rescued dog child who follows me everywhere. We have a large fenced in yard with a pool and 3 kids to help keep those highly active pets entertained. I also have the ability to provide a quiet space for those who like to relax.
