“Samantha was very responsive and communicative the whole time. She really took great care of my dogs and kept me updated with messages and photos. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 11 years old. It started with my family dog, along with family members dogs. I would walk them and feed them. I then got my own dogs that I do all care for. I started fostering with a local rescue in 2022. I’ve cared for dogs with medical issues. Anywhere from Seizure disorders, parasites and other various medical issues. I treat every dog that I care for as if they’re my own. I currently work full time, M-F 730a-330p. I am able to check in, walk, feed, etc, dogs before work, during my lunch and after work. I have 2 dogs of my own. We live in a 3 bedroom house. Unfortunately, I don’t have a fenced in yard. I do take my dogs on multiple walks everyday along with utilizing a tie out (if they want to stay out longer), and would do the same with yours, so they get some outside time.
About: My experience with animals but more cats than anything but I have grand puppies that I love and have taken care of. I have had them overnight and have gone to their house out my personal schedule to let outside, to feed and love. I have two cats that is not just pets but are like mine and my wife's kids. Kiki is 13 year old female and she is very active and loveable at times. Max is our 18lb baby who is a clown and very active. My grand puppies are two Huskys, a black lab and two mix breed dogs who I have partially help raise. All in all I love these animals as family members. I would do the same for yours. My schedule is flexible. I have another job where I shop and certain days of the week is slow. This would be perfect to fill the slow times from my other job Well our two cats are very much loved. We don't have fenced in yard but we built a cat patio so our two cats would get fresh and feel safe.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of various kinds since I was 10. Friends, family and neighbors have relied on me to walk, feed and play with their pets. Currently I work on a 10 month contract. Therefore I have summer off so I have plenty of time to provide pet care to those in need of such services. I am a very trustworthy person who has tremendous respect for other people’s property and belongings. I especially respect pets with their needs and desires.

“Super fast and thorough communication, amazing response time on booking; Rachel has great energy, sent lots of awesome pictures & made sure my cat felt like he had enough attention and play time! 10/10 would book again no doubt.”

About: Hi! I’m a passionate animal lover with hands-on experience caring for pets of all personalities and needs. I have been on Rover for several years and am starting up my business again. I LOVE being outdoors and am always happy to take dogs on walks, to the park, or even spend time by the lake. I have a 6-year-old chihuahua mix named Ghost, who I fostered before adopting. I completely understand how to support dogs who may be a little “sassy” and just need extra patience and love...because trust me, chihuahua's have BIG personalities! Ghost also has Addison’s Disease, which has given me several years of experience managing daily medications and have been trained by my veterinarian on how to administer his monthly injections. I’m confident and comfortable caring for pets with medical or special needs. I’m also a volunteer with Happy Tails (Ontario County Humane Society), where I continue to deepen my commitment to animal care. In addition to dogs, I have a cat of my own and am happy to care for cats too, whether that’s feeding, litter box maintenance, playtime, or just providing plenty of snuggles. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority! I’m currently working from home with a flexible schedule and can work around your schedule! I’m happy to stop by whenever is convenient for you. I prefer at least a day notice in advance if possible. I will follow whatever instructions you provide. Does your pup need a walk? Does he/she need to play fetch in the backyard? Or does he/she just need cuddles? I’m happy to provide multiple levels of care because I care about your pup!
About: I am currently a Senior nursing major at Keuka College. I grew up with 2 dogs and 2 cats in the house. I unfortunately don’t have any pets in the house currently. Most of my experience is from watching friends pets but I would love to meet some new fur babies!! I’m flexible to drive or to have pets at my house. I do have experience with senior dogs and giving them the medication and special attention needed. I am a Keuka College college student that’s works part time in Canandaigua. I am very flexible over the summer. Availability is posted on my page. I have grown up with pets and am used to taking care of them. I have also pet sitting for neighbors since I was a little kid and still continue to pet sit years later.

“Bill and Emma we're great! They're very patient and caring, and made sure our dog was well looked after. They clearly love animals, and we're very happy to recommend them!”

“Amazing!! Our dog looks forward to her visits and we know he is in good hands. Keeps communication open and goes above expectations while caring for our dog. Would highly recommend”

“Teri checked in with our two cats for several days while we were away and took wonderful care of them. We couldn't have asked for better! I knew that the pets were in great hands and was able to focus on the details of our trip instead of worrying.”

About: Note: 98% of my business is private clients because Rover does not send me much business. My prices reflect my time with your loved pets and we hope that you would pay us more than your cleaning lady/man because your fur kids are of most important to you. Right? I am booked probably 1/2-3/4 of the month on my own but I would love to help you thru Rover. My prices reflect my service and need to charge an amount which Rover will take 20% of my fee. Why you should pick me as your preferred petsitter: I am responsible. Love Pets and your pet(s) are where they belong - in your/their home - unless I am hosting your pet(s). I administer oral and injectable medication to pets as you prescribe. Dogs, cats, fish and birds love me. I stay because it is good for your pets too and I don't want to drive to your home everytime I feed your pet. I save you time by not having to drive to the dogggy/pet hotel. If you need more info, please let me know - plenty of references. Every client hires me again. Note: If you lie about the number of pets and kind in your home, I think that honesty is the best policy if you want my help and I want you to be honest with Rover and since I will be in your home. We need mutual respect. Hiring me is not about saving money, it is about keeping your pet in a familiar and happy environment. My first interview is by phone before I come to your house. Please send me your phone number upon request of my services plus your cross streets and zip code. I send pics if your wifi is working. Please let me know how often you want pics emailed to you. If you want need more services or hours let me know and the cost will increase*. Housitting means that I am coming to your home to petsit vs you boarding your pet at my home. It means that I go in and out of your home based upon my schedule. If you want a midday walk or specify times of service, there is an extra visit fee which will be added. Likewise, an early arrival before dinner/service after I serve breakfast should be booked as a stop in or midday visit or additional day. Ask, if this is not clear. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
