She was able to take my two dogs last minute after another rover person did not answer when I was at their house. She was amazing with my babies and they really enjoyed her. Definately recommend!!

Mary is awesome! Our dog was accepted and treated as part of her family! My dog would be anxious and glued to me for a week after being boarded. But after staying 3 days with Mary, she is calm and relaxed as if we never left. I could tell she enjoyed her stay by the pics Mary sent me and her demeanor when I picked her up. We will definitely be using Mary every time if she is available!

Madison did such a great job with Cooper! His excitement, new environment jitters and eating too fast caused him to vomit the first couple of days. Madison handled it like a pro, she seeked guidance from the vet who confirmed what seemed to be happening. She adjusted his food intake to help him keep food down and made some other changes which fixed the problem! Goose, their dog, was a wonderful big brother to Cooper and they all gave him love like he was their own. Cooper was taken on lovely walks on trails and to the dog park and Goose also shared his antlers with Coop which is now his favorite thing to chew! We were very happy with the care given to our crazy little kid and Madison went over and beyond!

This weekend was my 1st time using Rover, and I loved the experience! Lisa was able to keep my pups on a very short notice. She was communicative, friendly, and even sent multiple updates per day (including pictures) letting me know how my pups were doing. I will definitely be booking with them again! 🩷🐾

About: We have had a dog or dogs for over 20 years. My husband and I both grew up with dogs as well. Our two dogs have been with us since they were puppies and both of them attended three levels of dog training classes. I work part-time very early in the morning and we spend a lot of time at home because my kids are homeschooled. There is usually always someone at home. I will do as much as I can to accommodate the dog owner’s preference in care for their dog. We have two dogs that can play with your dog. If your dog needs to be in a crate I can accommodate that. Our dogs are not allowed on the couches and chairs but my children do let them sleep in their beds.

About: Hi! My family has had dogs my whole life and I currently have a dog myself, she is 4 years old. While i’m newer to pet sitting, I’m responsible, patient, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable. I already take daily walks as part of my routine, so caring for pets fits in very naturally. I enjoy having a dog join me—it makes the time more enjoyable while ensuring they get consistent, relaxed exercise. For dog walks, I make sure they get safe, relaxed exercise during my daily walking time. I pay attention to their pace, energy level, and comfort, and I always keep them on a secure leash. At my home, I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can safely spend time outside for potty breaks and fresh air. I make sure they are always supervised and safe while outdoors.

About: Hi, I’m Izzy! I’ve been a professional dog trainer for nearly 4 years, with 8 years of animal care, and am KPA-CCT certified, an AKC evaluator, and experienced with both pet and working dogs. I offer pet sitting and boarding that blends comfort with structure. Your dog will get personalized care, enrichment, and positive experiences while you’re away. Whether you have a high energy puppy or a dog in training, I ensure they stay safe, happy, and well mannered. I currently make my own schedule, with the exception of Fridays, where I’m busy from 1pm-6pm. I love to hike and jog trails, so I typically take my pets with. I also have a pond where we swim in the summer. Safety is always my top priority. I maintain a secure, dog-friendly environment where every pet is supervised and set up for success. I manage introductions carefully, use gates and crates when needed, and never leave dogs unattended together. My home is fully fenced, and I monitor play to ensure everyone stays happy and stress-free. I also follow each owner’s feeding, medication, and training routines closely to keep things consistent and safe.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Pearl City home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
