“Christine is awesome! She is conscientious and dependable! We will definitely have her dog-sit again, and not have large packages delivered during that time for her to lug inside!”

About: Hi there! I'm a dedicated veterinary technician with a deep passion for animal care. With years of experience in pet healthcare, I ensure every furry friend receives skilled attention, affection, and the best possible care. I also had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, helping raise and train future service dogs—a truly rewarding experience that strengthened my understanding of canine behavior, training, and specialized care. Whether it’s administering medications, providing companionship, or just giving the best belly rubs, your pet is in safe and loving hands! I am currently a full-time pet care giver, ready to provide comfort, care, and kindness to your pet’s day and peace of mind to yours! Safety is my top priority, which is why I will keep you updated with all pet-care services, follow special instructions, and keep doors and fences locked at all times

About: I am a cat lover through-and-though. Each cat I meet, I treat them like I would treat my own. I rescued all 3 of my cats, and have rescued and fostered more. I am commited to providing the utmost care and love to your cats! In addition to taking care of my own 3 cats, I have plenty of time to care for others! My work schedule is flexible and allows me to provide the best care! I am able to be as involved as your cats need - whether they only need to be fed, or if they need multiple litter box scoops and lots of playing. I also love to cuddle with and pet my own cats, and will treat yours no different.

About: I have volunteered at local animal shelters for over seven years. I’ve also adopted my fair share of furry friends! No animal is a stranger to me and I promise to love yours like my own! I work from home and love an excuse to get out of the house. Therefore my schedule is usually wide open to take care of your pets when you can’t! I treat every animal like they’re family—because they are. My goal is to keep your pets happy, safe, and as relaxed as possible while you're away. Whether your pup is full of energy or prefers couch snuggles and lazy strolls, I’ll match their vibe. I am very detail oriented and will make sure you pet gets exactly what they need! For cats, I understand they run the show. I let them take the lead and respect any and all boundaries!

About: I’ve had a family dog for over 6 years and have helped to train her and take care of her! I also have dog sat for neighbors and friends all throughout high-school and a few times so far in college! I’m currently in school but my schedule does allow for daily drop-ins or staying overnight! I would love to be able to accommodate requests to the best of my abilities! Anything that is asked of a pet parent I am willing to do for the care of your animal! I can take walks, simply check in with your pet, or stay overnight if you’re away!

“Ada was amazing with my girl! Would 100% recommend!”

About: I have been sitting on Rover for about four and a half years and for both dogs and cats of ALL ages, particularly high-energy puppies! I work at State full time Monday - Friday. I am able to be there full time on the weekends and can come home during lunch time for potty breaks. I would keep your home clean and leave exactly the way I entered it. I will make sure that food/objects are not within reach for curious pets.

About: I have had dogs in my house since before I could walk and currently have a puppy of my own, she is a French bulldog, Boston terrier mix. I have volunteered at different animal shelters in the Jackson and Starkville area, taking the dogs for walks and playing with them. I always look forward to taking care of all animals, whether they are new to me or not! :) I am currently studying and taking classes for nursing school, however, I am more than capable of waking up early and coming by to check in whenever I need to. Additionally, with enough notice I could schedule in visits with my daily plans I can easily leash up pets for daily walks and follow whatever instructions are given to me to ensure the safety of your pets. My priority will be your pet’s safety.

“Mallie was great with my high energy pup!”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats my whole life, I am also experienced with farm animals (including large animals) and some exotics (specifically birds and rodents). I am currently working at an animal hospital and am applying for vet school soon. I am also a member of the American Kennel Club and have experience with animal behavior. I would love to take care of your pet! I am a student at Mississippi State and work Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. I do my best to keep my Rover calendar up to date. I am also experienced with many medications and know how to administer them. Your pets needs are my top priority.

About: As a sitter, I provide personalized, loving care, tailored to each pet’s needs. My skills include administering medications, handling anxious pets, and ensuring safety during walks. I am currently a full-time college student at MSU. I am pretty free/easy to work with/around my school schedule since it is my Senior year. I provide attentive, loving care by following routines, ensuring plenty of playtime, and maintaining a safe environment. I prioritize each pet’s comfort, health, and happiness.

About: I have had dogs as pets since I was 8. Always loved all types of dogs. We have a 2 year old inside dog that is spoiled rotten. He loves playing with other dogs. I’m self employed and can set my own schedule. I have the capability to come back home and check on pets and let them outside. I live on almost 3 acres in the country. Very quiet street with very little traffic. Not fenced in but can keep a close eye on pets when outside.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a child. They are an absolute joy. Friends have trusted me to look after their pets many times, and their pets absolutely adore me just as much as I adore them. I believe in giving pets ample love and attention, as well as activities so they get exercise and they're not bored. I do not work my full-time job on weekends, which gives me the opportunity to give my undivided attention to your fur baby. Although I work during the week, I will take breaks to check in on your pets and allow them to take potty breaks. I am happy to have dogs in my home, or keep them company at your your home. I will keep them active by going on walks and visiting the dog park, if that is something you think they would enjoy. I do not have children or other pets, so your pet will be 100% safe.

About: Hello! I have been a volunteer with the Humane Society since 2018 and have experience doing all sorts of things! I have overseen meet and greets with new owners, fed/watered dogs on a schedule, cleaned yards, walked dogs, watched over playtime in the yards with multiple dogs, dealt with puppies, trained puppies, handled senior dogs, and handled cats as well. I went through orientation and training in order to be in this position at the shelter, so I have a good understanding of animal behavior and treatment. I also have two dogs of my own back at home and have been around dogs my whole life. (I’m okay with snakes too, I’ve had one of my own). I have been a pet sitter for family friends as well and have been told that they love the way I care for their babies! I am an avid animal lover and plan to become a veterinary surgeon. I am currently at Mississippi State University in the pre-vet concentration of my animal and dairy sciences major! I am home from college for the summer, so my schedule is super open! I work part-time and shifts are only about 4 hours, so that leaves me plenty of time to give your pets the quality time that they deserve! I will be very dedicated to giving your fur babies the best care possible. My own dog is super active and she gets walked for an hour in the mornings, another shorter walk mid-day (weather permitting), and then another hour long walk in the evenings with plenty of play time in between! I will send daily updates and photos if you are away from home and I am doing drop in visits! I know that when pet parents are away, pets can become lonely and feel left out but I am here to make sure that they have fun and have a happy time! I have such a great passion for helping pets and will treat your babies like they’re my own!

About: Hello I have worked at a veterinarian clinic in my home town for 3+ years now and I am looking for some jobs here in Starkville while I am away and would love to help take care of any animals. As a full time student I think pet care will be easy to fit into my schedule daily or weekly any time that is needed. You can trust in my care of your pets as I worked at an all animal clinic so I have experience with many different animals and things to do in emergency situations.

About: I work at Shaggy Hound where we treat your dogs just like our own. I take care of dogs from 3 months to 17 years old. I can administer medications and keep them on a regular schedule. I can also start training your dog basic commands while they are in my care. I believe what sets me apart from other people is my knowledge and experience. I used to work at a vet clinic for four years and now I work as a Kennel Tech. I have gained so much confidence in my ability to handle and work with animals. Pet care fits into my routine because it’s what I do for work, i work with dogs and then I come home and get to spoil my own dog and cats. I have a passion for caring for animals because they can’t do it for themselves. Your pets depend on you and that is my motivation to be better for them everyday. I care for other people’s animals with the same genuine love as I do my own. Pets are apart of the family and deserve to see love and respect always.

“Very gentle with my little chihuahua whippet mix. By day 4 of walks he was very excited to see Alexis when she arrived for his walk. Unfortunately, weather was so miserably hot outside, longest walk was only about 20 minutes. Shortest about 12 minutes (paid for 30 minutes walks). I would definitely use her again! Highly recommend!”

About: I trained my old and current dog and now she is ESA certified. She’s exceptionally well behaved and listens to commands very well. I spoil her with treats and play time and I would risk my life for her like I would for yours. I take my dog out 4-5 times a day to play or use the bathroom. I feed her twice a day and give her plenty of love and attention. From belly rubs to wrestling. I would treat any animal I sit like mine. I keep an eye on them 24/7. I watch them outside so they don’t eat anything that will make them sick. I don’t let them chew on anything that could be dangerous.

About: Hi! My name is Ava and I am a vet student at Mississippi State! I have been taking care of animals in all types of settings (vet kennel, dog/catsitting, zoo, lab, animal shelter clinics) since high school as I have been working towards becoming a veterinarian. I can administer any medications necessary and I am prepared to work with all of your furry friends! :) I am in school all day, but I do have an hour lunch break so I am free to walk your furry friends! I also have all evenings and days during the weekend free for drop in visits and housesitting. I care for pets in my client's homes by ensuring that they always have access to plenty of food and water, receive a lot of attention, and are outside regularly for walks/playtime. I am also comfortable administering any type of medications needed. My number one goal is to ensure that your pet is safe and comfortable throughout the duration of my time with them.
