“Joanna was the best possible choice we could have made. When things fell through for a sitter right before our big family road trip she came to the rescue and helped us out so much. She loved our doggos just like they were her own and treated them just as good, if not a little better due to all the walks, then we would have! Definitely our go to for the next time we need a little help”

I follow your rules to a T and make sure pets are absolutely comfortable. I’m an expert with their body language. I love to spoil with pets, toys, and treats (long as it’s good with you!). About: That distinguishes me is a blend of specific talents, such as constructive reinforcement puppy training and caring geriatric pet care, as well as a solid basis that includes dependability, understanding, and respect. I provide clear communication, a cautious approach to families and pets, and a true love of animals that motivates me to go beyond what is necessary to guarantee their comfort and pleasure. I understand that you're trusting me with your beloved pets and home, which is why I prioritize showing up on time, following instructions, and maintaining clear communication every time. I have a solid understanding of common animal behaviors, allowing me to recognize and adapt to individual pet personalities and quirks for a stress-free experience. I’m currently looking for anything part time to make extra income and trying to be happy in what i would want to try and do, so i’ll do the best I can to make time for everything. I have a fenced yard, friendly animals, and if needed I’m able to separate from eachother. I will do anything to make any pet feel comfortable and safe. My pet care services provide for a pet's essential needs like food, water, shelter, exercise, and health, while also offering companionship.

About: I’m new to the Rover community but I look forward to expanding my profile and making time for your companions. My family and I have had dogs are entire +20 years, til this day too. We’ve had large and small dogs, several breeds, some became mothers, and some left the family—so I’ve experienced full life cycles of dogs. Because of my understandings of having a furry companion, I have a soft spot for all furry buddies and i’m committed to learning and adapting to taking care of a new friend if it means making a fellow pet owner’s life a little easier. I love to be active so I can take your buddy for nice nature walks, play with them, or even down time with endless head/belly scratches—whatever your friend needs I can give. My two dogs, Muffin and Biscuit enjoy short walks and eating snacks so they’re two furballs of fun! I’m available for drop-ins or house sitting when needed. At your home I can keep your pet active with playtime and walks or I can just keep an eye on them, whatever is best for your pet! I am a student and a healthcare worker but I will always make more time for a pet when needed. Services including: -Dog walks, 30-45 min. To give your pet fresh air, a break from indoor spaces, and a simple exercise around a nice neighborhood or a dog friendly trail. -House drop-ins. to make sure your pet is safe and sound, the house is clean, well fed and stimulated, with playtime, potty breaks, and head scratches to remind them they’re never alone. -House Sitting. Hours will vary. My service includes providing basic necessities and care for your pets (food, water, walks, playtime, naps, potty breaks) to keep your home and your pet comfortable and safe

About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs since I was 10. I’ve cared for pets belonging to family, friends, and neighbors, including walking, feeding, bathing, playtime, and giving them plenty of love and attention. I’m patient, dependable, and treat every pet like my own. I currently work remotely, which gives me the flexibility to build pet care into my daily routine. I’m able to take breaks throughout the day for walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and plenty of attention. I love having a pet nearby while I work, and I’m happy to make sure they feel comfortable, included, and cared for rather than left alone for long periods of time. I can also plan my schedule around the needs of each pet, including their feeding, medication, exercise, and rest routines. I have a spacious, fenced backyard and a safe, loving home where pets can feel comfortable and at ease. I maintain a clean, organized environment and take safety seriously, including making sure doors and gates are secure and pets are supervised appropriately. I’m also mindful of each pet’s personality, energy level, and comfort around new people or animals. Before a stay or visit, I like to learn about their routines, feeding instructions, allergies, medications, and any behaviors I should be aware of so I can provide thoughtful, individualized care. My goal is for every owner to feel confident that their pet is in a safe and nurturing environment.

About: My family had puppy dog named Hazel who we had for about 3 years. I used to play fetch with her in the backyard when I’d come home from school when I was around 10. I’d help with baths, walking her, my mom taught me how bring her inside when I was home alone doing homework, she behaved great and protected me well. A few years later, she passed from choking while eating something that I think had a bone in it and that was the first experience of heartbreak/loss. A few years after that, I adopted my current pet cat on my birthday, Ace, who I love so much. I’ve always loved animals and give pets to dogs whenever I have permission to, my best friend has many dogs so when I go over her house, I get all the cuddles and get drooled on, which I’m used to at this point. I love watching dog training videos and educating myself as I get older so when I finally get a dog again, as an adult, I want to be prepared and educated on how to protect their health, feed them properly and keep them safe with proper nutrition, exercise and training. I would personally love to get myself a Doberman or German Shepherd (Like Hazel was). I often go to my aunts house who has multiple chunky french bulldogs and help her in anyway I can, I enjoy how sweet dogs are and would love to help do any training techniques you’d love your little doggo to be working on while you are away. I am also in the process of my goal of losing 100lbs! So this helps me get the exercise I need while doing something I’m passionate about! Weekday and Weekends for now, preferably during the Morning & Afternoons on Weekdays and anytime as long as there is a day notice beforehand so I can clear my schedule just for your pet. Not currently doing pet sitting or boarding at my own home, maybe I will be more likely to in the future but I’m not sure yet.

I am available seven days a week to help you with your needs. I have a fenced yard so plenty of room for your dogs to play. I have two small dogs. One was a rescue. My dogs are inside dogs and are crated at night for bedtime.

About: I work on a hybrid schedule, ensuring that during your pup’s stay, they will always have human companionship. To provide the best experience, I host ONLY ONE PUP PER DAY. I’ve been an active volunteer at an animal shelter for the past two years, fostering and caring for dogs of various sizes and breeds. I enjoy being around dogs and want to provide the best experience for them during their stays. At home, I have a one-year-old husky mix named Cersei. She is very energetic, has a sweet and friendly nature, and loves spending time with other dogs and people. She’s playful and gentle, enjoys sharing her toys and food with her furry friends. During your pet’s stay, they will enjoy:     •    Potty breaks every four to five hours     •    Basic command reinforcement (Feel free to share a list of commands you'd like me to practice!)     •    Playtime with Cersei, check Cersei’s profile down below to see many of her playdates!     •    Supervised outdoor adventures (always on a leash), including long walks, visits to recreation centers for socializing, beach outings, trail hikes, campus walks, and other enriching activities. I work in a hybrid model, spending three days at home each week. I currently have one dog and previously cared for two large dogs at home for three months. My pet care routine includes three to four daily walks and an hour of playtime. I live in a safe, dog-friendly community with a fenced yard, and my neighbors—mostly graduate students—are welcoming to dogs. I also have comprehensive pet supplies, allowing me to accommodate various needs when needed.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Paradise Springs

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
