“Angela is super sweet and responsive. She brought her kids along to care for my dog so I know he got all the love and attention during their drop ins. Definitely will work with her again!”

“So incredibly thankful for the kindness and care given to a cat that doesn’t like anyone. You must have great energy that she even came out to say hello! And the kindness towards the strays that I feed. So grateful. 💕”

About: I can handle any dog big or small, high energy, low energy, timid or anxious. Experience; many years of watching family and friends amazing pets. I’m currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time for your pups! I’m available most weekdays early mornings, late afternoons and weekends anytime! While pet sitting I enjoy playing fetch and taking them for walks/runs. I give them one on one attention and make sure they are comfortable.
About: I treat every pet like family and understand that no two animals are the same. I have hands-on experience with puppies, senior dogs, and pets with special medical needs. I’m trained in administering oral and injectable medications, and I’m patient, consistent, and attentive to behavior cues. I’ve also raised my own pets and cared for high-energy breeds that need extra playtime and structure. Whether your dog needs gentle care or active engagement, I tailor each visit to their comfort level and routine. Caring for animals is a natural part of my everyday life. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets the attention and consistency they deserve. Whether it’s morning walks, midday playtime, or evening snuggles, I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine. I love being active and outdoors, so daily walks and check-ins are something I genuinely look forward to. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment. In my home, pets have plenty of space to relax, play, and feel comfortable—plus lots of snuggles and attention throughout the day. I stick closely to their normal routine for feeding, potty breaks, and bedtime so they feel secure and at ease. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with the same respect and care I’d want for my own. I follow all instructions closely, keep things tidy, and send regular updates with photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: Hello everyone, my name is Jamie. I’m a recent college graduate looking for another way to make an income. I have worked with animals for several years in addition to owning a few of my own. I currently have two dogs of larger breeds but have previously owned smaller dogs as well. Although this site is primarily for doggos and kitty cats, I’d be more than willing to work with other animals too. I have worked with horses, donkeys, and farm birds (chickens, turkeys, and ducks). I’ve also dabbled in reptile care as well. I’m also a very quick learner so if there’s any specific that your pet needs just let me know! As of right now my schedule is super flexible as I am currently looking for a new job in the area. This allows me to have plenty of time to stay and play with your pups as long as you need. I would care for you pets as I would care for my own. I would make sure that the pet is comfortable in their environment. I would first want to establish a trusting relationship between myself and the animal to make sure the animal feels comfortable and safe before walks/sitting.

About: I've experienced with most kind of animals and have a vet technician certificate for both large and small animal. I work with money animals and there's not much that will scare me off <3 I'm fresh out of college and I'm available almost always, I genuinely feel like taking care of animals is a reward rather than a chore, Please tell me even if your creatures are weird little stick bugs, birds Or a kangaroo! For whatever animal you have please inform me in advance of behaviors that I might need to keep an eye on or if they have medical needs or just general needs. If you have a cat who's a Maine Coon that needs a lot of brushing but is sassy when getting brushed I would like to know in advance. I will not discriminate even if your pet may be a bit aggressive to new people I just want to know for everyone's safety going into this and to ensure your pets have the best experience possible. Frequent bathroom breaks are given however if your animal has different dietary needs I would also like to know that. I'm well aware that some animals may not get along with one another while eating even if they get along fine during the day and I am also aware that some may eat non-Stop with food in front of them and for that I would have to limit their food to meal times. Everything I ask is for the welfare of your pets.
About: I have been caring for dogs for most of my life. I have experience working with both large and small breeds of dogs. Our house has a large yard that for running and playing. My pups love being outside but are also allowed anywhere in the house with us. We believe that dogs are family and treat them as such. Your pups can enjoy lots of playtime, cuddles and treats while they stay with us! We both work from home so we are home all day! We love using rover when we travel and we’ll make sure to take of your pups like they are our own! I work from home, so I’m home all day! We only need to crate them if I’m gone for a short time for errands and we have extra kennels. We have a huge yard for playing! We can crate dogs if needed, but we also have a "dog" bedroom in our house where they can stay.
“Jennifer did drop-in visits for my cat while I was out of town. She took very good care of my Kitty and she sent pictures. She is very responsible and we had great communication. I am very happy with Jennifer and will definitely be using her services again.”

“Madison went above and beyond taking care of my dogs. She kept in contact with me, sent pictures and updates. I knew my girls were in good hands with her. We will deffenitly use Madison again in the future.”

About: Hi! I would be a great option for you to pick me as a sitter! I have owned dogs my entire life so I am familiar with all types. I used to own 2 small Lhasa Apsos which passed away when I was 10. A few months later we adopted a gorgeous German Shepard lab mix. He was treated with anxiety medicine so I can help if your dog needs extra treatment. We loved him so dearly and has recently passed. We got my dog, a labrador retriever as a puppy when our large dog Pepper was 5 years old. So Right now I have a 1 lab that I love with all my heart and I will treat your dogs the same. I have also had experience the past 5 years with watching my neighbors dogs every summer as well. I can take them on walks, play with them, and even spend the night if needed! I hope you consider me as a sitter!! I'd love to help out!
About: I’ve raised my own dogs from puppy age and am very patient whether it be a new puppy or an older senior dog that needs extra help. I myself have a senior dog that can’t walk far but am able to observe if she needs a break. Im at work from 7-3:30 M-F I can stop before and after work and before bedtime depending on location. I do have my own dog at home I will need to let out. I prefer the check in service because I believe animals do better with less stress in their own homes. I will make sure all accidents if any happen and that they have plenty of food and water if needed. Dogs need to use restroom throughout the day and without check ins they can hurt themselves holding in their bladder.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
