About: I’ve grown up with dogs and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I often watch my friends’ pets when they travel, and I really enjoy walks, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe and loved while their owners are away. I already have a pretty consistent routine with work and daily life, so I plan pet care around that. About: I grew up on a farm with a variety of animals. I’ve hosted many types of foster animals from the Lawrence Humane society. I am comfortable with caring for all types of animals! I work full time as a police officer. However when I am working my boyfriend is home to take care of any animals we are hosting. I am available for walks anytime Saturday, Sunday and Mondays. I can walk pets in the evenings every other day of the week. I have a fenced yard and have two crate trained, pet friendly dogs. I’ve fostered for years for the animal shelter so my dogs are familiar with new animals being in the home. When your pets are let out in the yard they will be monitored! About: I started pet sitting a couple years ago for my family and friends and it’s truly a job I love doing. I have experience with pet sitting several different dogs, varying in age and breed. I have experience with senior dogs. My responsibilities while pet sitting dogs included taking dogs on daily walks, preparing food and water, administering medication, and even giving baths. I’m currently a college student at the University of Kansas, and I am taking classes on the weekdays. I have selected that I’m available on all weekdays, because I have several gaps between classes that will allow me check on and take care of your pets every 2-4 hours. About: I have been dog and cat sitting since middle school, so 8 years now! I live in Oklahoma and go to school in Kansas and do Rover in both for half the year. I have a bigger dog and smaller cat of my own at home, but not in Kansas. I volunteer at the Lawrence Humane Society and love all types of animals! Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
