“Lauren is amazing! She watched my two dogs last minute, followed their feeding and medication schedule, took them on walks, and sent lots of photos and updates. I always am nervous to leave my dogs somewhere new and she completely put me at ease. My pups came back happy and relaxed, and I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in great hands. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!”

“Fantastic sitter! Kirsten is very responsive and super sweet to your pets. She handled our cat's odd litter (wood pellet) without issue, which made everything super smooth! Her cat, Momo, was also super gentle and accepting of our Mindy. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter, and I will be holding onto her info for when we need a sitter again!”

“Lindsey was able to help us out in a difficult situation. She was professional, knowledgeable, and caring. She sent us updates while we were away, including pictures, which helped us feel at ease. I would hands down recommend her to keep your fur babies. We had a wonderful experience.”

“Easily the best sitter i’ve had using rover! truly makes my pup feel like family and im never in worry of him being anything that amazing. so communicative and sweet and her kids kept my pup of energy occupied and happy!! couldn’t say more great things!”

“Maria was so kind and patient with my spoiled rotten doodle! I know my pup can be a handful, and I know she had a hard time being away from me for the first time overnight, but Maria did everything possible to keep her happy. She also was wonderful about working with me on pickup and drop off! Traffic was terrible, and she was very accommodating. Thank you, Maria!”

About: Dogs are my passion.A dogs happiness is my happiness. I currently work at a dog daycare/boarding facility and I have worked with training dogs, dog sitting etc for a little over 4 years. I currently work part time, and watch, walk and welcome dogs anytime after 12 on the weekdays and anytime on the weekends. Your pet will be more than welcome and I’ll accommodate your pet anyway I can. I have a fenced in yard, and two amazingly friendly dogs, also I can crate your dog if you prefer. I have a large kennel, or if you prefer to bring your own. Whatever the client prefers.
“Freyja and Bohdi LOVED their time with Falynn. They were well looked after and made to feel right at home. Plenty of love, attention and safe space outdoors to play. They definitely will be visiting again!”

About: I have more than 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and needs. I raised my two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Cane Corso, from puppyhood through their senior years. They were part of my family for 14 and 11 years, so I have firsthand experience with every stage of a dog's life, from energetic puppies and adult dogs to seniors who need extra patience and attention. My experience with dogs actually began much earlier. Growing up, my family had a female French Poodle and a female Labrador, which also gave me experience caring for female dogs, including during their heat cycles. My Golden Retriever and Cane Corso were intact males, so I am comfortable with the additional care and management that intact dogs may require. I also have experience caring for other people's pets. While completing my master's and Ph.D. in Tallahassee, I pet sat for families with dogs of different sizes and breeds, sometimes caring for two dogs in the same household. I handled feeding, walks, playtime, routines, and companionship while their owners were away. I understand that every dog has a different personality and routine. Whether your dog is a puppy, an energetic adult, a large breed, or a senior, my priority is to provide patient, attentive care and make them feel safe and comfortable while they are with me. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible teaching schedule and am home for significant portions of the day, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship. I am an experienced dog owner, and caring for dogs has been part of our daily lives for many years. I am happy to follow your dog's usual feeding, walking, exercise, and bedtime routine so they can feel as comfortable and at home as possible while you are away. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else's care. I provide a calm, attentive home environment and will follow your dog's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions you provide. I have experience with puppies, adult and senior dogs, large breeds, intact dogs, and multi-dog households. I pay close attention to each dog's behavior and individual needs and will keep you updated so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention.
“My pups were extremely happy over at Kika's! She treated them excellent and sent us videos every day. It's hard for us to leave our dogs with someone else, so it was reassuring to leave them with someone who genuinely cares!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Oswego home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Oswego.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Oswego sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
