“Julia did a fantastic job! She got some sweet pictures of our kittens and was very responsive with minor requests. We were thankful she was able to help. We would definitely book her again.”

About: Growing up my family had dogs in our home as long as I can remember. They have been a sweet addition to our family and a constant in my life. I regularly helped with feeding, grooming, cleaning, and have been a significant part of our dogs' play, providing an environment where each one can thrive. Friends regularly ask me to spend time with their animals (up to 3 weeks) while away both in my home and in their homes. I have also administered medications! I work full time Monday through Thursday, but am highly available Thursday late afternoon through Sunday evenings. I am also typically available Monday events as well! I live on a couple acres in the pine trees, centralized in town, where I have access to trails for walking as well as the bike trail. In my home, I am able to crate your dog or have an enclosed space where they can stretch and move around. I am the only one living in my space, so it is a quiet and restful environment.

About: I have been very involved in a humane society. I’ve worked with cats and dogs of all sizes, breeds, backgrounds, temperaments, and health issues! I currently have two cats but grew up with a dog and help watch my sister’s puppy many times. I’ve helped babysit many cats and dogs over the course of my life. I’m respect other's belongings, property, and (of course) pets. I have no issues going to a your home to take care of your beloved pets, take them on walks, administer medication, going vet or grooming appointments, or just spending time with them. I do not work on Thursdays or weekends. Those days would be very flexible time wise. I can be a morning person and a night owl. Since I have worked with so many animals, I understand that some pets take time to warm up. While many are outgoing and friendly, some need more time to smell you and hear your voice. Reading body language is important and being aware when an animal might be stressed is essential. My cats like attention on their terms, and that’s okay. They come to me when they want the attention. I’m happy to work with pets at whatever pace makes them most comfortable.

About: I grew up caring for animals of all kinds from horses, to dogs and cats. I have always had pets in my life and have a passion for giving them the love, attention, and care they deserve. If you have a high energy dog I’ve been active and athletic my whole life and would love to get your buddy out for lots of walks and play time. If your animal is more of a cuddler I am happy to take the time to give them the attention they need when you are not able to. I very flexible with my schedule. I am usually able to work with you to accommodate you and your pet’s needs both during the week and weekends. I have a large home with a large yard located in a quiet rural area. There is also a park nearby so there is lots of opportunity to be active. I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to give your pups the love and attention they need. I work at home so I am here most of the time to attend to your pups every need. I have a very large house with lots of room to roam. My yard is not fenced, but I have a huge park across the street from me with a Tennis Court that is enclosed so your pup can run free and exercise. Pups stay on their leash at all times unless we are in the tennis court. My home is puppy proofed…that is their is no chemicals or anything in reach that could be harmful. That is all kept on high shelves.

About: My lifelong passion for animals began as a child with my family's cat and guinea pigs. When I was 10, I took on the responsibility of caring for my Shiba Inu, Mia. I dedicated myself to her training, teaching her numerous commands like "sit" and "stay," and I gained invaluable experience with a breed known for its temperament. I am experienced in administering oral medications and tick/lice preventatives. As a teenager, I adopted a cat and continued to build my experience by volunteering at a local humane society and caring for a neighbor's dog. Friends and family have also relied on me for house and cat sitting. I am pursuing my Master's degree in education, which gives me a very flexible and adaptable schedule. Pet care on Rover is one of my priorities, so I have plenty of availability for your pet. I am available for overnight sits, walks, and drop-in visits on weekdays and weekends, and I carefully manage my schedule to ensure I have quality time for every booking. I split my time between Alexandria and the Twin Cities, and my calendar is always kept up to date for my availability in each location. I provide pet care in your home and not in my own, as I do not offer boarding or day care services. This allows your pet to stay in their familiar, safe environment, which I believe is best for their comfort. I am very organized and reliable, and I will strictly follow all of your instructions regarding feeding, medicine, and routines. You can trust that I will treat your home with the utmost respect and provide constant communication, including photo updates, to ensure your peace of mind while you are away.
