Beyond grateful that Megan was able watch my dog for the whole day, especially with late notice. She was so welcoming and reassuring since my dog acted like a shy kid on his first day of school. She took excellent care of Nugget. I picked him up happy and tired.

Kena sends updates throughout the day with pictures which is so nice. She was very flexible keeping him for a bit longer than I had planned and my dog basically ran into her arms each morning so I know he had a great time.

Holly has been an amazing sitter for our Goldendoodle. Our dog tends to be high-strung but she is totally relaxed with Holly and enjoys going on walks. It didn't take our dog long to feel comfortable with Holly. We are really happy with her service.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, so being around them has always felt natural to me. I recently graduated from Chico state and currently have two dogs of my own a 6 year old toy poodle and a 5 months old border collie mix. As a pet owner myself, I know how hard it can be to leave your dog or cat with someone else. That’s why I do my best to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. Whether your pet loves to play, go for walks, or just relax and get cuddles, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention and care. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family, and I’ll always keep you updated so you can have peace of mind while you’re away! I currently work part time at Bath & Body Works and usually only have 2–3 shifts a week, so my schedule is very flexible. When I’m not working, I’m home spending time with my own dogs. This allows me to be available for different drop-off and pick-up times and gives me plenty of time to provide walks, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of love and attention. I treat every pet like they’re one of my own. My home is a safe, loving environment where pets get lots of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and cuddles. I understand that every pet is different, so I’ll do my best to follow their normal routine and help them feel right at home.

About: I was born and raised surrounded by animals, and I’ve been caring for dogs of every kind for as long as I can remember. Family and friends have always relied on me to walk, feed, train, and love their dogs like my own. My family and I are also German Shepherd breeders, so dogs are truly part of our everyday life. Because we both work from home, your pup will never be left without attention and care. We often take our dogs to the park and even on store outings for training and socialization, so your fur baby will have plenty of stimulation and fun. Our Home & Care 🐾 Fenced backyard with over 1.3 acres to play safely 🐾 Three friendly German Shepherds for company and socialization 🐾 Kennels and crates available in different sizes if needed/requested 🐾 Required up-to-date vaccinations for the safety and health of all dogs Why Book With Us? • Full-time presence—we’re home and attentive throughout the day • Active lifestyle—walks, playtime, and stimulation included • Daily photo & video updates for peace of mind • Flexible to each dog’s personality, needs, and routines Your pup will be welcomed into our family and cared for as if they were our own. ❤️ Because we work from home, caring for pets is part of our everyday life. Your dog (or cat) will never be left alone for long periods—we’re able to give them attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. Walks, feeding, and potty breaks naturally fit into our routine, and we often go to the park or on short outings for enrichment and socialization. With our own dogs, we’re used to a structured schedule, so adding your pet into that rhythm is easy and natural. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. At our home, we provide a secure fenced yard for play, supervised outdoor time, and crate options of various sizes if needed or requested. All pets in our care must be up-to-date on vaccinations to ensure a healthy environment for everyone. I closely supervise interactions between dogs and make sure play is safe and appropriate. Our three German Shepherds are well-trained and friendly, offering companionship and socialization opportunities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your space, follow your instructions carefully, and maintain your pet’s usual routine to reduce stress. Whether in my home or yours, I treat every pet as if they were my own—with patience, structure, and lots of love. 🐾

Lynn was amazing! She went way above and beyond my expectation. I'm extremely protective of my pups and was worried about leaving them, but once I met Lynn and saw how she was with my little guys and with her own "babies", and how secure her yard was, I felt completely at ease and comfortable leaving them in her care. I didn't bring their food with me because we weren't leaving them overnight and they won't eat when we're not there. She made them chicken! which of course they ate right up. This woman LOVES dogs. I will definitely use her again and would highly recommend her.

Forrest does such a lovely job taking care of our doggy, Lola. Forest gives Lola. Lots of attention takes her on walks. Today it was raining, they still took a nice walk in the park. I have no idea how Forrest got Lola to walk in the rain(?) normally Lola won’t step out on the front porch, if she sees rain :)

About: While your pet is in my care we usually do one big walk or two small walks. We have a fully fenced back yard for dogs to play and use restrooms. Neighborhood is safe for walking pets and talking potty breaks. There is a park near by to enjoy with the dogs as well. Have experience administering oral medication if that is needed. I have experience working with dogs with disabilities. Please provide me with any information that will makes your pets stay comfortable with me. I am home full-time attending to my pets and ready to attend yours. My schedule is flexible which makes me available to help your furry family member. The community we live in is safe and clean. I have my backyard fully fenced off for a quick and easy potty break. The backyard is also a safe place for the pets to play safely. We have a large park that is close to our home to walk the pets and play with them. In my supervision while we are at the park dogs will be on long lead, not off leash. Let me know what makes you feel the most comfortable for you and your pet.

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life. I have taken care of so many different animals, from dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, farm animals, and wildlife. I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility and have a year of experience caring for multiple different types of dog breeds, cats and birds. I also grew up raising and showing sheep in 4H and FFA for about 9 years, so taking care of animals has always been something that I enjoy doing. I am currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time to play and care for your fur babies! Just send me a message and we can discuss further details. I am able to do drop in visits and on some days, daycare in my clients homes. I can play with your pups, spend some cuddle time with them, give baths, go on walks, clean crates, kennels and any accidents if they happen to have any. I am a trustworthy, compassionate, reliable and responsible person especially when it comes to animals, so you can count on me to keep your fur babies safe while you’re away.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Oroville commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 130 sitters in Oroville, 92% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
