About: Hey, there! My name is Elena:) Originally, I’m from a small town in Missouri. I’m currently staying in Carbondale, IL to continue my education. I have worked in the animal field for over 3 years now. I knew from very early on in my childhood that I wanted to help people. Helping is my passion. And by caring for these furry critters-even the ones without fur-I can also help you guys! Working as a veterinary technician and dog trainer has taught me how to care for breeds of all different sizes, ages and temperaments. To me, taking care of animals is a privilege and a joy. So, if you ever need someone to care and love your pet while you’re away, I’m your girl!:) I work a full time job from Mondays to Fridays. So, I’m available anytime after 5:00pm during the week and available all day on the weekends. Currently, I cannot pet sit your pet from my home. Simply because my apartment doesn’t allow dogs:’) I have one cat named KitKat. She greets me in the morning with soft meows-breakfast time. And I greet her by helping her get a big stretch! She loves morning and evening stretches. Although she is quite the independent cat, I still have toys, scratching posts and a cat tree to keep her entertained. My cat means the world to me. About: I’ve taken care of animals for a long time. I first started with my mom at a young age. She taught me how to take care of animals and how to respect them. As I got older I was often asked by friends and family to watch over their furry loved ones. This included feeding, walking, and give them lots of TLC. With clear instructions I have also given pets the medicine that they needed at the time. I love both dogs and cats and have experience caring for both. Right now, I am the proud dog mom of an 8 year old Lab-Akita mix. About: I have had dogs for most of my life and always loved all animals. I work remotely so I am almost always home with my own pets. I work from home, so rather than keeping a strict schedule, I usually follow my dogs’ lead. They generally let me know when they need to go outside/come inside, eat, play, etc. We do at least two feedings a day. Every animal I’ve ever had has had their own unique personality with unique needs. Right now I have big, friendly dogs, but before them I had a grumpy old Yorkie with epilepsy/special needs. I will tailor my care to whatever will be best for your pet(s).
