About: I have loved animals since childhood when I had hamsters and a rabbit. When I started college, I adopted 2 cats. After getting married, we started to foster cats and dogs and we adopted 2 dogs. I started to pet sit professionally in 2022. Animals are so special, healing in the best way, and the most loyal pals you could ever hope for. I enjoy getting to know each of their unique personalities. I work part-time from my laptop. Currently I have a flexible schedule for pet care, with wide open availability on the weekends. I can work around the routines of your pets. I will check in and understand any habits in place and do my best to adhere to them, i.e. feeding times, potty breaks, playtime, etc. I will take notes to ensure your pet can feel comforted as much as possible by their preferences while their caregivers are away.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up caring for dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, horses and turtles. I have pet/house sit since I was 14. I have experience with all ages and needs. Whether you have a high energy pet that requires long walks and a lot of playing, or a pet that just needs lots of company, I am happy to meet their needs. I love all animals and want to ensure they are having the best days in my care. Pet Care is my full time job. Every pet has different needs and I adjust my schedule to meet the needs of the pets in my care. I will follow any instructions you leave for care. I know it is hard to leave your fur baby and will try and keep the care as consistent as if you were there. I will let dogs out frequently and provide walks. I am happy to send pictures and updates. If permitted, I am happy to bring your fur babies with me to the beach, on hikes or just cruise. If your dog needs socializing work, I will take them to dog parks.

“Carissa was such an enormous help. She gave our Toby lots of love, long walks and playtime in the yard. She was flexible schedule-wise and very responsive when we reached out. And she always sent fabulous pics of Toby on their walks. Thanks, Carissa!”

About: Had a family dog at my dad growing up. Always had cats around. Had a some pet rats and fish throughout the years. Been learning a lot in the months now that I’ve rescued my dog. Would combine caring for your dog with my own. Love going on walks and hike along with lounging around. Following golden rule, treat others and pets we want to be treated. And the Hawaiian golden rule, leave a place better than how you found it. With love and respect.

About: I am a very caring and loving person especially when it comes to animals. I am also very attentive to details and am willing to meet up and communicate any special needs before your booking and/or during my visit. I’m working remotely most of the times and can accommodate your schedule with short notice. I am open for booking in the mornings and late afternoon, early night visits. I have two friendly golden retrievers and a small fenced backyard. There are lots of grassy areas in my neighborhood so I can take walks easily. There is a dog park nearby so I can take your pup for additional exercise when needed.

About: Animals have been my passion and companions for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family shared our home with dogs, cats, and parrots, teaching me the value of love, responsibility, and compassion. For the past 12 years, I've had the privilege of professionally house and pet sitting, caring for a wide range of animals, from loyal dogs and cats to fish, many chickens, and even mules. I also have 2 cats of my own. With experience caring for animals of all ages, including seniors, I'm confident in my ability to provide gentle, patient, and loving care. When entrusted with your pets, you can rest assured that I'll give them the same love, attention, and dedication that I give to my own. I made a few tweaks to enhance your profile: - Added more descriptive language to help potential clients visualize your experience and care. - Emphasized your passion for animals and your ability to provide loving care. - Highlighted your experience with various animals and ages. - Ended with a reassuring message, emphasizing your commitment to caring for pets as if they were your own. Feel free to adjust or modify it to fit your style! I am a home caregiver part time, however my schedule is flexible which should allow me to fit you in. I'll manage my time and adjust to your pet's routines, and I follow instructions in detail and depth, ensuring your babies will be happy and comfortable in my care. I strive to be thorough in following any instructions left for care, and I will make sure your dogs are taken out frequently for potty breaks and walks as needed. I enjoy taking dogs out for walks or even hikes, if they require additional exercise and time outside, on island. I'm happy to provide photos for you as well as updates to let you know how things are going. If there is anything else you may need, I encourage you to reach out or feel free to ask any questions you have!

Having new friends come and stay would be a joyful experience for all of us! Myself and my Husband both work from home, so we have lots of time to watch after your Dog and will never be left alone. For overnight visits, we are glad to send you pictures and updates Daily. We also offer drop offs and pick ups. Our Dogs sleep inside on a Dog bed or in our Bed. We do not chain up Dogs and prefer not to watch dogs that need to be chained up. We allow our Pup on the couch, but we are glad to follow all your house rules. If you have any questions, just ask! We'd love to do a meet & greet so we can make sure we're a right fit for you. Keaau, Kurtistown, and Pahoa are all 10 minutes from us. My husband and I work from home so we will have plenty of time to play with your pup, take walks, and potty breaks etc. We have a partially fenced in front yard, as well as a gate on our lanai so your pup can enjoy the nice weather safely. Anytime your pup is with us it will never be alone and will always be on leash when we go for walks, potty breaks etc. Our pups will also be here to keep yours company and happy. I work from home so I have a lot of flexibility when I am watching your pup. Potty break, walks, play time, out of the house adventures etc. I have raised a lot of pups, I am more than happy to follow certain rules/routines or any restrictions you may have for your pet regardless if they are in my home or at their own.

About: For the last 2 years I’ve owned and operated a dog daycare and boarding business from my home. I have a fully fenced acre that is mostly grass (not lava) for dogs to come learn, play, and be safe! I also do drop-in visits, and sometimes offer house sitting, at your house for animals that need to stay home. I also have a produce farm here at my property so I am usually outside. Dogs are welcome to come inside and outside as they please. I practice positive reinforcement training at all times. I am interacting with the animals. They will not be left alone or be lonely while they are here. Your dog will go home tired, socialized, and happy! I do not have kennels. If a dog uses a crate at home, I will ask that you bring their “house” with them. This ensures that they have a safe and familiar place to be while they are here. If they do not have a kennel, it’s important that you bring their bed, so they have their own smells and place to rest while at my place. I have 2 resident dogs and a cat who love to have friends over! Cat can be separated if needed. I prefer to have potty trained and well behaved dogs at my house. I can not accept aggressive dogs as I have my own animals here to keep safe. Please reach out with any questions! I look forward to meeting you soon. I typically schedule my own day around dog needs. I am up early and can be available on weekends and evenings. I will accommodate your schedule as needed. Occasional holiday availability. I have a fully fenced yard that is 80% grass and 2 friendly dog fur babies and 1 cat at home. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I have an air conditioned room that dogs can go into and be alone if they need some down time. I often play calming music and keep healthy treats on hand (I will have an allergy discussion with every booking!)

About: Aloha- Here, at our home, we have 3 dogs (listed in my profile). Also, a retired Lana'i School teacher (a regular pro-dog walker too!); and now 4 outdoor cats that have adopted us. They come and go as they please 🤷 I have decades caring for fur babies, both dogs & cats. Aside from my own babies, I was previously employed as a care provider at the Lana'i Animal Rescue Center on the island of Lana'i (previously L.A.R.C., now Lana'i Cat Sanctuary). Additionally, on Lana'i, I did in-home sitting for cats, dogs, and was one of only a handful of foster dog moms on the island. This was also in cooperation with L.A.R.C. In the 90s I was a grooming assistant, so I don't mind giving baths, if that is something you desire for your dog. We are also familiar with giving meds over here, and certainly don't mind working with specialized diets, ages & needs. As a mom, I know these are our kids with individual personalities and needs. I'm here to meet those needs with love, cuddles & kindness (and Play!). For Home Sitting & Boarding: Right now my hours are open, if that changes, I will immediately update. When I am hired to care for an animal, I do just that, so my schedule will revolve around the animal in my care. 1st priority always. I encourage you to make a list of things you might want me to know about your baby. I keep a comfortable & reliable routine so visiting dogs know what to expect and that they're safe. Walks can be a nice bonding activity: Most important is one-on-one attention & playtime. My own dogs are kept separate; in an entirely separate part of the house. My doggie guests have their own large, private room with its own entrance and an adjacent outdoor covered deck/lanai for lounging in the sun & watching neighborhood activities. Please feel free to ask me any questions, or make any special requests. Aloha & Mahalo. -Blair (& Carol) Note: I can do drop ins for cats, but not boardings. Sorry!

About: I’ve taken care of my own animals and others since a young age. I’ve pet sat and walked many different dogs. I love all animals overall. I currently am attending college and want a part time job walking dogs. While i’m not in class or doing homework, I have no reason not to spend time with them! However, at the dorm, I don’t have much space to take care of animals outside of walking them.

Xuan X.
“Really happy with the pet drop-in visit! The sitter was great with my pet's food, even adding their favorite freeze-dried chicken. Loved how she cleaned the litter box thoroughly and even vacuumed around it. Super thankful for her attention to detail and care!”

Lipine M.
“Lipine is a wonderful caretaker. We've entrusted her care for our elderly dog who is also a tripod (missing his front right leg) and more recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. She has watched him overnight many times with heavy medication and supplement schedules to follow and she's never let us down. She is extremely patient with Loki. He requires a lot of special attention and assistance with walking and stairs. She is able to lift him up if needed and is understanding when he needs the extra help. Because of his prostate cancer he has to go out more frequently and she is always paying attention to Loki's que's. Loki is super comfortable and at ease around Lipine which is always our priority. She would be a wonderful pet sitter for anyone's fur baby.”

Alyssa H.
“To Rover team, We highly recommend Alyssa as a dog sitter. She watched our dogs for over 10 years. Aly is very reliable, intelligent, trustworthy, and loves dogs. She follows instructions and communicates well. She loves and cares for Meeka, like her own child. We had a few dig sitters. Aly is simply outstanding. We now only trust Aly to watch our dog. Please contact us if you have any”

Catherine S.
“Catherine is one of the most responsible people that I know. She and I have helped take care after each other's pets when we have been out of town. I would trust Catherine with my animals, without a doubt, and know that my babies were probably being taken care of better than if I were at home myself. She has had experience with animal care and child care as well. She definitely has that nurturing behavior within her, and wants all living things to thrive in life. If you are needing someone to be at home with or just to come check on your fur children, this is who you should call!”

Shelby & Jesse K.
“Shelby has dog sat before for me on many occasions and I would highly recommended her to anyone! She loves each pet like it’s her own and makes sure every need is taken care of. My go to person when I need a dog sitter!”

Rhea P.

“Rhea was great with our two big dogs. She took them to the beach and wore them out. We will definitely book her again. Thank you!”

Rachel E.
“Rachel is the perfect companion for your dogs! She has years of experience + knowledge with multiple animal species and has a keen affinity to care for our furry friends. Her exuberant personality brings out wagging tails for even the grumpiest dogs! She is highly attentive to the needs of my pets...and can somehow give quality care while working with multiple dogs. My dogs are always more excited to see her than they have ever been with me! I work all day and couldn't make it without her services. I know that each time my pets are with Rachel, that they will be safe, loved, cared for, and spoiled with belly rubs. Her grassy yard is fully fenced and offers an entire acre of room for your pups to stretch their legs. She has safely taken my dogs on multiple walks, car rides, and treated them like they were their own! I highly recommend utilizing Rachel's services.”

Béla B.Star Sitter
“I have known Bela almost 20 years and know her as an animal lover above all else. She has provided my cats with tender loving care more than once when I had to go away for business. She has experience with both cats and dogs and probably other species that I am unaware of. She will not only feed, water, and clean up after them, but provide them with love and a sense of security.”
