Steph took my Shadow on a walk and fed her dinner on a couple of days when my husband and I both had to work long hours. She arrived when I asked and did exactly what she was supposed to do. Shadow was super happy to meet her on their meet and greet and Steph had a super calm and sweet energy that any animal will be drawn to. Very pleased with her service and will definitely be a repeat customer.

About: I grew up with a dog and have watched many different types of dogs since I was a teenager. I routinely walk and feed my roommates dogs when they are at work. Walking dogs is a great way for me to get daily exercise too. I’m only working part time so I am available throughout the week and have a very flexible schedule right now. Especially in the afternoon and at night There is a fenced in backyard the dog can play in. There are also two other friendly dogs in the downstairs unit who love to play. The street i live on is a great dog walking street with a sidewalk.

Brooklen and Lani took the best care of Harlee. She also was able to administer some meds on her rash, fed and walked her. Brooklen was excellent in communicating with me and sending pictures. Her help is so appreciated and we would LOVE to have her again! Thank you so much, ladies!

About: I have been around lots of dogs and cats over the years! I like to have fun with them and prioritize treating them with love because they are innately such loving beings. I've pet sat and lived with both young and older animals (cats and dogs), so I understand that each has their own personality and way about them. I know how to respect their space while also encouraging connection, health, and balance. I love taking dogs on walks and to the beach. I enjoy snuggling with cats. I'd be happy to care for your pets when you need the help and will be sure to show them plenty of love! I am currently living between Maui, HI and South Carolina. My routine is currently centered around daily movement, nutrition, and time in nature as I have become very passionate about being healthy and avoiding burnout. I enjoy the variety of spending time with different animals and supporting pet owners as a part of my weekly/monthly routine and feel it’s a healthy, joyful way for me to connect with my community. I am very sensitive and intuitive so I'm good at helping pets feel comfortable and safe in my presence. I'm attentive and present so will be sure to give your pets what they need, when they need it whether that's food, water, play time, snuggles, or a walk outside. I love keeping my space clean and organized so will prioritize keeping your home this way while I'm there providing service.

About: I've been surrounded by animals all of my life, with a wild assortment of pets including dogs, cats, horses, goats, pigeons, an African Grey, hamsters, rats, chickens, and even an iguana! I grew up in the Midwest with parents who were talented breeders and trainers of German Shorthaired Pointers and Vizslas, as well as master gardeners. In my adult life I've lived with dogs, cats, and chickens, though currently have no pets of my own as I travel too much to provide consistent care. I am seeking longer in-home sits (1+ weeks) and am available to chat ahead of booking. I'm a semi-retired professional, and very much appreciating the flexibility therein! I am mainly interested in longer-term, in-home sits, and offer discounts depending on length of stay, number/ages/types of animals, and if use of car is included. The care I provide varies depending on the needs your animals! The flexibility of my schedule allows me to easily adapt to yours, making transition into caring for your pets as seamless as possible.

About: I’m a country, animal loving young girl. I’ve spent years caring for farms and ranches or just housesitting with many dogs, cats and much more. I just enjoy soaking up extra time with the critters. I’ve spent time training two of my own dogs and also several others. Experience fostering both cats, kittens and puppies is also something I can offer. It’s so rewarding to watch the dogs learn and grow with training and time. I can take your dog on walks and play with them or just chill with your cat. I currently work 3 days a week on a boat and 1 day as a bartender. Feel free to message me for scheduling and availability. If your pet is ok with me being gone on the boat 12 hrs on a couple days I’m happy to housesit for a length of time. My partner can often times let your pet out to potty on my long work days. Usually just Wednesdays are 12 hr shifts. I like to keep the pets routines as close to what they are use to as possible. Playing with, exercising, feeding and even doing some training are all things I like to incorporate in my daily schedule.

About: My name is Emiko, I am based in Kaimuki area, just moved here from Maui but originally from CA. I have a spaniel mix pup named Zephyr, and grew up with both dogs and cats my whole life. I love animals and the healing energies they bring in their personalities and just love how funny they are. Getting a dog has been one of the most healing things in my life, he is literally my best friend, baby and side kick and I understand finding someone who will take the upmost care for your pet is a crucial decision. Especially if they come with baggage or little quirks (Zephyr is a rescue) or they need extra care like medication, etc. I will take care of your pets like they’re my own—feeding, walking, playing, following any other additional instructions and giving them lots of love to feel safe and happy 🤍 *If looking to board, please keep in mind I have my own dog here at home and can only board dogs that are friendly with other dogs, I won’t be able to board big dogs as I have a small space as well I work from home with flexible hours and make my own schedule so I can cater to all your needs for your pet and their schedule Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow instructions closely, keep a clean and calm environment, and make sure your pet feels secure and loved at all times. I’m attentive to their body language and needs, and I never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. Whether we’re out on a walk or relaxing at home, I’ll treat your pet like family—with patience, care, and lots of affection. You can trust that they’re in safe, reliable hands with me.

About: I’ve had dogs and other animals in my life since I was a kid. I’ve taken care of and helped raise dogs from the puppy stages to adulthood. I am the type of dog lover who enjoys bringing the pup(s) with me to exercise. But I also love to just chill and love on them! In my home, the pet(s) are allowed inside. We have a fenced-in yard. They cannot sleep on the furniture, including the room/bed. I will respect any wishes you have for your pet, whether that be in my home or yours. I work from home -- so, I can accommodate practically any schedule of care. I am pretty flexible because 90% of my work is done online. I treat your animals and your home as if they were my own, with love, care, and respect. If at any time I feel like I have a question, I won’t hesitate to ask, because the well-being of your animal and home are important.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
