About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my home for most of my life and have decades of hands-on experience caring for pets. I’m especially comfortable with large and giant-breed dogs and understand the extra attention, space and patience they can require. I currently have Great Danes of my own, so big dogs are absolutely welcome here! I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, medications, senior dogs and the everyday care that comes with making a pet feel safe and comfortable. I’ll treat your pet like one of my own while they’re staying with me. My work schedule rotates, which gives me several days off at a time and plenty of time at home with the dogs. I keep my Rover availability updated so I only accept bookings when I know I can give your pet the time and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I have years of experience caring for dogs and cats and am especially comfortable with large and giant breeds. From milking cows to raising chickens and pigs, and always having a dog and numerous cats around, animals were at the heart of my daily routine. Those early experiences taught me responsibility, consistency, and the importance of attentive, compassionate care. Today, my husband and I run a small hobby farm of our own, where we care for horses, chickens, our beloved dog Luna, and many kitties. Animal care continues to be a central part of my life and is something I truly enjoy. I have also completed additional training and worked extensively with my own horses and dogs. Having been around animals my entire life, I have experience providing a wide range of care, including assisting with livestock deliveries (calves and swine), administering medications, and caring for animals with medical needs, including those associated with aging. I also frequently care for the pets and farm animals of friends and neighbors. I can't help but develop a special bond with each animal I care for. Working with animals is one of my deepest passions. I love to travel and explore the world whenever I can. Through my own experiences, I’ve learned how challenging it can be to find someone who is not only trustworthy, but also experienced and comfortable caring for both household pets and larger farm animals. Currently, I am home full-time and available 24/7 from June through August, which allows for a very flexible schedule. I return to my full-time position during the last week of August. At that time, my availability will vary, with weekends generally offering the most flexibility. From September through June, my regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. I am committed to working with pet owners to accommodate their needs as best as possible and will do my utmost to ensure your pets receive the care, attention, and consistency they deserve. My pets are part of my family, and I provide them with the highest level of care, love, and attention possible. Their well-being is one of my top priorities. When caring for someone else's pets, I treat them as if they were my own because I understand how much our animals mean to us. I also recognize how important we are to our pets and that being separated from their owners can sometimes be stressful for them. My goal is to provide the comfort, care, and attention they need while maintaining their normal routines as closely as possible.
