About: Welcome to the Lapdog Lounge!! I’ve cared for dogs my whole life, with many years dedicated to small breeds—especially Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. I understand their quirky, lovable personalities and the extra TLC they sometimes need to feel safe and at home. I genuinely enjoy helping petite pups feel secure, cherished, and comfortable—whether we’re snuggling on the couch or just keeping each other company. Because I focus on caring for small dogs in my home, I welcome small breeds of all kinds under 25 pounds. This helps ensure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and able to relax in a cozy, low-stress environment where little dogs can truly thrive. I take a limited number of guests so I can provide the best care - booking are first come, first served once confirmed. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home almost all the time, so your pet will never feel alone or forgotten. Pet care is part of my daily routine, and I love providing attention, structure, and affection—whether it’s feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or cozy companionship. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. From a secure setup to thoughtful routines, here’s what you can expect when your pup stays at the Lapdog Lounge: • 🏡 A fully fenced, secure backyard for safe (and supervised!) zoomies • 🚧 A baby-gated setup indoors so I always know who’s where—no sneaky escapes here! • 👀 Outdoor time is always chaperoned—nobody’s out there alone • 🐾 Dogs get let out every couple hours for potty breaks, fresh air, and a good stretch—and they can always ask to go out whenever they need to! • 🍽️ Mealtimes are separate to keep things calm and cozy—every pup eats in peace • 🚫 No human food—just the treats your pup is used to (plus I’ve got plenty on hand if you’re okay with sharing!) • 💤 A dedicated doggy sleep room where pups can snooze however they’re most comfy—bed, crate, or snuggled up with me and my crew • 🌙 Dogs are never left alone overnight—everyone gets tucked in safe and sound • ⏰ I’m happy to follow any special routines or schedules your pup needs to feel at home

“We are from a small town in Southeast Kansas, and traveled to the Springfield/Branson area for a mini family vacation. We have 3 full sized dogs and haven’t ever had to board them anywhere before. We found out about Rover from another individuals review on another platform. We reached out to Raquel Thursday morning & she quickly responded and we dropped off our fur babies an hour later! Sh was super friendly and you could tell she has a deep love for animals, which eased our worries tremendously! She sent us videos and updates without us even having to request them! We then had a change in plans and needed care for the entire weekend she was super accommodating! We were able to enjoy our trip without worry. She kept us updated all weekend with texts, photos, and videos. Our pups had the best time and were loved on just like we would of loved on them if there were home! “I can't possibly say enough what a miracle it was for us to find Debbie and Chelsey. We haven't had anyone to care for our baby Rosey when we need to go on errands or want to go on a date in about two years. After her first back injury, no one wanted to help with her. Then, last November, when she became paralyzed and required emergency surgery, I had a sinking feeling I would never find anyone who would want to watch her for the rest of her life. We just moved back to Springfield, and I decided to give Rover a try to see if there was anyone in the area who was willing and qualified and who I could really trust. Debbie and Chelsey's day care came up right away. Not only did I see they had received numerous rave reviews, but I also saw on her profile that she was willing to help with disabled and/or senior dogs. I almost wouldn't even let myself hope she might be interested in taking care of Rosey. I gave her a call, and she was super informative and well-versed as a former vet tech in Rosey's needs and the care she would require. I immediately got a very good feeling she was going to be the right fit for my little poodle-angel. :) Through correspondence, she answered all of my questions and proved to be kinder and kinder, willing to work out arrangements even if we book her overnight, even though Rosey has to be secured in order not to try to jump out of a bed at night. I was so astounded she would want to watch her, since she can't jump up on things and is very needy. Even falling down a few stairs or jumping off a couch could be devastating to her health, so I knew I didn't just need a five-star sitter. I needed a ten-star sitter!!!! And I found her dream day care providers in Debbie and Chelsey. Debbie sent me pictures throughout the day, and I was so utterly impressed with how kind she was about Rosey's special needs, including the fact she wears diapers. I can't express how touched I am that she would care about disabled dogs and love them. Chelsey was the same way. One of their daughters came home from school and loved on Rosey, too!!!!! When I picked her up, I could tell how happy she was right away. She was so content and had really enjoyed herself. I am super paranoid about taking a dog anywhere I can't supervise, since they can't talk and tell you what has happened. But I could see from the family dynamic, the numerous instances of them interacting with dogs, and especially their adoration for Rosey, that they would never hurt her, and would keep her safe and protected from jumping or falling. I literally gave up ever thinking anyone would be willing to watch Rosey, and I found someone who not only watched her, but did so with sincere compassion and excitement!!! Usually, people look at Rosey and see a dog who has a lot of problems. They think she's cute, but they don't want to become involved enough with her to help us out. Debbie & Chelsey clearly saw Rosey the way my husband and I do: as a fiery little sprite with tons of potential, spunk, and love to give to the world!!! I extend the most heartfelt thanks to Debbie & Chelsey for watching her, and I am rebooking in the future for her and her sister as well. There is almost nobody out there willing to help out with disabled pets, and to find a former vet tech who is watching dogs from her wonderful home is the best possible scenario!!! I cannot BELIEVE how blessed we were to find her!!!! No wonder she has so many rebooks and stays busy all the time; she is awesome!!!! If your dog isn't disabled, you can still read this and have the reassurance and peace of mind of how this day care treats even its most vulnerable and weak customers. The heart of this couple to take care of precious special-needs dogs speaks volumes about their inner spirit of kindness. “If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Wow! She was so incredible with both my dogs, especially my problem child little Biewer who thinks she runs everyone and everything. She did just as I suggested with the Biewer, just deal with her as though you've always known her (without hesitation). Even with her two dogs, neither of our dogs had any issues. If anyone is hesitant about leaving your babies with someone, rest assured she will protect and care for your babies as you would ypurself.bWe will definitely be back!”

About: I grew up with dogs and currently have three of my own. Other than taking care of my own, I have fed and walked dogs for other neighbors and friends. I believe dogs are a part of the family. I understand the level of love and care your pet needs. I currently work from home, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your dogs! I am available to let your pup have needed potty breaks, play time, and walking throughout the day. My house has its own dog room where your dogs can play, nap, and be in a safe space. If crates are preferred, we can crate them in this dog room, or if the weather is pleasant, we can crate them in the garage. We have .5 acre lot where the dogs can roam under my supervision. Me and my husband have three dogs who love to play and meet other dogs. We have plenty of toys and much love to give to your pup! I know updates are very important for your peace of mind, so I will keep in touch with you sending pictures and updates throughout their time with me.

About: My name is Andia Cain. I graduated this May from Kansas State University with a degree in Animal Science Production and Management! I have a black lab named Oscar that I’ve had for 8 years! I have worked in multiple vet clinics so I have a lot of medical experience when it comes to animals. I promise your pet will be safe with me! I’m currently working part time taking care of horses that I feed early in the morning and in the evening. The rest of the day is free for me to care for your pets! I absolutely love going for runs with my dog so if your dog loves exercise then we would be perfect! I am living in an apartment but I will still make sure your dogs needs are met!
