“Jill was amazing! We met before our booking so we could make sure my dog would be comfortable and fit in at their home. She sent me pupdates throughout the weekend and did so many adventures with our dog. I'm so happy to have found her!”

“Laura did a fantastic job with our 8-month-old Great Dane, who was anxious about being left alone. She provided plenty of updates and reassurance while taking excellent care of our pup!”

“Hope's stay with Erica and Thomas left her exhausted and happy. I have never seen my dog look sad when I picked her up from somewhere but she was definitely not ready to leave them. It was obvious through her demeanor and how the kids came running down from school just to give her a hug goodbye that she was well cared for during her stay. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great family to leave their dog with and will be leaving Hope with them again soon.”

“Serenity offered to meet our pups prior to their stay with her. She sent regular updates to let me know how they were doing. When we picked them up they seemed at ease. I will definitely reach out to her again when needed.”

“Karen was amazing with my dog Nico. She sent lots of updates and pictures and took such wonderful care of him. She treated Nico like her own dog, and it was clear from the beginning that he was in great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Ariel was amazing at taking care of my two big dogs. She knew what they needed and gave them opportunities for exercising and socializing. I feel confident leaving my fur babies with her! Thank you”

“Mary Jo was absolutely perfect. We have never left our pup with anyone before and we were a little nervous about it. Mary Jo put us at ease and took great care of our St Bernard. Communications were perfect, updates were timely and we will ABSOLUTELY be using Mary Jo again!”

“I had a family wedding to go to and wanted to find a safe and comfortable place to leave Winston, my young dorgi (half dachshund, half corgi) who had never been away from me since I was lucky enough to get him. Laura and her family turned out to be the perfect people and place. With a beautiful, safe home out in the country, a deck and fenced in yard where he could play, a open-plan house where he was visible at all times, Laura’s place was perfect. And the bonus: three little girls who adored him and lavished attention upon him, much to his delight. Laura, herself, was wonderful, caring, professional, delightful. She took him on long walks which he loved, texted me photos and updates on this progress during the stay, saw to his every need and even made some recommendations to me as to feeding bowls which might slow his eating down (he snarfs up his food in seconds!). I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home. But I think he knows he can go back and stay in this home away from home which he will definitely be doing the next time I need to go away without him. I can’t tell you the peace of mind that all this brought me, knowing that he was happy and being well-cared-for and loved.”

“Shannon was very considerate with our last minute request, which was appreciated. She did the meet and greet thoughtfully with her current pups, to give everyone the best chance of harmony. Bill came back from his stay with a wagging tail and was exhausted, both of which are a good sign. I wouldn't hesitate to use Shannon again!”

“Torie was amazing ! Can't thank her enough for watching my dog Jax for 10 days ! Torie provided excellent communication and plenty of photos from Jax's stay. Would highly recommend to all”

“Absolute peace of mind. Leaving older dogs can be stressful, but Elisa made it completely worry-free. She took incredible care of our two dogs and treated them like family. She paid close attention to their medications, supplements, meals and senior routine. We received daily updates and photos. We highly recommend Elisa and will absolutely book her again!”

“My Golden had a great stay with Connie and family. She sent photos, gave updates, and we met before at a dog park to make sure our dogs got along. He was well cared for, and even sent him home with a goodie bad with some treats. They are much more like professional caretakers and couldn’t recommend enough.”

“Julius and family took good care of our dog. Julius is super-responsive and sent several cute pictures of the visit. It looked like everyone got along well and were very active. Our dog came home exhausted, which is a good thing. We also needed to adjust the end time a little bit, and Julius was very accommodating of the last minute change.”
“Nina provided great care for our dog Max and was very communicative when there was an issue during his stay. She is very friendly and kind. She also has the cutest puppy in the world!!”
“Eva was great. She sent multiple pictures, walked her numerous times and Ellie was more comfortable with Eva that she was asking for b(Ellie) rubs :) I'd recommend Eva to all my friends who have dogs.”

“We have used Elizabeth a few times and are so grateful to have found a Rover (and her family) that are so great with our two dogs, Harry and Jules! Highly recommend Elizabeth if you’re looking for someone to take extra special care of your best buddies!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
