“Kristina was prompt and very informative on the status of my dog Joepa during a long weekend away. She followed instructions on feeding ,and walked my big BMDog . 5 star start from me!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Dace has provided our 3 fur babies! She helped us be letting our dogs our while we were working long hours, spent time playing with them, and made sure they had everything they needed. It was such a relief knowing our dogs weren’t alone all day without being able to have a mid-day playtime outside, and were genuinely cared about. The extra attention and playtime had made a huge difference for them being able to get some extra energy out!”

“Paula is a wonderful dogsitter! We were on vacation and found her on Rover. We contacted her last minute and she was very responsive. Our dog, Willow, has major separation anxiety and she immediately took to Paula and was comfortable with her. Paula is a natural with animals and obviously cares for their happiness and well-being. She was incredibly punctual and took Willow on many walks since it was such fine weather. We came home to a very happy and relaxed puppy! I recommend her completely!”

“Kayla is always the best sitter for my wonderful pups! She keeps me updated with pictures with every visit and took them on a walk when she noticed they had a lot of energy. She is the best!”

“Christian is very reliable. My dog was happy and well cared for. I was able to do what I needed to do out of town and not worry about Bode. I definitely will ask him to take care of Bode again in the future. 👍😁”

“Marie was amazing! We came to stay in North Myrtle Beach for a week long golf tournament from our home in New Jersey and I had arranged another sitter who, on the day I was supposed to meet her, informed me that she had a family emergency and had to cancel for the week. I was panicked to have to make last minute arrangements but Marie responded right away and saved us. She was great about being in communication and was so accommodating and flexible. I loved her daily reports. I was relieved knowing my two dogs were in very good hands. I’ll always be grateful that Marie was willing to step in last minute and provide such great care for Chaucer and Karma. I look forward to using her services again when we next visit. Thank you Marie!!”

About: Dogs only want to give and receive love. They are, perhaps, Gods greatest creation. I've worked at a Veterinarian office/Doggy Day Care nearly 5 years, caring for all ages and sizes. I volunteer at the Sheriffs Animal Control Shelter in Supply. I believe dogs enrich the lives of the people around them. I've always been able to bond with dogs. A mutual trust has always come easy. They're all beautiful, and people could learn a lot from them. They make me laugh every day. Dogs will always be safe and happy with me watching over them. I wiil provide great companionship and a soft, warm touch while you're away. I guarantee that you will feel completely secure and confident with my abilities to maintain a safe, fun experience for your dog. Having someone you trust to care for your dog is invaluable. I will be that person. We love to be at home. Being on a walk or hanging outside is what we enjoy. I work at a doggy daycare and can fit pet care at home easily. Daily care of our dog is walking, feeding, brushing hair and teeth, love and cuddles, and of course playing games. We love to take our pebbles with us everywhere. We will give the same care to every dog we meet.

About: I have been taking care of cats and dogs since about the age of 12. Growing up I would help look after my family, friends and neighbors animals when needed. I would help watch over the pets, feed them, take them on walks, and play with them for as long as needed! I am currently unemployed so I am available at any time of the day any day! I travel occasionally but that will always be communicated. The dog will always be my first priority! When taking dogs on walks I will make sure to always be aware of my surroundings. I will also make sure to not approach other animals to ensure the safety of both pets!
“I knew from the meet and greet that Lexi Ann would be a great fit for Mac. She was punctual, did everything I asked, and Mac was well-cared for while I was gone. I got pics to know my pup was doing well. I would recommend Lexi Ann and will certainly use her again when the need arises.”

About: I have been a pet parent to cats and dogs. Love to see all of their personalities. I have had rottweilers and pitbulls. I appreciate the love they have. I work full time but like to stay busy. I have a varied schedule and can help take care of your babies and show them love and affection when you cannot. I have a fenced yard for my pitbulls. They are both strong so we use chest harnesses when walking. They are fed 10 feet apart with zero food aggression.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
