Beau immediately liked Shannon when she came over for a meet and greet. I booked her for that following Saturday for a walk. I let her know Beau doesn't like to walk when it's hot out and so she came later in the day which was perfect. She sent me a few pictures of Beau while they were out on their walk. I will be booking Shannon again!

About: My family has always been passionate about giving animals the best possible life & experience that we possibly could. I have owned multiple dogs of different sizes and owned for multiple kinds of reptiles. I have experience carrying for special needs dogs as two of our dogs needed extensive medical care and medication administered multiple times of day as they near the end of their lives. I consider myself to be very calm and respectful of people’s fur babies and home. I’m currently working part time, just 10 hours a week and I spend most of my time when I’m not working doing schoolwork. I’m a local college student and avid pet lover. Im passionate and safety oriented. I’ll spend most of my time caring for your pets and reading my textbooks. I’m a quick learner and can follow any instructions you set for me. I have experience administering medications to dogs as my previous dog required multiple bouts of different medication throughout the day during the end of her life. I also have experience with reptiles and heating requirements and general feeding schedules.

About: Hi, I’m Ariyana! Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was raised around both dogs and cats, and caring for them isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely love. Every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and comfortable, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with pets of all ages. I enjoy working with puppies and kittens, helping reinforce good manners, basic obedience, potty training, leash skills, and positive routines. I understand that young pets require patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement, and I love being part of their learning process. I also have extensive experience caring for senior pets. I’m comfortable with slower walks, administering medications (if needed), accommodating mobility limitations, following special feeding schedules, and giving older pets the extra patience, gentleness, and attention they deserve. I know how important it is to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, I’ll tailor my care to their individual personality and needs. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of exercise, enrichment, affection, and one-on-one attention while you’re away. Communication is incredibly important to me. I’ll keep you updated with photos, videos, and messages so you always know how your furry family member is doing. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is safe, happy, and genuinely cared for. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I strive to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners by being dependable, attentive, and treating every animal like family. I can’t wait to meet you and your best friend! Although I work full-time, I make pet care a priority in my daily routine. I carefully manage my schedule to ensure every pet receives the time, attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. Whether it’s morning visits, evening care, overnight stays, or weekend availability, I’m committed to providing reliable, high-quality care. When your pet is with me, they’ll never feel like just another appointment—they’ll be treated like family. When caring for pets in your home, I know how important it is to keep their routine as normal as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, potty breaks, and any special care your pet needs. I also make sure your pet receives plenty of love, attention, and companionship while you’re away. I’ll respect your home as if it were my own by keeping everything clean, secure, and tidy. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. My goal is to provide dependable, stress-free care while making your pet feel comfortable in the place they know best.

About: I grew up on a farm, so animals have always been part of my world—feeding chickens before breakfast, brushing horses after school, and getting covered in dog hair in between! I’ve looked after everything from bouncy puppies to mellow senior dogs, and I’ve always had an easy, natural connection with animals. They seem to sense that I’m one of the good ones. I’m great at picking up on their vibes—whether they’re in the mood to zoom around or just want some chill cuddle time. Taking care of animals is second nature to me, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite things to do. I live a flexible lifestyle and am fully available to care for your pets. Since I’m not tied to a traditional job or schedule, I can offer your fur babies lots of time, attention, and consistency. Whether it’s daily walks, extended stays, or last-minute needs, I’m here to help and happy to adapt to your routine. I prioritize creating a safe, nurturing environment wherever I’m staying. I care for pets in their own familiar space, which helps them feel secure and relaxed. I’m attentive to routines, respectful of your home, and can adapt to any special needs your pet may have—whether that means crating, administering medication, or extra cuddle time.

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
