Pet Sitting in Oakland

About: Started caring for pets since I was 10. Mostly dogs and cats along with some awesome rabbits. Neighbors, friends and family relied on me to walk, feed, play, administer medicine, clean liter boxes and give good lovin' to their beloved pets ! Lots of experience staying with pets in their home (sometimes for several weeks at a time) or coming to their home several times days for care. Realized that I was born with a natural rapport with animals. Grateful for this ability and nurtured these skills all my life. I'm currently applying for full-time work, so I'll have plenty of time (flexible hours) to love-up on your dearest dogs with walks, play and treats. Of course, belly rubs are included! Haven't had my own pet in awhile, but lived with housemates who have wonderful animal spirits (dogs, cats and bunnies) to brighten their lives and mine. When I've lived with pets, always check they have plenty of clean water and food and, depending on how they are housed, make sure they are safe in their crates or curled up in their favorite spots before I leave. Always make sure that I know where list of emergency contacts and vet info is located.

About: With over 18 years of dedicated experience in pet care, I provide reliable and compassionate overnight supervision for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small caged pets. My background encompasses everything from routine feeding and medication administration to recognizing and responding to changes in pet behavior, ensuring your companions feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for in your absence I am currently working a seasonal job part-time so I will have plenty of time to fill taking care of your pets. This will be ending at the end of October. I have a tie out off of the front of my house as well I have a large crate and a room specifically set aside for the dogs. I have two dogs myself that are very friendly and get along with all other pets.

About: I was a professional pet photographer for many years, and I have worked at a luxury pet resort. I started accepting Rover bookings in June of 2025. I will be with your dogs during the day as well as overnight, but I will need to be able to leave during the day to meet ongoing commitments. I will travel out of my area (Deep Creek, Alpine Lake) for an additional fee. I will stay with your pets in your home, where they are most comfortable. If they are used to cuddling on the couch with you while you watch television, I will do that. If they are used to being outside a lot, I will take them out (weather permitting of course).

About: Animals have been a constant in my life and career for over a decade. I spent 5 years working in veterinary medicine, starting as a kennel attendant in a boarding facility and working my way up to a veterinary receptionist while continuing hands-on care with boarded pets. That experience gave me a strong foundation in animal health, behavior, and daily care routines. While still in vet med, and continuing after, I ran my own pet sitting and dog walking business for nearly 6 years. I take short rest breaks throughout the day, very much like your pets do lol, which allows me to stay energized while still being present and attentive during visits. I’m used to structuring my time carefully, and I prioritize reliability and routine so your pets feel secure and cared for. Whether it’s early morning drop-ins, mid-day visits, evening walks, or overnight care on my off days, I build my schedule around providing consistent, dependable care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and household preferences exactly as outlined. My goal is to maintain consistency so your pet feels secure while you’re away. I provide plenty of enrichment, affection, and supervision tailored to each animal’s personality, whether that’s high-energy playtime, structured walks, or calm companionship for more anxious or senior pets. I’m experienced with administering medications, monitoring for health or behavioral changes, and handling special needs with confidence and care. I also treat your home with respect. I keep things clean, secure, and organized, provide regular updates with photos, and communicate clearly so you always know how your pet is doing.
