About: Hi, I’m Brian! I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had dogs and cats around the house, and it’s a tradition I’ve proudly continued into adulthood. Sadly, both of my beloved pugs passed away over the last few years. Right now, it's just me and my cat, Vader, so I would absolutely love to welcome a canine (or another feline) presence back into my home! I work at WSU and live a quiet, peaceful life here in Colfax. Because my home is a kid-free environment and I spend a lot of my time here, your pet will get plenty of focused attention, companionship, and love. I understand how hard it is to leave your pets, so I am committed to treating yours like family - providing a safe, comfortable, and fun home away from home. I’d love to chat and see if I’m the perfect fit for your pet! I work at WSU so it's a short commute each day, allowing me to spend more time at home. My weekday evenings are pretty quiet. I sometimes go out on the weekends but would be quite happy staying home if there is pet-sitting to do. I have a large fenced yard. I have a large linoleum dining and kitchen area that can easily be blocked off where messes are easy to clean up. I'm totally fine sharing my bed and furniture with a pet. It's a quiet, kid-free house well suited for even the most nervous dogs.

About: I've had animals all my life. I'm here to relieve the stress of juggling your job, travel and the love for your companion!🐯🦁 I also have farm animal experience. I am semi empty nester looking for a little more on my "to do" list. I work but can make my own schedule for drop ins or house sitting I'm older then most Rover sitters. About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 10. I have cared for a blind senior cat as well as a cat with hip problems, which required patience, close monitoring, and adapting the environment to keep them safe and comfortable. I currently help care for my friend’s senior dog, who also has hip and dental issues, so I’m familiar with administering gentle support, maintaining comfort, and being attentive to mobility limitations and pain cues. In addition, I have experience caring for younger animals, including kittens and puppies around 12 weeks old. This has given me practice with high-energy care, feeding routines, supervision, and basic early-life behavior management. Overall, I’m comfortable working with both senior pets and young animals, and I adjust my care style based on each pet’s specific health, energy level, and personality needs. Pet care fits into my routine pretty easily because I currently have a part-time job with a very variable schedule. Since my shifts change from week to week, I’m generally flexible and available most days with some notice. This flexibility allows me to adjust around pet care responsibilities like feeding, walks, check-ins, or overnight stays when needed. I’m also used to planning my time in a way that ensures animals are consistently cared for, even on busier days, so I can reliably fit pet care into my weekly schedule. In my home, I would make sure any pet is cared for in a safe, comfortable, and supervised environment. While my apartment doesn’t have a backyard, there is a fenced-in area nearby where dogs can run, play fetch, and get exercise. I also have a car, so if the owner is comfortable with it, I can take the dogs to a dog park for additional enrichment and activity. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions are followed closely. I’m also very mindful of respecting the home itself. I was raised to always leave a place cleaner than I found it, so I make sure everything is kept tidy, organized, and exactly as I found it. Communication is also important to me, so I always update owners and let them know right away if anything seems off or if there are any concerns about their pet’s health, behavior, or well-being.

“This is Goma's second time with Mariya. Had zero concerns as she was outstanding and even went above and beyond for us when our flight got delayed and canceled several times a couple years ago. She sent us photos and videos of how Goma was doing and we could tell Goma was really enjoying himself with Mariya's routine. Some people may get defensive, but we appreciated Mariya letting us know Goma was a little overweight and how it could affect his joints in the future. It's nice to know she cares for our dogs as if they were her own. We always seek out Mariya when we go out of town, and we plan to continue to do so. Thank you Mariya, and Happy New Year to you.”

About: What can I say, people are crazy but animals just make sense 😂 I've grown up with cats since I was an infant, they're truly the prefect animal, can't change my mind! I also have experience with dogs, some reptiles, assorted rodents including guinea pigs, and fish. Outside of that, I'm a fast learner, not afraid of much, and capable of following instructions. I'd love to meet your fur baby! I work full time, so we will just need to talk and figure out schedules. I can usually make it work. I have a reliable car I have a lot of yard space, most of it not fenced unfortunately but I have multiple runners. I have a 3 bedroom apartment in the bottom of a full sized house, so it's spacious and stays cool in the summer. I have a kennel but use it sparingly. My own dogs get taken to one of several parks every morning to run off energy, as well as car rides and walks around the neighborhood. They live their rams horn filled with yogurt or peanut butter and frozen, for their inside time! I try to keep things stimulating As for care in your home, you tell me! I'll adapt to your needs as best I can :)

About: My family has lots of dogs ranging from 150 lbs to 7 lbs. I have taken care of them since I was 10 years old. My schedule is very open, I only have class on Tuesday and Thursday. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is open all day for me to watch. I am active so your dog will be walked and taken outside very often. My house is big so lots of room to play around.
