About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life, including my 3-year-old Goldendoodle and 8-year-old Golden Retriever. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, and giving both energetic and senior dogs the attention they need. I’m flexible and able to work around most schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and overnight stays with advance notice, and I’ll always communicate clearly to confirm timing before each booking. When your pet is with me, you can expect consistent care, attention, and safety, including walks, playtime, feeding, and water checks exactly as instructed, along with a calm and patient approach for all dog personalities and energy levels. I also provide regular updates with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing, and I treat every dog like family. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority at all times. I provide a calm, secure, and supervised environment where dogs are never left unattended during care, and I always follow owner instructions carefully for feeding, walks, and routines. I’m attentive to each dog’s behavior and needs to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable, whether they’re energetic or more laid-back. I also keep a clean environment and make sure pets are always in a safe space during visits or stays.
About: I have always watched all my families fur babies. They have been well loved just as my own. I’m always watching training videos on dog behavior as to be ready at all times and recognizing when to step in. I’m a stay at home mom so I’m always home majority of my days unless I’m running errands. So they are in my care at all times. I love to send videos and pictures to keep everyone updated. So I’m hoping to love on your fur-babies soon. I’m a stay at home mom. So I’m home almost all of my days unless I’m out running an errand or out with my sister doing an activity with my kids. But most of my days consist of being at home. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I have a really big back yard and open front yard and woods. We are back in the corner of the woods. I also have 2 big dogs that will help guide your dog on how to do things. I also have a crate if need be for a large breed dog if that’s something they are use too. I’m more than welcome to walk your dogs on a leash if you felt more comfortable

“I had a great experience with LeNai. She was thorough during the intake, giving me a full tour and taking the time to get to know my dogs and their individual quirks. Rocko can be an anxious dog, but she took it in stride and was very patient with him. She gradually introduced him to other dogs safely and calmly, and was able to pick up on behavioral cues very well. She sent many photos and videos throughout the day to let me know they were doing well. I will most definitely use her services again.”

“Kate was amazing! She was able to get us in last minute and my dog absolutely loved her (she sent pics of the puppy kisses). My dog came home happy (Kate even brought her home!) And tired from all her adventures. I was so nervous to leave my pupper with someone new, but Kate sent lots of pictures and my dog was clearly comfortable with her! Will absolutely use her again!”

“I booked Nickeyias for doggy daycare and she took amazing care of my Bintley. He felt completely comfortable with her and her family from the start, and she treated him like he was part of her family. When I picked him up, he was relaxed, happy, and clearly enjoyed his day. I already scheduled his next visit — highly recommend!”

“Sequoia always lives staying with Norma and her pups. Having the fenced in back yard where she can relax and play is so nice on these beautiful fall days. Hopefully, soon she will be spending a few nights with Norma and be totally pampered.”

“Elizabeth took such great care of my 2 month old puppy Nova! She sent me frequent updates, pictures and messages about their day. I was completely at ease knowing my puppy was well taken care of. Thank you for everything you do Elizabeth!”
About: Hey everyone! I am a huge animal lover. I have always had a dog in my home whether it be a family dog or my personal dog. Currently, I have two big, high energy dogs of my own a golden retriever and a husky! I love animals and understand needing to feel like your pet is safe and loved while you’re away! I will treat your furry friends just as I would my own 🩵 I am currently on summer break for work and have open availability for scheduling! Doggy daycare is now available me for the summer to book! I have a fenced in yard and two friendly, high energy dogs as well as a one year old son who loves dogs. My dogs are good with other dogs and children as well. They enjoy playing and running around together! I also have a large crate available for us if your animal is used to being crated. We do walk and lots of play time outside in our backyard.
About: I am retired, have trained and shown dogs for over fifty years, live in a condo with one sheltie and one cat. I like to sit ONE dog at a time so it can have special one on one attention. Special arrangements can be made with two dogs that are from the same family. My floors are tile and I sterilize them between visits. I do NOT have a fenced yard but we have a 20 x 80 fenced dog run right outside my back door and we walk every two to three hours and once during the night. Since I am retired, I can be with your dog 24/7 with small exceptions. The dogs are allowed on the furniture and in the bed. I do insist that dogs be house trained and crate trained since we feed in crates or crate them if I have to be away. If you want personal care and attention for your dog, we would love to supply that service. We do NOT do meet and greets. We find that those brief encounters simply put stress on my dogs and yours. I take about an hour when a dog has arrived to acclimate him safely and comfortably. I only care for small dogs, under 30 pounds, and no puppies. Since I am retired, my schedule is pretty much staying around the house. There are no children and things are pretty quiet most of the time. “She was very communicative. Sent lots of pictures and videos. When an issue arose, she handled it perfectly and communicated what happened and we established a plan for if it should come up again.”

About: I’ve had animals my entire life! I would love to take care of your baby’s for you and treat them like my own! I have taken care of dogs & cats at every age and other animals. I don’t have a full-time job right now, so I have time to take care of animals when people need my help when they can’t. I’ve treated every animal as if they were my child. Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
