About: Hello Hello! I’ve been caring for pets for 5 years - from energetic 10 week old puppies to 13 y/o senior dogs, (and many more in between!) - and I truly treat every animal like family. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’m comfortable with everything from high-energy pups to pets who need a little extra care or patience. Pet care is something I’m happy to incorporate into my routine! I’m currently in school, so I don’t have to work around a strict work schedule. I’m available for morning/ afternoon/ evening walks or visits, and I’m flexible with scheduling to fit your pet’s needs. Whether it’s a midday potty break and feeding or overnight care in your home, I’d be there to help make things easy and stress-free. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping things as familiar and safe as possible. I’ll stick close to your pet’s usual routine- with feeding, walks, playtime, or medication- so they feel secure and comfortable while you’re away! I treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’ll be mindful of your space, follow your instructions, and make sure your pet has everything they need. Whether I’m doing a quick drop-in or staying overnight, you can count on updates and photos, so you always know how things are going!
About: I recently retired as the President of the Community Foundation of Elkhart County. I decided to try Rover as a way to spend time with animals and help individuals with their pet care needs. I am recently retired so I am free just about anytime I am needed. My wife and I live in Granger so I am available anywhere in the South Bend and Elkhart area. I have owned dogs and cats all my life. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
