About: Welcome to Pop's Fetch & Rest. I'm a retired Army Officer and live alone in a cozy single story cottage. The property is unfenced so being on leash is essential. I typically am not away from home for more than 2 hours at a time so dogs become the center of my happy little world. I have owned dogs all my life and am experienced in administering medications. Being retired, I am quite flexible and available to schedule with short notice or longer range planning. Other than Church on Sunday, no real commitments. A stay with me would be like a visit with an old friend...a nice balance of play & rest. Bird and squirrel watching is optional.

One of our dearly departed GSP's "Star" had epilepsy & needed a variety of medications. With out these, she wouldn't have had a longer life. It was a blessing to be able to help her live longer by giving her her daily medications. Mr. Hank & Becca are our fur babies! Everyday is an adventure and we wouldn't know what to do without them. :-) See you soon! Daily meals, walks, play time, potty breaks and cuddles are our everyday events. About: I have never been without a dog in my life! I love dogs more than most anything! They give such unconditional love. I spend most of my free time with dogs. Whether that’s training them , showing them or just laying on the couch cuddle them. I am a very caring person that is very attentive to pets needs. I grew up on a farm. I have experience with all sizes of dogs.I am a preservation breeder of bloodhounds( last litter 6 years ago sadly). There’s nothing better than being in a whelping box with puppies climbing all over you. I have experience caring for every age dog, as well as different health issues. I’ve also worked as a vet tech and have a lot of veterinary experience from changing wound dressings to administering pills and shots. Although not certified I have been training dogs my entire life. I am also an empath and have special connections with animals . I can tune into what they need and read body language . I believe in holistic health for people and pets. If you have a pet that needs special food ( raw, cooked, live) I have no issue with that. I treat my dogs like my children. They have a schedule, they are fed, exercised and have nap time and bed time consistently everyday. They live in my house with me. Currently have 3 bloodhounds ( 9,7&7 mo) and one cat who thinks he’s a dog😊 I’m currently working part time and have a flexible schedule. I have time late mornings (10-3)afternoon and evenings after 6 for pet visits and walks. My dogs are treated like family . I do believe in consistency whether that’s their routine or in their training. They are loved and spoiled but are also made to behave appropriately. Although bloodhounds do like to test the limits. lol I would treat your family pet the same with love , patience and consistency.

Their place is on an amazing piece of land and Chris was very helpful in finding the best location for Maxi's short visit. Chris took lots of photos of Maxi and made sure she had plenty of fun. I highly recommend her and Jess and awesome sitters for your furry friends.”

He was a dog owner for many years until the death this past Christmas of his precious English Springer Spaniel, Hunter. Peter is a very kind-hearted person - to dogs as well as people. He and Hunter had many fun play times together. Whenever Pete would be gone from home for a long period of time, he made sure that he had someone who would come to his home and walk and/or feed Hunter. I remember him taking Hunter to the vet so many times as the dog got older and older and needed treatment for his aging problems. Hunter was a very well-cared for dog, as are other dogs he watches on occasion. One of his daughters has 5 dogs and when she will be away from home for longer than normal, Pete is the one she leans on to care for her dogs, and I do believe he loves every minute of it. A dog lover would not go wrong to have Peter caring for his beloved dogs.”

“My husband and I travel often through out the year, and are gone for up to three weeks. I know that Lynn is listed here for dog sitting and care, but she has been taking care of my babies for years. Along with the Yorkie Terrier, I have an elderly cat, and a 60 gallon salt water reef tank, so my babies have to stay at my home, and need to be fed twice a day. It's wonderful to return from a three week trip and find the dog and cat spoiled and happy; but even better to find the reef tank still as wonderful as when I left. It takes a real caring person to find that kind of attention.”
