Ik heb altijd huisdieren gehad (katten, honden) vanaf jongs af aan en ik heb nu een geweldige kat Loekie, die de 'baas in huis' is bij ons. Ik werk niet dus heb ik tijd om door de weeks voor andere dieren te zorgen. Ik weet zelf hoe moeilijk het is als je op vakantie gaat en je moet je kleine prins/prinses achterlaten. Als wij weg gaan wordt Loekie twee keer per dag door de buurvrouw verwent met eten maar ook met aandacht en snoepjes. Ik wil het zeldfe voor jou/jullie kat(ten)/hond(en) te doen. In het verleden ben ik wel oppas voor katten en honden van buren geweest, en dat wil ik nu voor meer mensen gaan doen. Ik heb een auto, dus ben mobiel, en vind het geen moeite om een of twee keer per dag op katten in de buurt te passen, of honduitlaatservice (30 minuten per buurt) te bieden. Eten, water, spelen, fototje maken.. noem maar op! Ik ben in Engeland geboren dus 'no problem to speak english'. Ik spreek ook Frans en Duits als dat nodig is. Als je mij wilt boeken, doen we eerst altijd een kennismakinggesprek, zo kunnen we richtlijjnen en dergelijken bespreken. Over: I have been a dog owner since I was 3 years old. I also attended dog trainings with my own dogs and trained them after. My dog lives back home so I do not see him a lot and I miss having a dog around which is why I signed up. I had a very easy female dog as my first and a very dominant not so easy male dog as my second, so I have experience with different tempers. I also watched my friends dogs a lot. I am currently unemployed looking for jobs so I have a lot of free time. I also have two roomates, one works from home a lot and the other can work from home if needed. I live in an apartment building where we had dogs around before and had no issues with safety. It is a big apartment so dogs can have enough space to run around and have fun. Het park is a 5-10 minutes walk from us which is very convenient for nice walks.

Over: Ik ben 18 jaar en heb zelf al 5 jaar een Labrador, Sky. Vanaf dat ze een pup was heb ik haar samen met mijn moeder opgevoed. We zijn met haar naar puppycursus geweest, dus ik heb ook echt geleerd hoe je een hond goed en consequent opvoedt. Sky heeft epilepsie en krijgt daar dagelijks medicatie voor. Daardoor heb ik ervaring met het geven van pilletjes en weet ik hoe belangrijk het is om rustig te blijven en goed op te letten. Gelukkig gaat het heel goed met haar. Wat mij denk ik onderscheidt, is dat ik echt kijk naar wat een hond nodig heeft. De ene hond wil lekker spelen en rennen, de ander heeft meer rust nodig. Ik ben geduldig, zorgzaam en neem de verantwoordelijkheid serieus. Honden voelen voor mij niet als “werk”, maar gewoon als iets wat ik met liefde doe. Ik kan oppassen goed combineren met mijn dagelijkse planning. Omdat ik zelf een hond heb, ben ik gewend aan vaste uitlaattijden, voeren, spelen en aandacht geven. Dat zit al helemaal in mijn routine. Ik werk graag duidelijk en maak goede afspraken met baasjes, zodat iedereen weet waar hij of zij aan toe is. Voor mij staat veiligheid altijd op nummer één. Ik behandel elke hond alsof het mijn eigen hond is. Ik luister goed naar de wensen van het baasje en volg instructies zorgvuldig op, bijvoorbeeld rondom voeding, medicatie of wandelgewoontes. Omdat ik ervaring heb met een hond die iets extra zorg nodig heeft, ben ik alert en oplettend. Ik zorg voor rust, duidelijkheid en een fijne sfeer. Als ik bij het baasje thuis oppas, zorg ik dat de hond zich veilig en vertrouwd voelt in zijn eigen omgeving. En natuurlijk stuur ik met liefde updates of foto’s als dat fijn wordt gevonden.

Ik heb een jaar de tijd gekomen om haar op te voeden en te trainen, daarna ben ik enkele jaren met haar gaan backpacken. Hierdoor ben ik het gewend om altijd controle over mijn hond te hebben, ongeacht wat voor situatie we in zijn. Ook heb ik regelmatig contact met andere honden of pas ik op andere honden/dieren van vrienden en familie, en heb ik op verschillende boerderijen gewerkt. Ik ben echt een dieren mens en over het algemeen zijn dieren snel en makkelijk met mij in omgang. Momenteel ben ik vrij van verplichtingen en heb ik dus veel tijd en ben ik flexibel qua planning. Ik geef de voorkeur aan langere termijn housesitting. I will take my time to get to know your dog, and to introduce him/her to Kiwi. If necessary this can be done on neutral terrain or a walk. My own dog gets food twice per day, she is okay with other dogs but if necessary they can be kept apart while eating. Normally I walk her one to three times a day, depends on the weather, time, etc. For your dog I will follow the instructions you provide and take care that the dogs will be social to each other, or at best tolerate and respect each other.
