Over: Ik heb meer dan 10 jaar ervaring met eigen honden en oppassen op honden. Zowel met honden uit het asiel als geadopteerde honden als eigen honden. In het weekend wandel ik vaak vroeg in de ochtend in het Kralingse bos met mijn eigen hondje. Meestal een groot rondje, maar soms kleiner, afhankelijk van wat het oppashondje aankan. Over: Hi! My name is Nehir, and I’m a 20-year-old Psychology student living in Rotterdam. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I grew up around many different pets, which gave me years of experience understanding animal behavior and care.

I am a calm, patient, and responsible person, and I genuinely enjoy making pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Because every animal has a different personality and routine, I always adapt my care depending on their needs and energy level.

A typical day with me includes regular walks, playtime, feeding based on the owner’s instructions, lots of attention, and a calm environment where pets can relax comfortably. Walks are usually between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on the dog. Pets are never left alone for very long periods, and I always make sure they are supervised carefully indoors and outdoors. I am comfortable onwith shy or anxious dogs and try to help them feel secure with patience and gentle attention. I can also follow specific routines, feeding schedules, and basic training instructions from owners. I always keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel relaxed while away from their pets.

Safety is very important to me. I keep a clean and pet-safe environment at home and stay calm and responsible in unexpected situations or emergencies. For safety reasons, I prefer vaccinated pets.

Because I am a university student with a flexible schedule, pets are rarely left alone for long periods. In most cases, they would stay with me throughout the day. If I have a morning class, usually between 9:00 and 11:30, pets may be alone for a short time, but never more than around 2 hours. I always make sure they are comfortable, safe, and settled before leaving.

I understand that pets are family members, and I will always care for them with love, patience, and responsibility as if they were my own 🐾 I’m currently a student and only have classes three days a week, usually just one class per day. My schedule is quite flexible, and when I do go out, I’m rarely away from home for more than 3–4 hours at a time. I live in a comfortable and quiet apartment with enough space for pets to relax and feel at home. I keep the environment clean and safe, and there are no other pets in my home. I always follow the owner’s routine and instructions and make sure their pet gets plenty of attention and feels comfortable.

Over: I have had a German Shepard for all of my childhood who I took care of daily, walking her everyday and taking care of her. In her older years her back legs became paralysed so she had to use a wheelchair, so I have a lot of experience with older dogs who are not in their full mobility. Now recently for the past year I have got a Labrador puppy, who is full of energy, and not easy to walk, so I have a lot of experience with younger dogs as well who are not fully trained yet. I also have lived in a household with two cats, so I have experience of taking care of them and even walking a cat on a leash. I do not have a preference for kinds of dogs or cats, I approve of them all. I’m a student, so my schedule varies from week to week, but I have a lot of flexibility and availability. My classes usually only take up part of the day, and I also have days with no classes at all. This allows me to easily plan pet care around my schedule and make plenty of time for your pet. I’m also fully available on weekends! I always make sure that pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Before taking a pet for a walk, I make sure I fully understand their individual needs, routines, and anything I should avoid, and I keep this in mind throughout the walk. I live in an apartment without a balcony, but I’m happy to take pets outside for regular walks and make sure they get plenty of fresh air and exercise.

Over: Im in love with animals and would wanna always try my best to keep them safe, happy and loved as they deserve it. I do not have that much experience in serious pet sitting but I have always been around pets and have taken care of them and played with them quite a lot. Usually i have good experience with them and pets love me:)<3 My previous roommate and I used to have a cat and pet sit together sometimes, dogs as well. However in my new apartment, i just have one room (25m2) and is perhaps not the best living situation for especially bigger dogs. Otherwise small quiet pets is doable still at my place. You can find the photos in my gallery. I have a small balcony which is nice and our front door is a closed off open area. But inside the house would be mainly in my bedroom✨ But i am more than happy to take care of them in their own home and spoil them or whatever is needed. I can be quite flexible with my time. I need more pets and animals around me as i miss it:')) Ik spreek ook goed Nederlands :) I have a part time job which is mainly during evenings until midnight ish, sometimes i go to my art studio to work there which I differs the time schedule, but it is a big space and sometimes I can bring pets with me as well:) as long as they re known to be more on the quiet side hahaa. For the rest I sometimes have classes that I attend to or am with friends, but I eventually always come back home within 3 hours max, I live also quite close to Rotterdam centraal which is nice. I have a partner that stays over sometimes and then we both take care of the pet as well which we love:)))<3 Now I only have one bedroom space with a pet proof balcony for myself, I have a kitchen next to my room and a bathroom upstairs. Enough space for a pet to wander around but also not so big for a bigger dog for example. I also have a closed off front door terrace which is also nice:)) and a little park literally next to my house yey. I am quite flexible being at a pet owners house which I understand sometimes that might be easier for a pet. When it is good weather I can walk or bike to that place if its around my area, otherwise I go with transport (I would charge the transport a bit as well since those are expensive :')) I respect the houserules ofcourse and will let the pet owner know about any updates and news:)))<3

Now that I've moved here (I'm Brazilian and we're adapting and preparing to get another pet, but due to numerous trips, it's not the right time). So I think it's a great time to take care of animals in need when their owners can't be around! I'll try to get to know your pet and play with him in the way he likes, whether it's playing tag, fetching a ball or biting toys For those who aren't too restless, they will get affection and peace ♡ |'ll be very happy to take care of your pet, I'll give him all the affection I would give him if I could have an animal again. I work part-time as an artist, so I’m home most of the time and can give your pet plenty of attention. My husband also works from home, so there will be two people around to play with and walk your dog. We take quick potty breaks every three hours and go for one long walk in the late afternoon. And if you need only walks, I can come to your home for longer walks at whatever time works for you I don't have pets at home, and I only accept one pet at a time. Therefore, your dog will truly be the center of attention. Free access to the house, beds, and sofa. (unless you don't like it in your home, in which case I'll follow the same routine he's already used to)

Over: Ik ben opgegroeid met de Ierse setter van mijn opa & oma, ik bracht veel tijd met haar door, iedere dag wandelen en spelen met haar. Hier is mijn liefde voor honden begonnen. Ondertussen heb ik een eigen hond samen met mijn partner Sil, Frida een border collie. Samen trekken we er graag op uit, de natuur in om te wandelen. Als uw huisdier bij ons thuis verblijft dan delen ik en mijn partner de zorg over uw dier. Sil heeft veel ervaring met veel verschillende honden, heeft bij een hondenschool en dagopvang gewerkt. Of uw huisdier jong of oud is, of op een andere manier speciale aandacht nodig heeft, dat is geen enkel probleem. Momenteel studeer ik, daarnaast heb ik genoeg tijd om voor uw huisdier te zorgen, en anders springt mijn partner bij als het nodig is. We wandelen meerdere keren per dag met onze hond Frida dus als het te combineren valt is helemaal mooi meegenomen. En om voor katten in hun eigen woonomgeving te verzorgen is altijd mogelijk. We wonen op de eerste etage in een mooie groene buurt, de balkonzijde van de woning is heel rustig en zonnig. We zijn flexibel en kijken naar wat uw huisdier nodig heeft, en wat goed is voor hem/haar.

Over: Growing up in Greece, I’ve always loved cats since I was little. I would always get yelled at when I would try to pet strays. We rescued a cat in 2021 and have kept him ever since as a loving pet. Although he’s a great cat, I would also like to think that the way we handle him has made an effect on his personality as he’s really manageable and doesn’t put up a fuss for vet visits. Other than my own cat I have regularly taken care of my neighbour’s cat when they go on vacation and he has never been anything but friendly. I fed him cleaned his toilet put cold water in his bowl and stayed for a couple of hours to keep him company. I’ve also been around my friends cats, helped trim their nails and I find that so far I’ve had good luck with cats. I hope this isn’t a big text thank you so much for reading this!

Op dit moment woon ik samen met twee lieve katers en weet ik als geen ander hoe belangrijk het is om met een gerust hart op vakantie te kunnen gaan. Ik heb de opleiding tot gedragstherapeut voor katten afgerond en heb veel ervaring met katten met uiteenlopende medische en gedragsproblemen, zoals onzindelijkheid, sproeien, angst en agressie. Daarnaast ben ik verpleegkundige, waardoor ik ervaren ben in het toedienen van medicatie, zowel oraal als via injecties. Tijdens je vakantie kom ik één of twee keer per dag bij je thuis om je huisdier de zorg en aandacht te geven die hij of zij nodig heeft. Ik verzorg eten en drinken, dien indien nodig medicatie toe, verschoon de bak/kooi, speel en knuffel, als hij of zij daarvan houd en hou je dagelijks op de hoogte. I like to schedule a video chat or in person meeting before taking care of a new dog to know all the practicalities and see if we are a good fit. Over: When I moved into the Netherlands, I moved in with a roommate who had two dogs. A golden retriever and a lhasa apso. They were both really well-behaved and I had the pleasure of taking care of them when my roommate went on business trips. These trips lasted about a week and during that time I would walk them three times a day, feed them, give them water, and play with them. Despite the big dog being around the same size as me, I think I handled him pretty good so I think it’s an extra that I can handle big dogs. I still take care of them despite not living there when I’m needed and I have become a person they can trust. I am entering my second year of university studying graphic design, so I work a lot with my hands often at home I have plenty of free time to take care of an animal for a couple of hours a day. I do not have a garden in my house, however I do have the biggest room. It depends on the animal how good that will be for them, however, I do prefer taking care of a pet in the pet owners home. Care in my house can be accepted if it’s an emergency for a couple of hours or a day.

I have long-term experience with dogs. I grew up in Kenya, where my parents’ have always had dogs, and since I was around 10, I’ve taken care of dogs and puppies of different breeds, from Golden Retrievers to Malteses. I have experience with feeding, walking, giving oral medication, grooming, basic training, and raising puppies.

 I now live in Rotterdam (Delfshaven area) and don’t have any dogs of my own here yet, but I love them, which is one reason I joined this platform!

 One thing that makes me a bit different from many sitters is that I usually only take care of one pet at a time and don’t have pets of my own. So if your dog is uncomfortable/anxious around other dogs or just prefers having all the attention, that's no problem. Of course, I’m happy to look after social dogs too!

 I work full-time in climate policy research, but I mainly work from home and only go to the office a maximum of once a week. My schedule is also very flexible, so I can take dogs out throughout the day, usually around four times: morning, lunchtime, late afternoon, and before bed. I live in an apartment but have figured out lots of different green walking routes nearby.

 I don’t leave dogs home alone. If I ever need to step outside, my partner, who also loves dogs, will be there to take care of them.

 I know every dog is different and that you’ve probably created a routine that works best for them. Please tell me! I always do my best to stick to it to make them feel as comfortable as possible.

I go to the office only once a week, mainly on Tuesdays but this is flexible and I can go whichever day works for my schedule. This schedule allows me to be home to do pet care. My work schedule is also flexible throughout the day because the organisation I work for is very laid back, so I am able to regularly take dogs out for walks/to go potty throughout the day. My partner goes to work most days but has an irregular schedule so if I need to step out e.g., to do groceries, he would be home to take over the pet care for that time. I live in a fairly spacious apartment and have a park across the road where I would take the dogs in my care for walks. There are also multiple other green walking routes in my neighbourhood. I‘m very respecful of owners routines for their pet and would follow instructions closely.
