Over: When I was eight years old, my mother adopted a small stray dog, and I have been taking care of him ever since. We grew up together. As a student with a light class schedule, I have a lot of free time that’s also very flexible. I’m available for early morning walks, afternoon play sessions, and even last-minute pet-sitting requests. I currently live in a small apartment in the city center. Over: Vanaf mijn 13e tot ik uit huis ging, had mijn vader een fokkerij (boxers) en kwamen we meermaals per week bij de hondenclub waar we onze eigen honden - en de honden van anderen - trainden. Op mijn 14e deed ik voor het eerst zelf mee aan een wedstrijd (VZH, voor de kenners), waarbij baasjes en hun honden laten zien hoe gehoorzaam de hond is. Ik ben dus écht opgegroeid met honden, zowel die al goed luisteren, als die... Een steuntje in de rug nodig hadden ;-). Ik heb geen probleem met angstige of getraumatiseerde honden, slopers of agressievelingen word ik een stuk minder gelukkig van. Mocht je specifieke regels gehandhaafd willen zien, laat het mij gewoon weten en dan zorgen we samen dat jouw hond lekker consistent blijft! Op maandag en woensdag werk ik thuis, en van vrijdag tot en met zondag heb ik weekend! In de zomer werk ik normaliter de hele week thuis, stuur vooral even een berichtje om te kijken wat er mogelijk is. Uiteraard heb ik in de weekenden regelmatig sociale afspraken gepland, maar een week van tevoren weet ik zeker wat er mogelijk is. Ik heb geen buitenruimte (behalve een balkon), maar als een hond bij mij verblijft, zorg ik ervoor dat die in ieder geval 3 keer per dag een rondje buiten loopt. Ik woon in een buurt met veel andere honden, dus tijdens een rondje wandelen zal je hond met andere hondjes in aanraking komen. Je hond is altijd aangelijnd, los lopen is in mijn buurt geen optie. Ik woon in een appartement (~45m2) dus je hondje kan alleen bij mij blijven als hij niet heel veel beweegruimte nodig heeft. Honden mogen niet op meubels (bank/stoelen) of in de slaapkamer. Gelukkig zit ik zelf graag op de grond, dus knuffels komen ze niet zo snel tekort :)

Thuis hadden we katten, konijnen en hamsters, waardoor ik al op jonge leeftijd gewend ben om voor dieren te zorgen. Ik werk parttime op een buitenschoolse opvang. Over: Ik ben opgegroeid met de Ierse setter van mijn opa & oma, ik bracht veel tijd met haar door, iedere dag wandelen en spelen met haar. Hier is mijn liefde voor honden begonnen. Ondertussen heb ik een eigen hond samen met mijn partner Sil, Frida een border collie. Samen trekken we er graag op uit, de natuur in om te wandelen. Als uw huisdier bij ons thuis verblijft dan delen ik en mijn partner de zorg over uw dier. Sil heeft veel ervaring met veel verschillende honden, heeft bij een hondenschool en dagopvang gewerkt. Of uw huisdier jong of oud is, of op een andere manier speciale aandacht nodig heeft, dat is geen enkel probleem. Momenteel studeer ik, daarnaast heb ik genoeg tijd om voor uw huisdier te zorgen, en anders springt mijn partner bij als het nodig is. We wandelen meerdere keren per dag met onze hond Frida dus als het te combineren valt is helemaal mooi meegenomen. En om voor katten in hun eigen woonomgeving te verzorgen is altijd mogelijk. We wonen op de eerste etage in een mooie groene buurt, de balkonzijde van de woning is heel rustig en zonnig. We zijn flexibel en kijken naar wat uw huisdier nodig heeft, en wat goed is voor hem/haar.

Jessica was even laying on the floor, next to our shy cay who was basking in the sun! Our shy cat seems to warm up to her already after just a few visits. Ik heb de opleiding tot gedragstherapeut voor katten afgerond en heb veel ervaring met katten met uiteenlopende medische en gedragsproblemen, zoals onzindelijkheid, sproeien, angst en agressie. Daarnaast ben ik verpleegkundige, waardoor ik ervaren ben in het toedienen van medicatie, zowel oraal als via injecties. Tijdens je vakantie kom ik één of twee keer per dag bij je thuis om je huisdier de zorg en aandacht te geven die hij of zij nodig heeft. Ik verzorg eten en drinken, dien indien nodig medicatie toe, verschoon de bak/kooi, speel en knuffel, als hij of zij daarvan houd en hou je dagelijks op de hoogte. Over: Hello, I’m Noer! I speak dutch and English fluently. When i was younger I owned a cat, his name was Juki. He was the smartest kitty I have ever met and a real badass. I love cats so so so extremely much, as a child I would spend more time with cats than with other kids so they have taught me a LOT about them. I am very calm around cats but will also play with them as much as they like. I will just adapt to their personal needs. I tend to give them all my attention and won’t get distracted by my phone or other things, cause their safety and well-being are the most important thing to me. When everything is going well I might sometimes do some reading as i am a law student, this ofcourse won’t stop me from paying attention to your pet. I have run late for appointments before because I crossed paths with cats and I just couldn’t leave them, it was so worth it every time. I have always loved human psychology (since i was 9yo) and i quickly started learning a lot about feline psychology, I can read their body language really well and I always pay a LOT of attention to their boundaries and make sure not to overwhelm them, because they deserve to be respected just as much as people do. There’s been various occassions in which I met hypervigilant, reactive, anxious and traumatized animals, but shockingly they warmed up to me really fast. This one time I even befriended this reactive but adorable stray Tomcat, he did suddenly scratch me a few times but was also very loving and kept slow-blinking and rubbing his head against my legs + hands. I could never blame the confused little boy for struggling to process my affection. One adorable but very reactive and sadly anxious malinois even lets me sleep on him (he hates it when anyone else, including his favorite person does that and will normally just get up immediately). All in all, i will always put the furbaby’s needs first, I take this so seriously (i am very talkative, i couldn’t keep this short).
Over: I’ve taken care of 9 cats in total, throughout the years. With different breeds and ages, also multiple at once. I love cats and taking care of them very much. I’ve got a lot of experience feeding, washing, caring, combing, etc with cats. I have a cat of my own who’s named Lumieré. Who’ll turn 4 this year.

I study law and will probably sometimes do some reading while petsitting when everything is going well. I speak english and dutch fluently. There’s been various occassions in which I met hypervigilant, reactive, anxious and traumatized animals, but shockingly they warmed up to me really fast. Their owners were just as surprised to see their pet all over me or even falling asleep on me, they have told me that they felt safe with me. One adorable but very reactive and sadly anxious malinois even lets me sleep on him (he hates it when anyone else, including his favorite person does that and will normally just get up immediately). I have since the age of 9 been fascinated by psychology and eventually i started researching about animal psychology (mostly cats, dogs, and various birds such as crows and pigeons), so I pay very close attention to their body language and I do not waste time when something seems a little off. I am very communicative and will immediately text the owner if faced with any complications. i will provide the furbaby anything he needs/desires. You won’t have to worry about me leaving a mess in case of a home visit, i will clean up after the pet every time. There’s not really anything I wouldn’t be open to do (i am very talkative, i really tried to keep it short!!) I am a law student and have a lot of time this summer break. I am flexible and am willing to negotiate with a loving cat owner on the services, timing and even price. I usually am available on weekdays, but I’m willing to also take care of the furbaby on saturday and sunday and adjust my schedule. I would appreciate if bookings are done/cancelled a few days ahead, but I am flexible and understand that in some cases it’s just not doable. In those cases i could accept a short term booking/cancellation, when there’s no other choice left. I live in a student dormitory, so sadly it would not be healthy or safe enough for the pet to stay at my place yet until i have made the proper changes in my room and have communicated with my housemates (which i will when everything is ready). I have a great memory and i can take on any challenge when given clear instructions (I will take notes of every small detail if necessary), so I am a quick-learner. I’m also completely fine with a pet-cam in house (if the owner wishes to know what’s going on) as the cat’s safety is all that matters to me. I also like to keep things and rooms organized, so the owner doesn’t have to worry about me leaving a mess. I will gladly clean after the pet (in case of the pet having zoomies for example) and myself. I would like to meet up first to get to know the pet and the owners for certainty and a peace of mind for all parties involved.

Als wij weg gaan wordt Loekie twee keer per dag door de buurvrouw verwent met eten maar ook met aandacht en snoepjes. Ik wil het zeldfe voor jou/jullie kat(ten)/hond(en) te doen. In het verleden ben ik wel oppas voor katten en honden van buren geweest, en dat wil ik nu voor meer mensen gaan doen. Ik heb een auto, dus ben mobiel, en vind het geen moeite om een of twee keer per dag op katten in de buurt te passen, of honduitlaatservice (30 minuten per buurt) te bieden. Eten, water, spelen, fototje maken.. noem maar op! Ik ben in Engeland geboren dus 'no problem to speak english'. Ik spreek ook Frans en Duits als dat nodig is. Als je mij wilt boeken, doen we eerst altijd een kennismakinggesprek, zo kunnen we richtlijjnen en dergelijken bespreken. Ook heb ik regelmatig contact met andere honden of pas ik op andere honden/dieren van vrienden en familie, en heb ik op verschillende boerderijen gewerkt. Ik ben echt een dieren mens en over het algemeen zijn dieren snel en makkelijk met mij in omgang. Momenteel ben ik vrij van verplichtingen en heb ik dus veel tijd en ben ik flexibel qua planning. Ik geef de voorkeur aan langere termijn housesitting. I will take my time to get to know your dog, and to introduce him/her to Kiwi. If necessary this can be done on neutral terrain or a walk. My own dog gets food twice per day, she is okay with other dogs but if necessary they can be kept apart while eating. Normally I walk her one to three times a day, depends on the weather, time, etc. For your dog I will follow the instructions you provide and take care that the dogs will be social to each other, or at best tolerate and respect each other.

Over: Ik ben 18 jaar en heb zelf al 5 jaar een Labrador, Sky. Vanaf dat ze een pup was heb ik haar samen met mijn moeder opgevoed. We zijn met haar naar puppycursus geweest, dus ik heb ook echt geleerd hoe je een hond goed en consequent opvoedt. Sky heeft epilepsie en krijgt daar dagelijks medicatie voor. Daardoor heb ik ervaring met het geven van pilletjes en weet ik hoe belangrijk het is om rustig te blijven en goed op te letten. Gelukkig gaat het heel goed met haar. Wat mij denk ik onderscheidt, is dat ik echt kijk naar wat een hond nodig heeft. De ene hond wil lekker spelen en rennen, de ander heeft meer rust nodig. Ik ben geduldig, zorgzaam en neem de verantwoordelijkheid serieus. Honden voelen voor mij niet als “werk”, maar gewoon als iets wat ik met liefde doe. Ik kan oppassen goed combineren met mijn dagelijkse planning. Omdat ik zelf een hond heb, ben ik gewend aan vaste uitlaattijden, voeren, spelen en aandacht geven. Dat zit al helemaal in mijn routine. Ik werk graag duidelijk en maak goede afspraken met baasjes, zodat iedereen weet waar hij of zij aan toe is. Voor mij staat veiligheid altijd op nummer één. Ik behandel elke hond alsof het mijn eigen hond is. Ik luister goed naar de wensen van het baasje en volg instructies zorgvuldig op, bijvoorbeeld rondom voeding, medicatie of wandelgewoontes. Omdat ik ervaring heb met een hond die iets extra zorg nodig heeft, ben ik alert en oplettend. Ik zorg voor rust, duidelijkheid en een fijne sfeer. Als ik bij het baasje thuis oppas, zorg ik dat de hond zich veilig en vertrouwd voelt in zijn eigen omgeving. En natuurlijk stuur ik met liefde updates of foto’s als dat fijn wordt gevonden.

Lately I've been dog sitting for friends when on holidays and here on rover, and I'm really loving it (and the dogs are loving it too😇!). I am very flexible time wise. I can walk your dog up to 4 times a day, and spend plentiful of time playing with them. I like to schedule a video chat or in person meeting before taking care of a new dog to know all the practicalities and see if we are a good fit. I like playing a lot with dogs and making sure they are feeling happy and at home. I have a fenced courtyard and parks (e.g. het park) to walk them close by. I walk on leash. I have another dog (samoyed, male, you can see in the profile) that gets along with other dogs. So we can make them meet before to make sure they get along.
Over: I have been a dog owner since I was 3 years old. I also attended dog trainings with my own dogs and trained them after. My dog lives back home so I do not see him a lot and I miss having a dog around which is why I signed up. I had a very easy female dog as my first and a very dominant not so easy male dog as my second, so I have experience with different tempers. I also watched my friends dogs a lot. I am currently unemployed looking for jobs so I have a lot of free time. I also have two roomates, one works from home a lot and the other can work from home if needed. I live in an apartment building where we had dogs around before and had no issues with safety. It is a big apartment so dogs can have enough space to run around and have fun. Het park is a 5-10 minutes walk from us which is very convenient for nice walks.

Over: Ik ben opgegroeid met de Ierse setter van mijn opa & oma, ik bracht veel tijd met haar door, iedere dag wandelen en spelen met haar. Hier is mijn liefde voor honden begonnen. Ondertussen heb ik een eigen hond samen met mijn partner Sil, Frida een border collie. Samen trekken we er graag op uit, de natuur in om te wandelen. Als uw huisdier bij ons thuis verblijft dan delen ik en mijn partner de zorg over uw dier. Sil heeft veel ervaring met veel verschillende honden, heeft bij een hondenschool en dagopvang gewerkt. Of uw huisdier jong of oud is, of op een andere manier speciale aandacht nodig heeft, dat is geen enkel probleem. Momenteel studeer ik, daarnaast heb ik genoeg tijd om voor uw huisdier te zorgen, en anders springt mijn partner bij als het nodig is. We wandelen meerdere keren per dag met onze hond Frida dus als het te combineren valt is helemaal mooi meegenomen. En om voor katten in hun eigen woonomgeving te verzorgen is altijd mogelijk. We wonen op de eerste etage in een mooie groene buurt, de balkonzijde van de woning is heel rustig en zonnig. I grew up in Kenya, where my parents’ have always had dogs, and since I was around 10, I’ve taken care of dogs and puppies of different breeds, from Golden Retrievers to Malteses. I have experience with feeding, walking, giving oral medication, grooming, basic training, and raising puppies. I now live in Rotterdam (Delfshaven area) and don’t have any dogs of my own here yet, but I love them, which is one reason I joined this platform! One thing that makes me a bit different from many sitters is that I usually only take care of one pet at a time and don’t have pets of my own. So if your dog is uncomfortable/anxious around other dogs or just prefers having all the attention, that's no problem. Of course, I’m happy to look after social dogs too! I work full-time in climate policy research, but I mainly work from home and only go to the office a maximum of once a week. My schedule is also very flexible, so I can take dogs out throughout the day, usually around four times: morning, lunchtime, late afternoon, and before bed. I live in an apartment but have figured out lots of different green walking routes nearby. I don’t leave dogs home alone. My work schedule is also flexible throughout the day because the organisation I work for is very laid back, so I am able to regularly take dogs out for walks/to go potty throughout the day. My partner goes to work most days but has an irregular schedule so if I need to step out e.g., to do groceries, he would be home to take over the pet care for that time. I live in a fairly spacious apartment and have a park across the road where I would take the dogs in my care for walks. There are also multiple other green walking routes in my neighbourhood. I‘m very respecful of owners routines for their pet and would follow instructions closely.

Over: I have a dog of my own. It’s an adorable well behaved 2,5 year old beagle. I raise him since he was 8 weeks old. Before that I would casually have dog-sit pets of my friends. I can host your dog in the period of Friday - Monday or less. The rest of the days I work in the office. Also overnight is possible as long as it is planned in advance. I have a fenced yard and a crate if your dog used to it and need to sleep there or so. With my own beagle at home a play and a company is guaranteed. He is super social. We have a lively dog play ground nearby where dogs can run unleashed.
