About: *I AM BACKPACKING THE NA PALI COAST 8/5-8/12 AND WILL BE WITHOUT SIGNAL AND UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES DURING THIS TIME* I travel off island often and can't have my own puppy family, so I will watch your fur-babies like they are my own! I enjoy the adventure of pup-sitting at homes all over the island. I work remotely so am able to be away from my place for long stretches of time. While I like to explore the local areas I stay in, I will mostly be snuggled up with your fur-babies typing away. I am a veteran with Rover- In fact I have been pet-sitting before Rover existed using Craigslist. I have a huge love for all animals and am very experienced with caring for different types of animals and breeds. I am patient, and gentle with a huge heart for animals. I understand every household has different culture. I always try and mimic all the rules of the home. Pets not allowed on the couch? no problem. Dogs like to sleep in the bed with owners? I am an expert puppy snugger. Perhaps the best. I will try and reinforce all commands and rules so there is a seamless transition upon your return. When dog-sitting in your home I will leave it better than I found it and happily respect boundaries and house rules. * My property is in Hilo but I am open to sitting at homes all over the island. In fact, I love to! I will text picture updates to my clients so they feel comforted that their sweetheart is being loved on. Why I love dog sitting: I had a Golden Retriever rescue for over 15 years till he passed 10 years ago. I travel a lot and didn't think it was fair to get another dog, but have been pet sitting since. I LOVE having dog energy still around... and the friendships I have made with my puppy parents. For my lifestyle it's the best of both worlds! I work remotely so am very flexible with my schedule and love having pets around to love on while exploring new and interesting locations on this beautiful island. My place is in Hilo but am open to doing pet sit stays all around the Big Island. Initial meeting can be done with a zoom call before meet and greet if too far from my area. I can also do house drop in visits if it coordinates with my location at the time needed. Right now I am primarily house sitting since my property does not have a fenced yard. I will match your schedule as best as possible and take care of your place the way you desire.

“I really appreciated Jessie's help when I went off island. The dogs looked forward to her coming and she let both do their thing (nose around) on their walks. She was reliable and gentle and comfortable with both animals. She would be my "go-to gal" when I needed the dogs walked. Thank you Jessie!”

About: I have worked as a Vet Tech for almost 3 years and have been pet sitting for friends and family since 2017. Reliable, trustworthy, and I love animals! 😃 I work from around 7-4 during the week and am off on weekends. I am able to care for your pets even with my full-time job- as long as your pet’s needs are able to be met with me out for most of the day on weekdays. I usually pet sit in the clients home. I make sure that the pet is comforted if they miss their owners and am sure to give them a lot of attention.

About: My dog is my baby. If I could take her every place possible, just know she’d be by my side. She is my family. Let me take your dog out and treat them with as much love and care as I do for my dog💙 I wake up early in the mornings and take my dog out on a walk as well as when I get home from work. We take long walks and stop to take in all that nature has to offer. We often head over to the dog park to play with the other puppers and it’s her favorite time of day. My dog is currently indoors but I do spend quite a bunch of time outside with her as well. We have a small yard that we are planning on fencing in so my dog has more place to run and play.

About: Located in Gig Harbor WA. I have a family history of love for animals. My dad had almost every animal as a pet when he was growing up, and his love for them has carried on to me. I have a tight schedule at my job at doggy day care and boarding currently. I have worked with all sorts of pets from snakes, cows, goats, sheep, cows, horses, chickens, lizards and of course dogs and cats. I have done approximately a dozen pet sitting and dog walking jobs on Rover and hope for more soon. I take care of dogs professionally at a dog day care. I can walk based on avoiding other dogs or to encourage socializing and am used to both. Let's meet and see what I can help you with! I can spend as little or as much time as your pooch is used to. Let me massage your dog and create a vacation for them while you're away. I have stayed in hundreds of other peoples homes and strive to keep a clean environment. I work at a doggy day care and have a pretty full schedule but if I can make it work when I'm off feel free to reach out. I will snuggle with your dogs and take them for walks as well as play in the yard. I can keep them inside most of the time or outside depending on your preference

About: I’ve taken care of my own animals and others since a young age. I’ve pet sat and walked many different dogs. I love all animals overall. However, at the dorm, I don’t have much space to take care of animals outside of walking them.

I’m available all day saturdays & sundays, monday/wednesday/friday I’m available from 3pm-whenever, and tuesday/thursday I’m available from 2pm-whenever. Since I’m in college living in a dorm I am unable to take animals into my dorm, so I would have to come to your house. Jody P.
Star Sitter

“I can't say enough good things about Jody! We hired Jody as our petsitter a year ago. We use her quite often to watch our dog Ellie. Jody's house is like Ellie's second home. She treats her like her own pet and Ellie gets so excited every time she goes to Jody's house. It is such a weight off of our minds to not have to worry about Ellie when we go away on vacation or on a trip. I know that she is in good hands and she isn't sitting there missing me. Jody takes her for walks and to the park. I have even had her watch Ellie for just the day when I was going to be away from the house for more than 6 hours. I would highly recommend that you book Jody the next time you need a dog sitter!”

Javi D.
“Your precious pet will be safe and happy with Javi! She is such an animal lover and intuitively senses their needs. When Javi watched my dog Kalei, I knew he was in good hands. I would 10/10 recommend Javi for all of your pet sitting and walking needs!”

Amber-Lyn S.
“Amber has been excellent with my puppy who is still being trained and can be easily excitable with new people. She took great care of him and eased my worries. I was nervous to leave him with anyone for that reason, but Amber made the whole process stress free! She’s great with communication and very responsible, she is my go to girl if I need anyone to help with him. Thank you Amber!”

Jeff H.

Shasta F.
“Shasta looked after our 3 dogs and one cat for an 11 day period in summer 2024. When we came home all the pets were remarkably calm, happy and healthy. It was clear that she took a great deal of care, and spent significant time, with them. I have known Shasta for several years. Shasta has several cats and dogs of her own, with a wide range of abilities and needs. She is a kind and thoughtful person, with broad knowledge and understanding of animal behavior.”

Nina B.
“Nina goes the extra mile when taking care of my senior dogs. Give her a chance. You won't regret it. I trust her with my most precious cargo, my 16-year-old and my 7-year-old furry family members. Life with a senior pet is most rewarding but definitely stressful. Finding the right care for seniors is a challenge. However, Nina is up for the challenge. She is compassionate and caring. While he is a happy boy, Champ requires a lot of special care. He has a special diet, meds, and he is mostly blind. Nina has never complained about the special nature of his care and has been taking top-notch care of Champ. Sadie is a little skittish; however, Nina’s calming caring presence has her snuggling next to her on the couch. My dogs are happy when they come home and well cared for. Nina is a godsend, and we couldn't be happier with her services. I wholeheartedly recommend Nina. You will never regret choosing her to take care of your pets.”

“Conner has taken great care of my pets! I can always rely on him & trust him to do a good job. He’s responsible, shows up on time, and does what you ask of him, in addition to going the extra mile. My pets also have loved having him as their sitter, and get excited when he’s there to take care of them, walk them, or play with them. I’d recommend him for sure, and know you’re putting your babies in good hands!”

Zander C.
“Zander is amazing with animals! My dog loved him immediately. He knows all the best places to walk a dog in and around Hilo. I would trust Zander with all my fur babies for overnight care, walks, or special needs. He’s great with communication and you’ll know your little one is loved and cared for.”

I am completely at ease knowing my fur baby, Baz is under his care. It gives me such a piece of mind that his needs are being met and he is actually enjoying his day with Drake! I can’t say enough!”

Catherine B.
“Catherine is a very reliable and conscientious dog sitter. She took care of our miniature Schnauzer for several weeks while we traveled, and she was mindful of the fact that we live in a cohousing community (a kind of intentional community) where there are some larger dogs that can be aggressive and that she needed to pay close attention when walking our dog. I felt full confidence that Shadow was in good hands. I would definitely hire her again.”
