About: My home is where I tell people "they have me trained well". I love all animals and believe they deserve the best of treatment as they give to us so unconditionally. Any animal in our household is taken care of as they are our children. Our older dog was raised to be kind to smaller animals and seems to think anything smaller than him is his to take care of. We taught this by stroking gently and telling him to "be nice" this is just a "baby". Animals are never hit or disciplined by any harsh means, we reinforce good behavior. Our dogs get brushed every night around 7:00 and remind us if we miss the time and we treat them to a small snack every evening around 8:30 which they know also.

About: Hello! I love all types of pets and currently have two dogs of my own. I am a student at Virginia-Maryland college of veterinary medicine trying to earn some extra money by doing what I love, playing with pets. I have experience with all types of pets at varying sizes and personalities. During my undergraduate career, I raised two Seeing Eye Dogs and helped other raisers with training. During this time, I worked at a veterinary hospital, participated in animal specific events like vaccination clinics, and groomed. From healthy puppies and kittens to seniors who need medication, I have seen it all and am prepared to help with whatever your pet needs. I hope I can meet your fur babies and shower them with love while you’re away. I offer additional grooming services, ask about them if your interested. As someone who owns two dogs, pet care is a priority in my life. Both of my pups get plenty of one-on-one time as well as long walks and enrichment in the house. During the day, the pups are crated while I am at school, but if my boyfriend is off of work they get to run around and play. As soon as I get home the dogs get taken out and fed. Along with daily care, I take care of all of their grooming and medical needs as well. I currently live in apartment complex which has a dog play area for your furry friends to get plenty of exercise. There is also a trail connected to the complex which will be utilized for long walks and plenty of sniffing opportunities. Both of my pups are very friendly and would be happy to be your pet’s playmate during their stay.

About: I have previously worked with Flying Fur, a doggy daycare and boarding service located in Newport, VA. Here, I gained experience working with various breeds and temperaments, and I would be happy to help you with your animal while you are away. In high school, I took small animal care as well as vet science, and have interacted with several of the therapy dogs on Radford University Campus. I am currently a college student working part-time, and I’d love to help care for your pet on my free time!! I am free weekly in the mornings and evenings! Can’t wait to meet your pets! During the walks, I allow the dogs to go at their own pace to get a sense of security with me and I love to reward them if they are doing good!

“Madison took care of both of our dogs while we were staying at Claytor Lake State Park. She came over twice during the day and even did a meet and greet the night before. She loves dogs and took great care of our Penny and Lucy. We would definitely use her again and would recommend her to anybody. One of our dogs is human-shy and she warmed up right away to Madison!”

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was a teenager, both for and outside of my family. I became a certified veterinarian assistant and have worked at animal clinics for seven years. I am able to do both simple and advanced skills like dog walking, drop-in play visits and administering medications. With having a diabetic dog, I have experience administering insulin and understanding the responsibilities that come with those cases. I currently work full-time at the animal clinic, but have availability during lunch hours during the work week. On Fridays and the weekends I am more flexible. At this time, I am unable to provide services at my home. In the future I will revisit that as a possible added opportunity to care for your pets.

Along with sitting for family and friends over the years. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine! I currently have a part-time job at Montgomery hospital and attend Radford University during the school year, but I still have plenty of availability outside of classes. A majority of my classes are done by 11 am. And Wednesdays are my busiest/fullest days. I enjoy spending my free time with animals, and I’m great at balancing my responsibilities while making sure pets get the attention and care they need! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always make sure to follow their usual routines to help the pet feel safe and comfortable. I give lots of attention, playtime, and care, and I’m happy to follow any special instructions! Whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, or favorite walking routes. I treat every home with respect and every pet like family.

About: So I have always been a loner in life. I'm that person that wants to take in the strays. I always say the animals choose me. In today's society no one has time to sit home all day and play with their pets. Thats what im here for. I can potty train, Crate train, and leash train. I love to go on walks and send lots of updates. So pet sitting is my only thing going on at the moment. I accept last minute emergencies, or plan ahead visits. I can keep them all day or however long you need me to. If you need a middle of the night drop off, im your girl. My pets run free. I don't leash my own but if yours is a runner I have a tie out or I can put them on their leash for a nice walk. At night, mine sleep in their kennels with the door open. Its kinda just a bed with walls.

About: I have worked in a boarding facility for two years. I have experience with taking care of pets and walking. I have taken care of diabetic pets as well as given any medication to those who need them as well. I am currently home for the summer and have time while home to pet sit and watch your furry babies. i love working with animals and if i can help then i would love to. I would care for them as if they were my own and make sure they get the best care given. I will watch them and give them any love and affection they may need as well as attend to their needs(i.e. using the bathroom, walks, cuddles etc.)

About: I’m a trusted pet sitter with a lifetime of experience caring for animals of all sizes. From energetic puppies needing extra playtime and long walks to senior dogs who prefer gentle care and snuggles, I adapt to each pet’s unique needs. My family has owned dogs of all sizes, and I’ve also cared for birds, fish, and even plants while owners are away. As a college student without a pet of my own, I’m excited for every opportunity to give your pets the love, attention, and exercise they deserve—whether it’s a walk, hike, run, or simply keeping them comfortable and happy at home! I am currently a second semester senior at Virginia Tech so I have plenty of time during the week and some weekends (mornings and afternoons preferred) to play, walk, and hang with your pups! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I ensure they feel safe and comfortable by maintaining their usual routines. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, and give them plenty of love and attention. For energetic pets, I include walks, playtime, or outdoor activities, while more calm pets get the gentle care and companionship they need. I also keep the home tidy, respect the client’s space, and send regular updates with photos, so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

Amelia B.
“I can't say enough good things about Amelia and the amazing care she provided for my two beagles! One is a playful 1-year-old and the other is a sweet and lazy 10-year-old. Amelia handled both of them with so much love, patience, and attentiveness. Not only is she incredibly sweet, but she also went above and beyond while I was away. I came home to a spotless house and two happy pups. She even tackled the nearly impossible task of bathing one of my dogs after she was sprayed by a skunk—something I wouldn’t wish on anyone! Amelia handled it with grace and made sure my pup was clean and comfortable. It's such a relief knowing I have someone I can truly trust with my dogs and my home. Amelia is everything you'd want in a pet sitter! She is caring, responsible, and just a genuinely wonderful person. I Highly, highly recommend her!!!”
