“Jennifer checked in on my two senior cats for a week and we couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Both my cats are on medication and with their age I worry about them constantly. Jennifer was great, I was very comfortable leaving them in her hands. She was excellent with communication, send pictures and volunteered her time to come over once before we left town. Would be happy to hire her again!”

About: What sets me apart is the combination of a genuinely flexible schedule, a safe fenced home environment, and two friendly resident dogs who help new pets settle in quickly and feel less anxious. I'm patient and attentive with dogs of all ages and energy levels—comfortable with the extra patience senior dogs often need (mobility, medication reminders, gentler walks) as well as the consistency and structure young or newly-trained pups thrive on. I treat every pet like my own, prioritize their normal routine, and communicate closely with owners throughout their stay. Pet care fits easily into my routine since I have a flexible schedule. I build my days around consistent feeding times, walks, and playtime, so your pet gets reliable attention whenever they need it—morning, midday, or evening. My home has a fenced yard and two friendly dogs for safe, supervised play. I closely monitor interactions, follow your pet's routine, and can crate them if needed for comfort.

About: I have been a veterinary technician for 6 years working an array of practices. From small pocket pets to large animal, general practice to emergency care, I thrive off making sure your kiddos are treated like family!! I am experienced in nail trimming dogs and cats, so if your kiddo is in need of a mani-pedi I’m all ears! I work flexible relief shifts at an animal ER, allowing me to accommodate varied schedules and provide reliable, attentive, and personalized pet care. With 6 years of veterinary experience and an additional 6 years of equine specific training, I’m no stranger to pet care, no matter the size! All of my four-legged friends have been rescues, so I believe in treating every animal with patience, respect, and compassion. I strongly support positive reinforcement and science-backed, ethical training methods. I believe pets should be treated like family, but they’re allowed to also just be a dog/cat, too!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for family and friends for many years and truly love being around animals. I currently have a friendly Goldendoodle puppy who loves other dogs and would enjoy having playmates during their stay. Because I work from home, your pet will receive lots of attention, supervision, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. We live on 2 peaceful acres in the country surrounded by farmland, giving dogs plenty of space to safely run, explore, and burn energy. Inside, pets are treated like family — couch cuddles are welcome! My goal is to make your fur baby feel comfortable, active, loved, and at home while you’re away so you can return to a happy, tired pup ready to relax and cuddle with you. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and already spend most of my day caring for my own Goldendoodle puppy. Your pet will have frequent potty breaks, playtime, outdoor exercise, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m available most weekdays and weekends and can be flexible with schedules when needed. We live on 2 peaceful acres in the country, so dogs have lots of space to safely run and play while still enjoying a calm, relaxing environment indoors. Pets are rarely left alone and are treated like part of the family during their stay. I can crate when needed.

“This was my first time I used Rover for my dogs. I was extremely pleased with the care and communication that Jenika provided my girls while I was away for the holidays. She made the whole experience reassuringly being so far from home. My dogs seem to really love to see Jenika and she was really great with them and would send detailed visits and photos. I could see from my camera’s the girls were having a great time. I would definitely book with Jenika again or refer her.”

I am not formally trained but will adhere to training guidelines if asked so that your pet doesn’t develop bad habits while under my care. That leaves me the other days of the week available for Care an eager to have a furry friend to play with. I have a 16 year-old cat who is very social and gets along well with both cats and dogs. I have a fenced in yard to play in. I will adhere to your training guidelines in order to maintain healthy habits in your pet. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always helped care for family pets, including feeding, walking, bathing, and giving them lots of attention and love. I’ve also pet sat for my cousin’s dog and cat, where I was responsible for their daily routines, walks, feeding, and making sure they felt comfortable while their owner was away. I’m very patient, attentive, and understand how important it is to follow a pet’s routine and make them feel safe in a new environment. I’m comfortable with different dog sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always make sure pets get the care, exercise, and affection they need. I have a flexible schedule (work remotely) and can be available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting throughout the week. I’m especially available during afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I’m reliable, responsive, and happy to work with your pet’s specific routine and needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow owner instructions closely and make sure pets feel secure and cared for in their own home. I’m attentive on walks, aware of my surroundings, and experienced navigating busy NYC streets safely with dogs. I’ll treat your home and pet with the same care and respect as my own.

About: I can't remember a time I didn't have a pet, since childhood. My childhood dog's name was Wallstreet and our cat was Clara. My dog Leia is my first dog as an independent adult. I've had her for 10 years. I started a cleaning business since 2019 and my clientele grew from word of mouth from people I would house sit and pet sit for since 2016. During that time I also cared for a woman with dementia for two years, checking on her twice a day, cleaning, going on outings, and giving meds. I still have my cleaning business and am looking for a new side hustle to supplement my income. I love animals and people and have a lot of free time, so this just made sense! I hope I can help spoil and love on your pets while you can't. I have a completely open and flexible schedule. The only things I do on a regular basis are some zoom calls at 7 pm early in the week and a couple outings/errands a week for an hour or two. In my home, dogs would be walked around the beautiful hills and scenery in my neighborhood. I don't have a fenced in yard. Cats and dogs would have full reign of the apartment. Animals are allowed on furniture. Actually, I am lucky they share the couch with me.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - New Berlin

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Pet Sitting in New Berlin is $15 per visit as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $15 and $28 per visit. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 3,053 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across New Berlin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Berlin. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
