We couldn’t ask for a better cat sitter! Lillie is incredibly communicative and always sends the most thoughtful, funny, and sweet updates — which means so much when you’re away and missing your kitties! She gives them tons of love, playtime, and attention. She’s also really attentive and quick to notice any changes in behavior or eating/drinking habits, which we really appreciate. We always feel completely at ease knowing our cats are in Lillie’s care!

About: As an experienced and long time foster, I have cared for dogs in my home with varying needs and personalities. I provide lots of affection, as well as necessary structure, to ensure a balanced and fun stay for all. I also have a sweet, Boxer-mix Zoe (50 lbs), and a Sato from Puerto Rico named Ellie (15 lbs), who love their foster siblings, and boarding mates & love to play, cuddle, and bring them out of their shell, especially little dogs. I have a few years of experience with rescue dogs, including puppy mill dogs, and street rescues, because of that I'm very confident working with shy, nervous dogs that need a little more TLC. In my personal time, I work as the social media coordinator for a dog rescue, and walk dogs for a friend's dog company.

Quick reply, prompt visit, really good photos. When I got back, everything was in its right place and clean and fair. My dog seemed very happy as well. What more can I ask for? Also she did a tick check, which I didn't even think about for a quick walk. Very much appreciated. Thank you.

About: I have experience with many different dog breeds with different energy and health needs. I give all of the animals under my care the same treatment. I would take care of a super senior cat with the same dedication I would a golden retriever puppy. I'm not squeamish at all either, I'm comfortable dealing with body fluids and administering injection and medications. I have volunteered at multiple animal shelters so i've seen it all! Currently, my only commitments are helping to babysit younger family members, which is flexible schedule and only part-time. I have lots of time to not only take care of your animals, but also play with them and give them good entertainment My own dog is a runner, so I am hypervigilant about making sure animals don't dart out doors. I always make sure I physically see the animal and watch them to make sure they look healthy and happy, I don't just leave food and water and go home. I'm more than happy to give daily updates on animals i'm watching there are owners out of town and take pictures

About: From overnight stays and walks to playtime and cuddles, family and friends have entrusted me with the care of their fur baby. Being able to work with cats and dogs on a daily basis as a veterinary assistant continues to help me accumulate various skills to work with animals of all temperaments and ages! I’m currently working part time so I’d have flexible time to spend with your precious pups whether during the week or during the weekend ! Pups are off if their routine is off so if you have a specific schedule or way of doing things I can assure you I will stick to the game plan.

About: I have been a pet lover & pet care advocate for as long as I can remember! I’ve been caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities my entire life. I’ve taken care of kittens, pups, rescued cats, & cared for other pets like bunnies, fish, & hamsters. Over the years, friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and love their pets like my own which I do with a smile. Whether it’s an energetic puppy who needs to play & burn off some energy, or a sweet senior pup who needs extra patience and care, I adapt to their unique needs and personalities. I’m not just a sitter, i’m an emotional support human & a dependable companion for your pet while you’re away. I believe in consistent communication, lots of love, and making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for. I love & care for them as if they were my own. I’m experienced with administering medications, sticking to routines, and keeping pets calm and comfortable in their own environment. Your comfort, peace of mind, & your pet’s happiness are my top priority! As someone who works from home and takes online classes, my schedule is super flexible; perfect for giving your pet the attention they deserve! I’m home throughout the day, which means your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches. Whether it’s a midday walk, playtime, or just some company while they nap, I can be there when they need it most. My routine allows me to be fully present and responsive to your pet’s needs. I can stick to their feeding and walking schedule, provide consistent companionship, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained while you’re away. Being home all day also makes me a great fit for puppies, senior pets, or dogs who need a little extra TLC. When I care for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow your pet’s routine closely & I make sure they’re comfortable in their space, following their usual schedule for walks, meals, playtime, and cuddles. Whether it’s sticking to their favorite walking route or knowing exactly how they like their food prepared, I pay close attention to every detail you share. I know how much the little details matter! Being in their own environment helps your pet feel more relaxed, and I’m there to make sure they feel loved every step of the way. I’m experienced in administering a variety of medications, including flea and tick ointments, oral chewy meds, and pills; whether they’re hidden in a treat or given directly. I stay calm and patient to make the process as stress-free as possible. I’m comfortable managing multiple pets and giving each one the attention and care they need. I treat your home with the same respect and care I give to your pet: clean, secure, and exactly how you left it. I provide regular updates with messages & photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and in good hands & know everything is going smoothly while you’re away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 331 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Mountain Dale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mountain Dale. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
