“Stephany made us feel reassured that our babies were in good hands. During an unexpected situation, she was quick to act and took care of it without hesitation. Our dogs loved her!”

About: I’ve always taken care of pets sense I can remember. Whether it was walking them bottle fed puppies, and kittens. I still like rescuing animals land finding them safe homes. I’m always helping friends and family with taking care of their pets. With my pets I stick to the same schedule everyday. My dogs are let out thought the day when they please. I always make sure they have everything they need. When taking care of others pets I make sure to respect their boundaries and property. If the pet if in my house, I give the pet their space and slowly let them interact with my pets depending if they’re friendly. I send pictures and keep the owner well informed of how their pet is doing.
About: I've cared for pets of all kinds-from playful puppies and curious cats to guinea pigs and even rabbits. At home, I help care for my mom's basset hound, making sure he's well fed, walked twice a day and kept clean. I know how important it is for pets to feel loved and secure while their owners are away, so I treat every animal like they're part of my own family. I currently work as a firefighter on a paid call basis, which means I often have days with plenty of free time. Id love to spend that time helping families by caring for their pets. Since my schedule is flexible, I can give your dog the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while you're away. Walks with me are more important than just potty breaks-they're time for fresh air, exercise and fun! I give dogs plenty of time to sniff, explore and stretch their legs, usually about 30 minutes per walk. I'm attentive to each pet's needs; making sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for every step of the way.

About: Hello! 🤗 My name is Kristina, I’m 28, and I have been a pet owner since elementary years. Having pets at a young age has allowed me to gain special experience with senior dog care. Becoming a registered nurse has enhanced my care for pets by being more attentive and aware of safety concerns. I am trusted by my friends to care for their pets while they are out of town, and you can trust me to care for your loved ones as well 🐶💕 I work full-time as a registered nurse at the hospital, which is 3 days a week, 12 hours each day (7 am to 7 pm). I do not have a set schedule in terms of the days I work, but on my off days I am flexible throughout the day. I spend as much time as possible with my senior dog on my off days. I am available most nights late at night as my dog’s final potty break and medication is given around 11 pm 🌙 My Rover Calendar does not reflect all of my available times as I am typically available after 7 pm on my work days. Please send me a message as I may be available at the time you need ⏰ I have a senior dog that can keep your fur baby company. Our apartment complex has a dog park and a walking trail that we live right next to. Our apartment’s dog park has a large tree that keeps the entire area shaded on hot days. I also take my dog to Bucklin Park in El Centro and to the large dog park in Imperial (Woof Town) 🌳

“Genesis did an excellent job with our three little dogs. Our dogs felt at ease with her. Genesis sent pictures and videos throughout the day to show how much fun our dogs here having.”

I have 2 big fenced yards and 2 beautiful dogs that can keep you furbaby company, they love interacting, socializing and playing with other puppies, I can easily crate your dogs if needed. My puppies are crate trained so I think interactions and introductions can work easily.
About: Animals have always been my "people" for me lol sounds kinda weird but I always got along with animals way more than people. Since I was a kid my family and I would foster kittens ended up keeping one always had dogs in the house big and small! We loved them all:) but we didn't stop at just your regular fur baby yeah we had rabbits and guinea pigs too but no animal left behind right that's what I've always said so we brought in a few spiders & snakes. The house was just a dream come true I think I would be the best sitter to make your pets home away from home:) I'm currently unemployed so I would have plenty of time for your pup! I am available on weekdays and weekends, holidays if needed & overnights are always available. I have a fenced-in backyard for your fur babies to enjoy! 🐾 Depending on your dog’s needs, whether they’re not very dog-friendly, experience anxiety, or simply need a little extra patience and attention, I’ll make sure to stay on top of their care and do everything I can to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me. ❤️
“Trustworthy, shows up on time, takes time to give human touch and play with my pets, competent, experienced, intelligent, thoughtful. Took care of 2 cats for 18 days, took pics of every encounter, clocked in and out, zero problems and my cats came right up to me when I walked in the door. No pouting, anger or hiding. They were cared fie, and it shows.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
