“Renee was great with our dogs. She came and visited before her first house sitting for us and the dogs acclimated to her quickly. When we got home we could tell our dogs were well taken care of. We will have her house sit again for us.”

“Lauren was amazing. She was very easy to contact both before and during the stay. We have never left my dog ever. She comes with us on trips. However, this was my son's wedding and everyone was staying at an air b&b where there were no dogs allowed. I did not have to worry at all. Lauren sent updates including pictures every day. I am definitely going to call Lauren in the future. I highly recommend her to be your go to sitter.”

About: I don’t have my own pet anymore as he passed from old age. I like to take care of other people’s pets when they are on vacation and care for them with as much love as if they were my own. I will stay at your home if needed , schedule potty break services as well. I work at an elementary school so let out before I go to work and right after, evenings and bed time. I will take care of pets in clients home with care plan that fits the pets needs. Give them plenty of attention and care to take away any worries when you are away.

About: I have been surrounded by animals since I was a kid, my home was my zoo. Based on this, I always had a soft spot for pets and took every chance to take care of friends and family pets. As I grew up, it became my hobby to volunteer in shelters and petsit. I currently am a mom of a Husky, a Shitzu, a cat, and a fish! I would be more than happy to be there for your pet and their needs. Bonus points: As a husky mom, I can be very active. As a cat mom, I know when to give space and let them nap! I work as a Bilingual tutor in a high school in the mornings. However, this summer I will be available 24/7 to attend to your pet's needs. When it comes to my home, I have a big backyard where your pet can have the freedom to run freely and two friendly dogs who are up to play 24/7, however, there's the option of opting for the company if your pet is not comfortable around other pets. When it comes to a client’s home, I'll ensure the safety of the pet and the house, reporting everything in detail and offering extended stay periods.

“Palma was on time, gave all necessary medications, sent photos, and left the house cleaner than she found it! She communicated well. Our babies were in great hands. Thank you Palma!!”

“Molly was fabulous while watching our 3 cats for a week in our home! She was very attentive to their quirky needs and individual personalities. She was very patient while waiting out their shy, adjustment period. She administered meds to 2 of the 3, twice daily, which sometimes isn’t a smooth process! Molly was efficient and resourceful when dealing with our “disappearing” older female who re-surfaced after Molly’s efforts! She followed our instructions and reached out very responsibly when she had questions or concerns. We returned to a perfectly clean, fresh smelling home and 3 very content felines! We very much appreciated her daily updates with pictures! Will definitely hire her again for our next trip! Sincerely, David and Nora”

“Kate was absolutely amazing! We were so worried about our special needs cat while we were out of town but both of our cats and dog loved her!! She was able to get out very shy cat to eat his medicine and play with her in such a short amount of time. We will definitely be using Kate in the future when we’re out of town!”

“This was our first time using Rover and working with Terry. We are so happy and thankful to have found Terry. We were gone for 5 days, and those 5 days were without worry as we knew Teddie was in such good hands. We were blown away with the detailed reports we received numerous times a day. The last day of our trip Teddie became ill and we were notified immediately. Terry took exceptional care of Teddie all day, until we arrived home late that evening. Terry was also willing to bring Teddie to the vet at anytime. We have been home for 2 days now, and Terry has checked in on Teddie numerous times to see how he is feeling. We could not have found a better sitter, thank you again for being such a caring person.”

About: I have lived with a dog in my family for as long as I can remember. I have had three dogs (Cherry and Dutty) and am currently petsitting my sister's dog (Thor) on weekday mornings. Thor used to live with me and my family but my sister has recently moved out. I love being around dogs because they show you so much affection without speaking. I always look forward to taking care of my sister's dog. I walk Thor around my neighborhood so he can get some exercise and lead a long healthy life. My sister went to the vet for a check-up and told her he has lost three pounds since I started walking him more :). I also bathe Thor on a monthly basis. My past dog, Dutty, was a smaller dog but I took care of him with the basics such as walking, baths, etc. I was still in my child/adolescent years when Dutty was around. I also have four guinea pigs with two being male (Coconut and Milo) and the other two being female (Peanut and Peanut Jr.). Peanut Jr. is the daughter of Peanut and Milo. Having four guinea pigs is not easy but it has helped tremendously with taking care of dogs. I would say it has made taking care of dogs much easier! I am currently free for most of the week. If you ask for a schedule that I can't attend to, I will let you know. Opening right now are mornings - 10 AM and 2PM -evenings. Every day on a weekday, my sister drops off Thor in the morning at our house. Usually, Thor has already been taken out before my sister drops her off but I take him out if that isn't the case. He is also fed in the morning. Thor seems to be very picky with his food so I have to mix up wet food with his dry food. After this, I leave Thor with my mother so I can feed my guinea pigs and clean their cage. They are in a locked room that Thor can't access for their safety. I try to give Thor as much attention as he likes to cuddle and also be around someone. Even when he is sleeping, he prefers that someone is in the same room with him. Sometimes, I have to watch my nephew for a bit because my mother babysits him while my brother and sister-in-law are at work. Thor is usually happy being around my nephew so it all works out! I make sure Thor isn't rummaging through garbage and pick up anything on the floor that is toxic. Since Thor sheds constantly, I always have to clean the floor to keep the house tidy. I try to walk Thor every three hours and I also would go to my backyard to play with him so he can get some sun.

“Great experience! Patrice was knowledgeable, communicative, and friendly to us and our animals. The house was very well taken care of and our pups happy. Will definitely book again. Highly recommended!”

About: With over 2 decades of hands-on experience, I have taken care of most breeds of dog, many cats, fish, reptiles, and birds as well! I have an older sister who is a veterinarian and she has passed down care tips essential for perfect pet care. I worked in a dog kennel for three years and was in charge of 20+ dogs and cats a day, their feeding schedules, play groups, medications, and decent and basic care such as baths and grooming. Mornings are filled with cuddles, complete feedings, morning walks, and kisses before my partner and I head off to work. While at work, pets are in a climate controlled environment with multiple cameras on at all times. Water is placed in every room, and safe secluded areas can also be provided. Given I have my own pets, their care is my #1 priority. I have cameras with motion sensor notifications allowing me to check in frequently, and do not work far from my home incase an animal needed immediate attention. Pets are always given attention ad soon as the work day is finished, and spending time with them is always a joy!

“We repeatedly ask Karen to care for our toy poodles because we all love her!! We have peace of mind knowing she’s at our home and giving the pups the same love and attention we do! Karen is most highly recommended!!”

“Great experience with Matt! He watched out dog, Stella, for us while we were visiting Mammoth and was super reliable, flexible and very sweet with our dog. Highly recommend Matt if you’re in Mammoth!”

About: I have hands on experience with both young and senior dogs, as well as large and small breeds. I currently care for my own two pups, a playful 2 year old Newfoundland and a sweet 13 year old Shih Tzu. This means I’m well versed in managing very different energy levels, needs, and personalities all under one roof. In addition, I understand the importance of gentle care for seniors, including medication routines, mobility support, and extra patience. At the same time, I can keep up with the energy, training needs, and socialization of younger dogs. Whether your dog is a tiny lap companion or a big, goofy cuddlebug, I provide personalized attention, safety, and love like they’re my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work around 35 hours a week over 6 days, but most of my shifts are only 4–5 hours long, which gives me plenty of time each day to focus on the pets in my care. I usually only have one longer shift a week, up to 9 hours on Saturdays, but I always plan my pet care responsibilities around that in advance to make sure every animal gets the attention, playtime, and care they need. Because I’m used to managing my time between work and my own two dogs (a senior Shih Tzu and a young Newfoundland), I’ve built a routine that allows me to be present, dependable, and flexible when caring for other pets too. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a calm, comfortable environment that keeps them feeling safe and secure in their own space. Whether it’s a dog, cat, or another companion animal, I stick closely to their usual routine feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and anything else they need to stay happy and healthy. I adapt to each pet’s personality, whether that means quiet company, energetic play, or extra patience and care for seniors or shy animals. I also treat your home with respect keeping things clean, following your instructions, and making sure everything is just as you left it. My goal is simple: to make your pets feel cared for, loved, and stress free while you're away.

About: I’ve cared for a variety of pets over the years—from cuddly lap cats to energetic pups. I’m reliable, gentle, and always focused on keeping pets happy. I’m currently working part-time while going to Eastern State University so I’m pretty flexible! I’m primarily looking to work Mondays, anytime after 12 pm and Fridays. :) Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I create a calm, loving environment where pets feel secure and cared for. You can trust me to treat your furry family members like my own, ensuring peace of mind while you’re away.

Montville Center pet parents share their Rover experiences
Francis is the best pet and house sitter we've EVER had! She treated our home as we would have done, and well cared for my multitude of indoor and outdoor plants. We have skittish Italian Greyhounds, yet she won them over with kindness, patience and lots of love. Her photos to us of our "kids" while we were gone were priceless. I can't recommend Francis enough!
