“Nathan was wonderful when coming to our home to care for our cat and dog while we were away. He was communicative and kind, and even vacuumed our place before we got back 😭 would recommend!”

About: Hi! For many years, I was a Fear Free Certified veterinary assistant in Charlottesville, VA. I also have experience as a dog kennel manager, farm assistant & animal rescue volunteer/advocate. During my 10 years of petsitting work, i’ve learned how to make your pets as stress free as possible while your away. Petsitting is my full time job! It is easy for both myself & my clients to have such flexibility. I schedule my days off based off of my client’s bookings. I have studied animal medicine & behavior for. I am a Fear Free certified veterinary assistant. While sitting in your home, I stick to your pets’ schedule but am also happy to take your pets on additional fun activities when requested.

About: I’ve been around various animals and cared for (most) of them all of my life - dogs, cats, chickens, fish, birds, hamsters, reptiles (more recently), etc. I’ve pet sat for people in the past. I also own my own Great Pyrenees who I got from a shelter. I’ve also taught him a variety of tricks (most recent as of writing this being ‘spin’). I work as a counselor ‘part time’ and I’m currently looking for another job for financial reasons, but besides this I can be quite flexible. I’m typically busy around noon at times, but I primarily work in the evening/early night. I have no issues with doing walks or drop ins when I’m able to, whether it’s earlier in the afternoon or early evening. I also have no issues walking/drop ins at night. I have no issues doing almost anything that is asked of me - feeding/water, walking, waste disposal, etc. I’m also familiar with giving pills to dogs as my GP is medicated himself. But I have trained him to open his mouth for me and to swallow his pills.

About: I've been taking care of dogs and cats for friends and neighbors for around three years now. My family has two cats and two dogs that I've helped care for and train since they were young. I also have experience with older animals and their needs since one of my dogs and one of my cats are twelve. I currently don't have any other summer employment, so my schedule is open. I am available mornings, afternoons and late evenings every day of the week and weekends, just not for overnight care. I can stop by throughout the day to feed, play with, and let out animals. I can also do short or long walks with dogs or even cats!

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life. I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. My girls Piper, Ella and Shelby are my world. I love these dogs like they are children. They are spoiled I will admit. I also have taken care of my friends dogs for years while they have been out of town and my house as "Aunt Paige's Doggie Camp" All my dogs I have brought up from puppies. I have house trained them, crate trained them and trained them on the invisible fence for the yard. They always get lots of love and have lots of toys to play with, both inside and outside. I work from home, so I'm always here to take them out and take care of them. My dogs are always outside when it's not too hot or the weather is bad. I live on a quite street which ends in a cul-da-sak. So I will walk them at least 2 times a day The most important thing is they must get along with other dogs. I have a invisible fence in my yard and can certainly put your dog on it if they are trained on one. Otherwise I will go out with them and walk them. If they are well trained and can be lose a return on command they can play in the yard with my girls.

About: I have 3 dogs of my own that I’ve raised all from puppies! I’ve had a lot of experience with pet sitting from small to larger breeds! I currently work at a dog boarding place so I have lots of experience. Im currently working a part time job and my hours differ week to week. Some days it’s 7 am- 12:00 pm and other days it’ll be from 9 am - 4:30 pm! I have 3 fur babies at home so I’m mostly looking for pet sitting at clients homes! Just more of a safety thing for all the pups!

“Mary Alice took wonderful care of my fur baby. She asked good questions and met my pup prior to the first visit to make sure that she was completely prepared. She was generous with her time and attention, and gave frequent updates so I knew that my pet was doing well. I highly recommend Mary Alice!”

“Leaving our animals is always the most stressful part of a vacation, but we felt at ease knowing that Jocelyn was taking card of everything. She sent lots of photos and updates, responds quickly to any messages, and is always willing to help with anything that comes up. She is awesome!!”

About: I started my journey with dogs 4 years ago and have not looked back enjoying every moment since. I am a certified trainer who loves improving the relationship between human and dog. We have a dog yard plus 5 acres. All dogs stay in our extra bedroom, which is now considered the dog room. I personally have two dogs, a cattle dog and a husky mix. They are both very social with all other dogs. We like to have a good time here but I keep a very safe environment for the dogs, no fighting or picking on one another. NO DOG IS TURNED AWAY. If you think your dog is aggressive, I can and will evaluate them so that if possible, we will get them socializing with their own kind and having a great time. Thanks, have a good day! I train dogs for a living so I stay at my house 7 days a week besides when I work with clients and those lessons tend to run about an hour but no more than 2 hours! I have 9 years experience running my own kennel and have two dogs with a large fence so there will be no boredom here! I do prefer to kennel dogs for the night but as we get comfortable with each other they will start to earn more freedom! Pet care is my full time job and i wouldn’t have it any other way, it has been a blessing. I hope I can help make your schedule less stressful! While you’re away, let your dogs play! I have a five foot fenced in dog yard specifically for dogs. We also have another 5 acres that we will walk all client dogs on during their stay with us.-

About: I have had my own dogs since I was a little girl. We have bred pups. We have shown pups. We are ABKC and UKC registered for our dogs and just love loving our furry family members. I would love nothing more than to make time to help others travel while they have confidence that the animals are safe and loved on! I have a fenced in back yard and can kennel. I am open to options if assisting in anyway for families to be confident that the fur babies are cared for.

“Lindsey has a been an amazing sitter for my and my parents' dogs. She is kind, playful, and loving with the pups. She always keeps us up-to-date with texts and pictures so there's never any worry how our dogs are doing while we're away. She treats them with the same love and respect as she would her own dog. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

She's watched our pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and chickens) and I've been very happy with her availability, her willingness to ask questions to make sure our pets got the care we wanted, and I didn't worry for a moment that our pets weren't getting competent, loving care. Not to mention that they're always happy to see her! :-)”
