About: I am a former vet tech that still has a passion for animals. I just recently decided to stay at home with my babies, and to take care of stuff around the house. So with that being said, I am available pretty much anytime for in home boarding, drop in visits, walks, bathing, and any other services that may be needed. My house is open to having visitors stay with me. We live on 30 acres, with an acre completely fenced in. We also have a dog run area that is fenced in our homestead as well. I worked in the vet field for roughly 5 years and loved every second of it. I have 5 cats and 5 dogs. The cats have their own room, so they don’t mix with the dogs. I also have 2 young kids who absolutely adore all animals. I am able to give medications, baths, nail trims, and any other special care that may be needed. I treat all animals as if they were my own. I have toys and bones all throughout the house. There are dog beds and blankets everywhere for them to lay on. I even have blankets on the furniture for them to get up and lay on. I have a fenced in yard where they can run and play. I love animals and love to spend time with them. I do require our furry kids to be up to date on vaccines like Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella. I am pretty much home all day, so I am available all day to take care of any and all animals. If I do have to leave, it is for a short time, and I make sure to let them potty before I leave and as soon as I get home. I care for pets as if they are my own. I treat them like I treat my own animals. I make sure that they have everything they need and then try to give extra. Spend extra time, give extra attention, more snuggles, etc

About: This is my full time job. I've taken care of most dog breeds and cats since I was young. I also come from a family with a small farm with cows, donkeys, and goats as well. We also have 6 dogs on the ranch. Animals have always been a passion of mine. I am also currently taking classes on pet training to further my education and understanding of animals. I offer free training until graduation along with booking! I am very organized and like to stay on top of priorities. I build my schedule so that each pet gets dedicated one‑on‑one time, and I always arrive within the agreed‑upon window. My routine is structured enough to stay reliable, but flexible enough to adjust to your pet’s needs. I’m very organized and make sure every pet receives focused, reliable care. Your pet’s comfort is always my priority, and I can adjust visit styles as needed.

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs through family and friends, including puppies only a few months old, adult dogs, and senior dogs. About: Dogs have been a central part of my life since I was 7 years old. I grew up caring for both Cocker Spaniels and German Shepherds, so I know what it takes to care for energetic, intelligent, and strong-willed dogs! I have also helped a few shelters back in Russia so I'm comfortable managing different temperaments, and I tailor my care to fit each dog’s needs. I treat every dog like they’re part of my pack, and my goal is always to make your pup feel safe, seen, and loved while you're away. I'm pretty flexible right now as my only responsibility is my school so whether it's daily drop-ins, evening walks, or weekend sitting, I’ll make sure your pup gets the attention and care they need. If you need morning times just message me and we can work something out. In your home, I aim to keep your dog’s routine consistent and stress free. I’m respectful of your space and make sure your pet gets personalized care: walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship.

About: I am a nature lover! I enjoy taking my dogs, Rosemary & Kuzca, on exciting hikes and engaging adventures. We love visiting the river, the dog park, hitting nature trails around town, and quality play time at home. I also love cuddling up with my cat, Bee, when she will let me! I have always loved animals and wanted animal companions since I was a child. From dogs & cats to birds to snakes, the list of animals I’ve had under my care goes on. One thing that sets me apart is my desire to provide exquisite care for my furry/scaly/feathered friends. Every animal deserves to live a high quality life and it brings me so much joy to provide them with that. I continuously grow as a pet parent. I’m always researching new ways to improve my care techniques by staying up to date on things like nutrition, stimulation, and training. I work from home and decide my own schedule so I have a lot of flexibility in how I want to shape my day. This makes it so convenient for taking care of fur babies! We have a fenced yard that is perfect for a short zoomie sesh. Plus we have a gated dog park in our community that we frequent. I always try and incorporate as much outside time as possible.

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up around pets and have also had a cat of my own, so I understand how different each pet’s personality and needs can be. I’ve cared for friends’ and family members’ pets over the years and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive, whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care As a college student taking my courses online, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve. I’m available for early mornings, evenings, daytime visits, and overnight stays. I provide in-home care so your pet can stay comfortable in their own space. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep their routine consistent, maintain a clean environment, and keep you updated so you can feel confident while you’re away. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own home. I follow their usual routine and all instructions provided, including feeding, walks, medications, and playtime. About: I’d set myself apart by focusing on personalized care and attention. Here’s what would make me stand out: Reliable & Attentive: I’d follow each pet’s routine closely to keep them comfortable. Experience with Different Needs: Whether it’s energetic puppies needing training reinforcement or senior dogs requiring extra care, I’d tailor my approach. Enrichment & Play: I wouldn’t just watch pets—I’d engage them with games, walks, and mental stimulation. Strong Communication: Regular updates, photos, and check-ins so owners feel at ease. Calm & Patient Approach: Especially helpful for anxious or rescue pets. Basic Training Reinforcement: If the owner is working on commands or house manners, I’d help maintain consistency. While going to school full time, I have opening hours pretty much all day. It aligns with my schedule at anytime of the day, while I am going to school. My approach is depending on whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home. In My Home Provide a safe, pet-friendly environment with space to play and rest. Follow feeding schedules and dietary needs. Daily walks, playtime, and enrichment activities. Supervise interactions with other pets (if any). Maintain a clean and comfortable space for them. In a Client’s Home Follow the owner’s routine to keep the pet comfortable. Feed, water, and administer any necessary medication. Take dogs for walks and provide playtime. Clean up after them (litter boxes, accidents, etc.). Provide companionship to reduce stress from their owner’s absence. Send updates and pictures to the owner.

About: Hi, I'm Dani! I've always believed the world is a little softer because animals are in it. I've spent years caring for pets of every kind through professional pet sitting and my background in veterinary medicine, and somewhere along the way, I realized there isn't much that makes me happier than earning an animal's trust. Whether they're the fearless adventurer who can't wait for a walk, the anxious soul who needs someone patient beside them, or the senior whose favorite hobby is finding the warmest patch of sunlight, I love getting to know them exactly as they are. As a professional photographer by trade, I tend to notice the little things. The happy dance before dinner. The goofy grin after a game of fetch. The slow blink from a cat who's finally decided you're worthy of their friendship. So don't be surprised if your updates include a few frame-worthy portraits along the way. I can't help myself. My priority is never just checking off a to-do list. It's preserving your pet's routine, respecting their personality, and making sure they feel safe, enriched, and genuinely loved until you're home again. Whether that means long walks, muddy adventures, enrichment games, medication schedules, or simply sharing a quiet afternoon on the couch, I'll meet them where they are. I know what it feels like to leave a piece of your heart in someone else's hands. That's exactly why I care the way I do. My hope is simple: that when you walk back through your front door, your pet is happy, your home is just as you left it, and you never once had to wonder if they were being cared for. I'd be honored to love your best friend like one of my own. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule because I intentionally plan my calendar well in advance. I balance several freelance roles, so staying organized is second nature to me. I keep my Rover calendar updated regularly, which means if my profile shows that I'm available, you can trust that I've set aside the time to give your pet the attention and care they deserve. My home is intentionally dog-friendly, with a spacious, securely fenced backyard that's perfect for zoomies, exploring, and soaking up the sunshine. We have a doggie door for easy outdoor access, bubble windows built into the fence for the cutest neighborhood watch imaginable, and a wonderful neighborhood filled with peaceful walking trails for safe daily adventures. Even my furniture is pet friendly because I believe dogs should feel at home, not like they're tiptoeing around someone else's. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I strive to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise preferences, and any house rules you've established because I know those familiar routines help pets feel safe, comfortable, and confident while you're away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Monthalia. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Monthalia after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
