About: I have had pets my entire life and come from a family of animal lovers. I currently share my home with 6 rescued pets - a dog, 4 cats, and a bunny. I know what a big deal it is to find a trustworthy person to come into your home when you're not there and care for your precious pets. I have many years of experience of caring for dogs and cats. I am a mature and responsible caregiver and I am mindful of the details. I can give medication if needed. I am available for walking your dogs, tiring them out during the day while you're at work, letting them out for potty breaks, scooping litter boxes, brushing, play, petting and snuggling. Reach out to schedule a Meet and Greet to see if we're a good fit for each other. Currently I have a flexible schedule and am readily available for dog walking or drop in visits with all of your furry family. As someone who loves to travel and also has a lot of pets, I understand the value of feeling at ease whenever you are away from home knowing that your pets are being loved and cared for. Unfortunately I cannot board pets in my home because of my dog and skiddish kitties but I am available to visit and care for them in your home.
“Could not have asked for a better dog and house sitter! Jill kept me updated and sent photos every day. She took great care of my plants too! Would definitely recommend Jill!”

“Ashley stepped in to watch Luna and Arrow while I had to be away for a week. It was such a better experience for the dogs to be in their own house and they were well cared for and happy when I got home :)”

About: I cat sit for my neighbor for long periods of time when she goes away. I’ve been an animal owner since the age of 3. Currently I’m in school for nursing but don’t have classes Monday and Wednesday as well as the weekend. Those days I’m hoping to spend time with pets. Caring for pets in my home I will have them on a leash if outside just in case they like to run away. At a clients home I’ll follow the directions to ensure perfect pet care.
“I cannot recommend Blythe enough! She stayed at my home to watch my high-energy dog, and she handled him like an absolute pro. He can be a handful, but Blythe kept him exercised, entertained, and totally comfortable the entire time. She sent regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I came home to a happy and tired pup! If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring—book Blythe. She went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful to have found her!”

“Jackie is fantastic! She goes above and beyond to take care of our pup. He needed some special attention this weekend due to an illness. She made sure he got everything he needed - extra meds, attention, special diet, etc. We knew he was in good hands.”
About: I have taken care of animals since I can remember! I have a bunny and 2 cats and I give them a lot of attention and love which would make me a good sitter for your fur baby! I have also taken care of many different breeds of dogs and love them all! I’m currently working full time Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. I am able to stop by on my lunch or after work. My lunch break is usually about 30 minutes and I am currently living in Milton so to stop by on lunch break can be Milton area only. At home, I have a bunny and she roams around during the day. I will usually pen her if I am not home so she doesn’t get hurt. I also play with her as much as I can! I have 4 indoor cats and never leave the door open. When I dog sit for clients, I keep them on a leash on walks no matter what, unless they are comfortable with me

About: Hello! I have provided for a variety of animals, from dogs and cats, to fish, reptiles, and axolotl‘s! I’ve had experience with giving animals medications, specifically insulin if required, and I am ready for any requests that would make you and your pets feel more comfortable. High energy pets are no issue for me, and i’d love to be able to work with them and get them outside for some exercise. Given the opportunity, i’d be excited to meet you and your pets, and to give them the care they deserve! I am currently working full time from 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday, and occasionally Saturday mornings. Because of this, I am only comfortable with house-sitting animals that are comfortable making it throughout the 8 hour workday without being outside. Of course, i’d be there up until I leave for work, and again immediately when I get off. Weeknights and the weekends are free for me, and i’d love any chance to meet some new furry faces, and treat them as if they were my own! I have two kitties of my own at home, so I am unable to accommodate pets there, but I’d love to meet your pet in your home where they are comfortable! I am extremely detail oriented, so if your pet requires specific instructions, I’d be more than happy to accommodate that! Your house will be in even better condition than you left it, with a happy furry friend waiting for you! If you’d like, i’d also love to send photos of your pet(s) along with any updates while away so you can see how they are doing!

“Carley has watched our little pup numerous times and we always come home to a happy pup and she takes great care of our home while we’re away. She is fantastic with communication and always keeps me up to date.”

“If you looking for a great sitter look no further! Whitney is awesome! She took care of our 2 fur babies over a course of a week and she was great. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Montandon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Montandon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Montandon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
