“Thankful I found Courtney to take care of my dogs. I had a previous dog sitter cancel on me last minute and Courtney was able to save the day help me as soon as she could. Very nice, reliable and trustworthy. I will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future.”

About: I have spent my whole life around animals—dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, snakes, and more! I even bottle-fed a rabbit from birth. I’m comfortable caring for animals of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and attention. I’m very attentive to each pet’s individual needs and love making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work part-time at a restaurant in the mornings only once or twice a week, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m able to work around your pet’s needs and make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and time. I’m also happy to communicate ahead of time to make sure my availability works well with your schedule! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I will always follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I’m respectful of your home and will make sure your pets are safe, comfortable, and never left without the care they need. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and pictures so you can feel confident that your pets are happy and well cared for!
“I’m very happy I found Carmen on Rover. I know my dog Arena loves people and being spoiled, but she’s usually very nervous around new people at first. Carmen has been incredibly patient, giving Arena the time and space she needs to feel safe and get comfortable. I truly appreciate how great she’s been during this first week, checking in on Arena while I’m at work. I fully trust her to take my pup on walks and care for her.”

About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats since I was 10. I am very used to taking care of pets. I enjoy walks with pups and am very comfortable with younger and older dogs or dogs with special needs 🩷 I have a very flexible part time schedule and am looking to take on more work! I live in the middle of High Point and close to everything making my travel pretty flexible. I care for any animal with love and respect. My patience with animals and children is very high. My passion is taking care of something other than myself.
“Elizabeth was great! She took great care of my babies(cats). Lucy was always happy to see her, Biggie was nervous but came around, and she even got pics of my 2 shy girls Emme and Ruby.”

About: I do have some training in my pocket but definitely not a professional I’ve trained all of my dogs that I’ve had they did great I am available whenever I am needed on sundays I’ll be at church but after that I’m free I have my own car so I’m reliable I can care for pets in the clients home how ever they need me to I follow instructions very well and will do what I am needed to do or asked to do
“Valerie took care of my 3 cats while I was out of town. When I initially met her, she was great!! I knew that they’d be well taken care of. She was very informative and professional. About: I have been pet sitting since I was a teenager and now have two dogs and one cat. Along with taking care of my common pets, I have chicken-sat and helped take care of our family friends’ horses. I love animals and love getting to help families out by keeping their peace of mind while they are away. I am currently working part-time on a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of wiggle room to make sure your pet is well taken care of. Pet care is a top priority so I can help connect with families to help them function in the pace that they are running. With top-notch care, I have a natural instinct to know when an animal is acting differently. I am experienced in giving animals medicine and specific dosages as well.

She even was able to adapt my dogs changing needs. AND she was able to work well with Gus, my little terrier that is super high energy and hard to get to know. I highly recommend her.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 840 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Misenheimer. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Misenheimer. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
