“Sandra was fantastic and such a delight to work with. She kept me updated with my pup’s activities and treated him like he was her own. We greatly appreciate the care and love she poured into our pup while we were away especially for being the first visit.”
“I had an outstanding experience with Robert! He was very attentive, caring and went above and beyond in taking care of my dog Maggie. He provided regular updates and it gave me complete peace of mind. Robert’s home and atmosphere is perfect for taking care of animals. Very safe and loving environment. I will absolutely be using Robert’s services permanently in the future! Thank you again Robert for such a wonderful experience for Maggie and I! We will be seeing you again very soon!❤️”
“She saved by taking a very late booking due to a previous cancellation. Even went so far as to meet us somewhere as we were towing a huge camper. Would not hesitate to use again.”
“We are so impressed with Kathryn and so grateful for her taking great care of our babies for the weekend!! She was attentive and caring, and our boys had such a great time playing in her yard. We will definitely be utilizing her services again in the future and would recommend her to anyone needing their dogs cared for!!”
“Maggie is sweet! Our dog seemed to have a great time with her, her dog, and cats. Her dog took a bit of time to warm up to our dog, but it seemed they became good friends shortly thereafter.”
“Our dog was well cared for by Jason and his family for almost a week. We received daily updates and pictures of our dog while she was boarding. It was great to have those updates to let us know how she was doing. We highly recommend Jason and his family to take good care of your beloved pet. We will use their services again.”
“This was the first time we had our dogs board at a Rover sitter's house. Allison was great! We got regular updates about all of the fun they were having. She gave us great piece of mind, and we will definitely book with her in the future.”
“Craig and Emma were fantastic with our pups! They took photos the entire time and gave us great updates. I could tell they were well taken care of. Thank you!! You all will be our go-to from now on!”
About: Hi, I’m Kaitlyn! I’ve always loved animals, and pet sitting is the perfect way for me to earn a little extra while settling into my new full-time job. I know how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your furry family members, and I’d love to be that person for you! Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, or companionship, I’ll make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ve had experience caring for pets of different sizes and personalities, and I understand every animal has their own needs and routine. Let’s connect—I’d love to meet your pet and provide the care they deserve! I work a full-time job at UK and im just settling in, so if you have a furbaby that's in need of caring for because of a busy summer schedule. Book with me and dont send them to a kennel or dog day care. I have a strict no dog policy at my house as I live at home rn and my parents have 3 huskies and its chaotic as is. Will up date if changes.
“Brandan kept our pitbull, Ruger, for a weekend and we were very pleased. We originally did a meet and greet to see if we felt like this was a good choice for Ruger. Brandan was very thorough in asking questions about Ruger ... his habits, care, and our preferences which put us at ease. Drop off was simple. Communication was great. He was quick to respond and even included a pic of our boy during his stay. We were very comfortable leaving Ruger with Brandan and will definitely use him again.”
“Desha took care of our 2 dogs for a couple of days while out of town and we are so thankful of the great care she provided! She was so communicative and sent photos of the happy pups at bedtime and morning. Her cute kids also gave the dogs a lot of affection and the dogs loved that! I hope to book with Desha again in the future!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Miracle home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Miracle.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Miracle sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
