“Emily worked at a daycare center when we had a young dog (Rainbow) that needed to be socialized. Rainy absolutely loved going there and it always made us feel comfortable when Emily would greet her - always by name - and at the end of the day, would give us a “report” on her day; things she did correctly OR behaviors that might cause issues with other dogs. I know they were very careful which dogs to let out together - if there was an aggressive dog, they would separate it from the rest but seemed to not blame that dog. Emily has an extremely sunny and engaging attitude, and we miss her.”

About: My name is Ashley, I’m 26 years old and am a school social worker. I recently moved to the Winona area. I have grown up with dogs my whole life and have my own dog who is 2. I have also house and dog sat for multiple dogs. I’ve had dogs in my family ever since I could remember and I get along with them great. I love dogs, and this would be an ideal job for me. I currently work full-time in a high school. I work a regular schedule so my availability shouldn’t change much besides opening up more in the summer. I have a friendly dog who loves playing with other dogs. I have room and space to spread out and am very active, so I enjoy walking and being outside.

“Jessica is one of the best people I know. She has adopted several rescue dogs, through which she has learned how to adapt to different (sometimes extreme) temperaments and needs. Even the most difficult dogs see her as an Alpha; she could literally infiltrate a wolf pack and leave covered in wet kisses and with half a deer carcass. She has taken care of my animals (two dogs, two cats, and a bunny) on a few occasions over the past couple of years and she is the first person I reach out to when I need someone. She is reliable, trustworthy, and always makes sure my animals are properly fed, loved, and cared for, and she even cleans up all the poop in my fenced backyard before I get home (which is extremely rare, btw… not sure why some people say they are great pet sitters if they don’t pick up poop). Long story short, Jessica will not disappoint.”
