“Shelley was great and so nice. In addition to taking great care of my 2 cats she took care of my chickens too. She offered to water my house plants while I was gone. Will definitely use her again”

“✨ 5+ STARS ✨I have much gratitude for Marcy. I had a last minute request for a 2-week job, and she handled it flawlessly and promptly. And this was my very first experience utilizing Marcy’s services. She’s professional, reliable, and clearly adores the furbabies! I’ll definitely contact Marcy for future needs!”

“Isis was great with our old and big girl! Our dog has a hard time with our couple of steps and Isis came over to help take her out and in while we were away. She was kind and patient and did what we needed. We are very happy we booked her and will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Marie was a Godsend! I have never left my 2 cats but wanted to attend a wedding in Mexico. From the moment I met Marie, I knew my fur babies would be in good hands. She sent me pics twice a day and let me know how my girls were doing. Not only do I have a cat sitter, I have a new friend as well :) Marie is loving and responsible and I highly recommend her!!”

“Cassie did an absolutely outstanding job with our two bunny boys. We were away for an overseas trip, but her attention to detail and care kept us worry-free! About: Hi, I’m Aaliyah! You can look me up on Google Aaliyah’s Dobies and check out my reviews😉 Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up raising and showing rabbits and chickens through 4-H and have experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, small mammals, and farm animals. You name it, I either have it or love it. I am a dog breeder and have hands-on experience caring for newborn puppies, senior pets, and animals with special needs. I’ve also interned at veterinary offices, volunteered at animal shelters, and helped rescue, foster, and socialize kittens for adoption. In addition to caring for healthy pets, I have extensive experience with orphaned, injured, and medically fragile animals. My background includes caring for bottle babies, syringe feeding, tube feeding, administering subcutaneous fluids, deworming, parasite treatment, basic wound care, and supporting animals through illness and recovery. I have also worked with feral kittens, helping them learn to trust people and transition into loving homes. I work from home, which allows me to provide plenty of supervision, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a slower pace, I will tailor their care to their individual needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I treat every animal as if they were my own and strive to provide a stress-free experience while you’re away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I am committed to providing compassionate, reliable care that gives owners peace of mind. BOARDING REQUIREMENTS Before booking, I ask that all dogs be up-to-date on their vaccines and current on flea and tick prevention. Please make sure your dog’s Rover profile is fully completed so I can provide the best care possible. For everyone’s safety, I only accept dogs that are friendly and do well around other dogs. If your dog is selective, reactive, or has shown aggression toward other animals, my home may not be the best fit. For your dog’s stay, please bring their food, vaccination records, and any medications they may need along with clear instructions. If your dog requires a crate for sleeping or when left alone, please bring one, as I do not currently provide crates. You’re welcome to bring a favorite bed or blanket to help your dog feel more at home, although I have plenty of beds and blankets available. You do not need to bring bowls unless your dog uses a slow feeder or a special bowl. I recommend leaving favorite toys or valuable items at home. Dogs love to play, and toys can sometimes get worn out or misplaced. Don’t worry though—I have plenty of toys and enrichment activities to keep everyone entertained! My goal is to make your dog’s stay as safe, comfortable, and fun as possible while giving you peace of mind when you’re away. I work from home, which allows me to provide flexible scheduling, frequent potty breaks, regular supervision, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Because I am home most of the time, pets receive companionship, exercise, and care tailored to their individual needs and routines. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal as if they were my own and take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special needs. I provide a calm, loving environment with plenty of supervision, enrichment, exercise, and affection while maintaining the safety standards and instructions provided by each owner. If your pet has temperamental issues I’m happy to crate and rotate so they have individual time and I also have a building for boarding.
About: I love all animals, right now I only take care of my own two guinea pigs but I wish I had a dog or cat to take care of! I used to babysit two cats and one of them had diabetes so I know how to do that if your pets need at home shots! I am always off work Wednesdays but there are a few days I work every other week and can take care of of your pets mostly in the morning on those days but Wednesdays is all day if needed! I will play with them, I will make sure they get the right amount of exercise, I will make sure they are fed when needed and give them extra cuddles too!
“I was very skeptical to hire outside of family and friends but am so happy I found Shane! Shane scheduled a meet and greet with me at my home to become familiar with my cats and their needs. A week leading up to my trip, he confirmed we were still scheduled to need his assistance, and provided daily updates/pictures while we were away. I cannot recommend Shane enough and happy I've found a trusted pet sitter in my absence. Thank you, Shane!”
About: I’ve cared for a variety of dogs and cats over the last 10 years. I have also always had dogs of my own; currently have 3 beautiful girls. I love all pets, small to big and young to old. Athletic enough for young ones’ energy and gentle enough for seniors’ care. I have a background in pet health care and have also worked at a kennel in the past. Taking care of your animals wouldn’t even be a service to me; my love for them makes it easy. I work full time, but depending on location would be able to do walks or drop-in visits on my lunch breaks. As well as before or after work, if needed. I am available for house sitting pretty much any day of the week with at least 1-day notice. I have adequate knowledge on when a dog may be feeling stressed or threatened and know how to handle the situation accordingly. I can crate your dogs, if required. I do my absolute best to avoid distractions while on walks.
“Elli did a great job checking on Lulu during my vacation. I enjoyed receiving photos of Lulu playing with Elli and getting her tuna treat! It made me less worried about leaving her for the first time! I will use Elli again for certain!”

Rest assured your furry one is in great hands at all hours of the day, and always ready for a walk, a catch, or a potty break! I have crates, leashes, and training treats at the ready! About: Animals have been a constant in my life, and over the years I've owned dogs, cats, rats, mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, and even hatched eggs via an incubator. That kind of variety builds real hands-on experience, a calm comfort around all breeds and temperaments, and a deep respect for the responsibility of caring for another living thing. What animals want most is attention, and that's something I have no shortage of. Your pet won't just be watched — they'll be engaged, cared for, and treated like family. Whether it's a walk, a feeding, or house sitting, you can count on me to show up and give your pet exactly what they need. My schedule is flexible and I can almost always make time — just reach out ahead of time. I'll follow any special instructions, respect off-limit rooms, and stick to whatever routine works best for your pet. My schedules pretty much open I could always make time if need be. As long as it's scheduled ahead of time my schedule is opened. I would care for their pets just as they would. Any special instructions of course I would follow. Any rooms that are off limits, limit the outside time etc
About: I became a dog sitter when my Husband was working in the Military. His friends and workers would all need to go see family and could not always take their animals. So I became known as their extra Pet mommy. Even after my Husband got out of the ARMY, We saw a old comrade I sat for, and they said their dog doesn't like their new sitter. She was sad I left. We saw them in EPCOT of all places. It was nice to know they liked me. I am available all day to come and walk or play, or even just sit with your puppies or kitties. I have my own transportation and am reliable. I never leave the pet alone. we play and cuddle a lot. I take care of their area and their meds if needed as well. I am currently working part time so I will have time to play and cuddle with your pets all the time. It will be my pleasure. I am always watching to make sure they don't get into something they shouldn't be eating or playing with. I love to take walks and play.
“Tommi did a great job with JuJu. She went beyond what was expected of her due to some circumstances that came up and it was very appreciated! It meant the world to me to know JuJu’s comfort and well-being were so important to her. She also sent me photos and videos and followed instructions really well! Would definitely hire again.”

“Sarah has been taking wonderful care of our rescue! Our guy has been working through separation anxiety and, thanks to Sarah’s drop-ins, he’s gaining confidence. ❤️ She has been so patient with him! Highly recommend”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 215 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Minerva. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Minerva. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
