When you return from your trip and Kate brings your pup back from boarding her and the dog spends the first 20 minutes crying by the front door, you know you chose the right sitter!

Daniel and his family were great with Kallie. She was able to get a lot of play time in to tire her out for our long drive home. Daniel was very friendly and I'm glad he was able to care for Kallie.

Gabrielle was amazing with our Rocky boy! She made sure to keep us updated, sent videos and pictures, which helped when we were missing our boy! From the looks of it had so much fun there playing with all of the other pups and was so happy when I picked him up. I can tell he was well taken care of and I will definitely be using her services again in the future! Thanks again Gabrielle!

About: I grew up always being with dogs, and many other animals. Along with walking, running, or just playing with your dog(s) I can also help with training. I have experience with administering medications and am comfortable doing so. As an animal care professional I have 15 years of experience with animals. Not only can I care for your dog, but I can also care for your cats, birds, & fish. I can help with house training and basic behavior training for your pup. All sorts of pets are fun to care for! I am usually available in the evenings and early mornings. I can also house-sit any night of the week. Let me help you keep your pup, or other pet, at its happiest! Have a good day! Pets are great companions for us all. I can't wait to see my dog everyday and make sure he's living his best life which is just how I'd care for your pet. I have a fenced yard with plenty of room for dogs to play. Our own dog is friendly and loves to hang with other dogs too.

Shelby has a love for dogs where you need not worry about your fur-baby in her care. She opened her home and her heart to our little dog. The pictures she sent during our away time, let us know that JoJo was content and happy. Administering his medication was no problem for Shelby. As an added bonus, she had washed his bowls and laundered his blanket and packed ready for pickup. We sincerely recommend Shelby’s home for your dog’s vacation while you are away!

Milo is kinda slow to warm up to others, typical of a chihuahua, but it would appear he did great while staying with Destinee. She provided daily updates along with pics. Milo even got to make new fury friends while he was there. Id gladly rebook with Destinee next time I have to travel and leave Milo behind.

About: I’ve worked with dogs for over 20 years, with much of that time spent walking and handling shelter dogs—especially those that are anxious or unsure. That experience taught me how important calm, structure, and consistency are in helping dogs feel more confident. I run Trail & Heel, a dog training and adventure-based care service in Louisville. I focus on practical, real-world training—whether that’s working with puppies, improving leash manners, or helping nervous dogs build confidence. Every walk and interaction is handled with intention. For me, care and training go hand in hand, with the goal of helping dogs become calmer, more reliable, and easier to live with. Caring for dogs is already part of my everyday life, so it fits naturally into my routine. I plan my schedule around the dogs I’m working with so I’m not rushing between visits. That means each dog gets calm, consistent attention and a much better experience overall. Care is always tailored to the dog and the service, but the approach stays consistent: calm, structured, and intentional. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their routine—feeding, potty breaks, exercise, and any specific instructions—while also reinforcing good habits like leash manners, calm greetings, and settling. In my home, I keep the environment structured and low-stress. Dogs get supervised time, appropriate exercise (including trail walks when it’s a good fit), and clear boundaries so they can relax and succeed. I only take on a small number of dogs at a time to make sure each one gets the attention they need.

He was absolutely amazing most definitely the best decision I’ve made… I was skeptical at first because I’ve never had to board any of my animals I ever had in my life but I am really happy I chose to this time!!! He sent pictures and videos and he treated Harley like his own!!! I will most definitely recommend him to anyone!!! He also went above and beyond for Harley she has anxiety and scratches/bites herself raw sometimes and he went out and got her a cone to help her stop doing it!!!

About: I was a three times a day dog walker for an elderly neighbor. When she passed I took ownership of dog. Now I am looking for some new clients. I work from home and dog walk. I have the time to give to your pup tons of walks, play with them, and give lots of kisses. Fridays are dog park day! I can play with your dog in your home. Give your pup a break from the crate and have me walk and get play with your dog.

We had to leave town last minute and Heather really made herself available for us! I am so blessed we took a chance on her, my babies have never stayed with a stranger. Heather sent photos and updates, and the pups were so loved and taken care of! I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for quality care, she’s very knowledgeable and loving, and my pups were well-loved the whole week ❤️ She’s ready for puppies to elder dogs, book her now!

About: Welcome! We're the Phenix family—a family of six (plus our two sweet dogs!). We understand that leaving your dog with someone else is a big decision, and we strive to provide a safe, loving, and fun home away from home. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means visiting dogs are rarely left alone for more than a few hours and have plenty of opportunities to get outside. Safety is one of our top priorities. Our spacious backyard is fully fenced with a secure 4-foot wrought iron fence, giving dogs lots of room to run and play. We know some pups are talented escape artists, so our gates are secured with locks, and every guest wears an AirTag during their stay as an extra precaution—just in case we have a little Houdini on our hands! Our 2 resident pups are Athena (a Collie) and Lulu (a Beagle mix). Both are 10 years old, gentle, and experienced hosts. We've been dog sitting for over 9 years, so they're very comfortable welcoming new furry friends into our home. They're great at reading other dogs' body language and are happy to play or simply give visiting dogs their space if that's what they prefer. To keep everyone happy and healthy, all dogs are fed separately to prevent food-related conflicts, and we only give treats and food provided by each owner to help avoid upset stomachs or dietary issues. We look forward to welcoming your pup into our family and treating them like one of our own while you're away! Our day starts with dogs being let out to go to the bathroom at 6am then breakfast. We have had some late sleepers stay with us, so we do adjust for our sleepy friends. Dogs have access to the backyard whenever they would like and we have plenty of dog toys for them to enjoy. We are happy to accommodate any feeding schedule, so we can keep your pup as close to their normal routine as possible. We have a fully fenced in yard with locks on the gates. Since we know some dogs are great at escaping, we have an air tag just in case.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
