“Angela graciously accepted our last-minute boarding request for our cat and was incredibly accommodating, even when our we were delayed due to traffic and weather. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease—she is warm, caring, and clearly loves animals. She thoughtfully kept our cat separate from her dogs, which we really appreciated. Throughout the stay, our cat seemed comfortable, relaxed, and happy. Angela provided timely updates and was always quick to respond to our questions. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter.”

“My pup had a great time on Krystal’s farm. The kids were very sweet with her and she loved playing with the other dogs. Perfect place for a high energy, outdoor dog. Mine came home exhausted and ready for a bath!”

“This was my first time boarding Freyja, and I was nervous about leaving her with someone she didn’t know. Angelle has a lot of experience with dogs and handled Freyja’s high energy really well. She sent me pictures during her stay, which helped put my mind at ease. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would feel comfortable having Angelle watch Freyja again!”

“Kristi's home was a GREAT match for our dog, Ollie! It was clear that he was treated like family, and had tons of love and attention from the whole family. I'm so glad to have found a loving home-away-from-home for him. Ollie is booked to stay with Kristi again next month... it's SUCH a relief to know he'll be in good hands, having his own vacation while we have ours!”

“Kat is absolutely amazing! Our dogs are nervous around new people but were comfortable with Kat right away. We had so much peace of mind knowing they were not only taken care of, but having a great time while we were away! We would recommend Kat to anyone and everyone!”

“Keep took such loving care of our dog while were away. She was very responsive to texts and sent regular updates and photos. Her daughter entertained him as well. We will use her again.”

“Excellent sitter! We're thoroughly impressed and will definitely be in touch again. Lauren was wonderfully kind to our cat and gave us daily updates with pictures. Never felt so much peace of mind while out of town!”

“Shaylina, thank you again for watching Luna and Ha’Keem. I cannot express how gratefully I am for working with me and my late arrival. I would def recommend you to anyone who needs a sitter. My dogs run straight into her home after the first visit which tells me they are comfortable with her.”

“This was my first time leaving my fur baby alone for more than a night since I got her, and Skylar took such great care of her while I was away!! My pup had so much fun she didn’t want to leave! Skylar is amazing and I would recommend!! ❤️”

“Yang and her family were wonderful to our dog, Xiaolong, while we were away for a few days. We know Yang will be the first Rover we contact the next time we are away and need a loving home away from home for our dog.”

About: I am currently a graduate student for nursing and want to get a pet of my own but want to wait until I finish school. So walking other people's dogs and pet sitting is the next best thing! I grew up with pets and have been dog sitting/house sitting since high school, including house sitting for my sports coach. Looking forward to meeting your pets! I work four ten hour shifts so I am only available on Wednesdays or on the weekends. I am not available M, T, Th, or Fri I am very cautious when taking dogs on walks. I always avoid interactions with other dogs to protect the dogs I am walking. Interactions between dogs can vary and I'd rather keep the dogs safe.

I’m unable to have a dog of my own right now due to my work schedule. I would prefer sitting on weekends. I’m available Thursday to Sunday I tailor my care based on each pet’s needs and routine, whether they’re staying with me or I’m caring for them in their own home. In my home, I provide a safe, pet-friendly environment with plenty of space to play, rest, and feel comfortable. I follow their feeding and exercise schedule closely and ensure they get plenty of attention, affection, and mental stimulation. When caring for pets in their own home, I maintain their regular routine as closely as possible — from mealtimes and walks to medication and cuddle time. I keep the home tidy, respect their space, and provide regular updates so you always know your pet is happy and in good hands.

“Kerri was super easy to contact. She was able to take our little poodle very last minute. He had such a wonderful time with her own playing tug, going to the park, swimming. She took very good care of him and definitely has a lot of love for all the pups. I will definitely recommend her. She was very professional, sent us videos and photos, and was super easy to coordinate with. Looking forward to the next time. Thanks so much Kerri! Will contact you again soon :)”
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Millburn
How did I get so lucky as to find Scott on Rover? We started with a Meet-n-Greet and I immediately felt relief and comfortable that I found a great dog-person to take care of my dog HoneyGirl, while I was out of town for the weekend. He listened to our needs and asked questions about the care/attention that my dog needed. He even texted me with updates and photos. A++ thanks Scott !!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Millburn home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Millburn.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Millburn sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
