I am a retired K9 Officer from the City of Frederick. I was the assistant trainer on the unit until I retired in 2019. I have been training dogs professionally since then. About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life. I currently have a beagle (8yrs) and a golden retriever puppy. One of my labs growing up had diabetes so I am skilled/ have knowledge of measuring food, giving insulin, and I know the importance of a diabetic animal being fed at the exact times every day. My current dog has epilepsy so I am experienced there as well. My friends and family trust me to take care of their pets and know they will be in good hands. I am currently a full time teacher at a local high school. My availability during the week is after 3:00 pm and my availability on the weekends is all day (unless otherwise discussed). I'm willing to bring in mail, packages, etc. I am currently only doing dog walking and drop in visits 30 mins- 1 hour. I will follow food/ care directions and make sure the house is secure before leaving.

About: I have hands-on experience raising and training three dogs of my own, currently aged 2, 3, and 4. I’ve cared for them since they were puppies, handling everything from basic obedience training to daily walks, feeding, grooming, and socialization. I have a large 4 Ft high-fenced in backyard. Lots of trees for shade and plenty of room to run. We live in a secluded area where walks are quiet and trails are plentiful.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I’ve cared for dogs ranging from Yorkshire terriers to mastiffs. I’ve fed, walked, and entertained dogs most of my life and currently I’m a dog trainer. Currently I’m a dog trainer so I’m required to interact with dogs and learn their behaviors. I love reptiles and small animals, dogs being the most, so pet are is just something that allows me to better myself in that field. My backyard is fenced and I live in a nice area to walk dogs. I had a cat and a dog (they passed away recently). My cat stayed downstairs and my dog stayed upstairs with us. They didn't get along too well so we kept them separate. My cat didn't mind other cats at all, she was almost 16 years old. My dog didn't like other dogs too much, she was around them when she was younger but she liked her space the older she got. She was 11 years old. I now have a kitten! She's 4 months old and I've had her since she was 8 weeks! I currently have a part time job. I work crazy hours, for example I can work 5am to 10am or other times I can work 10am to 2pm. It's very hard to put an definitive answer on my hours but I'll always try to work around my schedule and yours to make sure your furry baby gets what they need! I would prefer to care for your animal in your home, I know new places and spaces could make some animals nervous. My cat is a kitten so I'm not sure how she would react to another animal in my home. So this is just my preference to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe. I would follow every instruction that is given and never do less. I want to make every animal comfortable and feel safe around, no matter what. I pride myself on loving animals just like they're our own kids.

About: I've been an animal lover since I can remember. I started caring for animals at a young age since my family always had our own pets and I felt a sense of pride in helping with them.
