“Auggie’s first visit with Jada went great. She kept us informed and sent pictures which was appreciated. Will definitely book again when needed. Thankful that we have someone we can trust with our sweet pup.”

“I believe this was Melo's third stay with Susan. He always comes home happy and healthy. She's always sure to send pictures and updates. We'll be visiting again in the near future.”

“This was the best experience we have had so far on Rover! Lindsey was phenomenal at taking care of our extremely active dog. Received daily photos of my dog and constant communication about how his day went. Will be booking again!”

“Maria was amazing!! I am definitely using her again and recommending her to family and friends. She sent me photos and videos everyday of our fur baby. She treated Alli as her own!!”

“Amanda is a wonderful pet sitter who took excellent care of our dog Romeo! Right off the bat when we first met her at meet and greet we got an excellent first impression. She is very warm and friendly and was great with our dog! It was nice knowing we can leave our dog with Amanda and he would be treated like he was her dog! During our time away Amanda sent us photos of our babies having fun which was really nice 🙂 I look forward to booking Amanda again in the future!! Thanks for doing such a great job, keep up the great work!! ❤” I would definitely recommend Amanda you won’t regret it!”

“Simone was fantastic with our fur baby. She kept her for 6 days while we went to the beach. I got updates throughout the day that included pictures. My fur baby felt at home with Simone and her family. I never worried one second if she was being taken care of, played with, loved, or cuddled. Simone will absolutely be the go to for our fur babies in the future.”

About: One of my favorite times of the day is the quiet morning walks with my two pups. Besides my own fuzzy babies, I have experience fostering many types of dogs and cats throughout the years. In college I worked for a pet sitting service. I am also CPR certified for cats, dogs, and humans alike. Rest assure your pets will be taken care of like my own when you are away. I am currently homeschooling my daughter, so early mornings and late afternoon/evenings will be when I am typically available for drop-ins and walks. My schedule is typically more flexible on weekends and holidays. The pups I board will have lots of attention from myself and my daughter throughout the day. I will making sure all doors and windows stay locked. My backyard is fully fenced in. Safety is always my number one priority. On walks, your dog(s) will always be leashed. They will get clean, fresh water at all time. I will clean up after your pets immediately, wash any pet-related dishes or bedding before you return.

“Alysha did a great job, treated Zoey like one of her family, brought her into the house with her dog and cat and let her hang out with the family and their living room and bedroom. That is always very much appreciated as it does not feel like a kennel.”

“Our pup had an overnight stay with Allyson and her fur babies, and all went great! I felt like he was well taken care of, he had another pup to play with, Allyson provided a safe environment inside and outside her home. Our pup looked like he had a great time upon pickup. Allyson answered my questions and sent updates along the way. Will book again.”

“Tenashia was super sweet and cared for my little guy super well! I was nervous to board him the first time but the photos and updates put my mind at ease! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to book.”

“Jahzah is amazing! She provided regular updates with the cutest photos, which gave me a piece of mine while I was away. My dog was clearly happy and well cared for. I will definitely take my dog back to her. I felt like my dog was truly on vacation as well! :)”

“She was great. We have 4 cats, youngest being about 3 months, oldest being 18. Their personalities range as far as their age. Even our big scaredy cat came around to her. 100% recommend, and would book again if needed.”

“I couldn't have chosen a better sitter for our baby. Kelly was wonderful. Our plans changed last minute and Kellly was able to accommodate. This was our first time using this service and I couldn't have had a better sitter. I recieved lots of pictures and was updated on my baby's progress. I literally had no worries on how my baby was doing. Kelly even took my baby for a walk. Just awesome overall. I would recommend for sure.”

“Courtney is always my first choice when booking a vacation for my pup. She’s very accommodating when I have to travel for work, and I can tell that Oliver loves her and her family so much!”

About: I've been a proud pet parent to several fur babies over the years and have always been the go-to helper for family and friends. I’ve also had the joy of fostering puppies through our local rescue. I truly believe our pets are family and understand the importance of treating them with that respect. I live in Abbeville but work in Broussard so I can be available in multiple areas! I work a typical 8 to 5 full-time Monday through Friday so deoending on your location depends on when I can do walks or check-ins. My schedule can be some what flexible at times if scheduled ahead of time. If boarding, we prefer dogs be crate trained while we are at work until we get to know them and see they are okay to be left loose in the house. I have a large yard, two dogs (inside) and a cat (outside). Our pups are trained to stay in the parameters of our yard and leashed trained as well. Their crates are available if they would like to sleep in them but aren't locked often unless staying in a place that requires them to be when we travel or we have other pets with us that may require them to be.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Midland home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Midland.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Midland sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
