“Trena was able to take care of our pup over the Thanksgiving holiday and we're so grateful! She sent us photos and kept us updated on how he was doing. Thank you for your help, Trena!”
“Emily did both house sitting and dog sitting for us while we took an eight-day vacation. She took excellent car of our border collie, Sadie, walking her every day and just keeping her company. We came home to a clean house and a happy dog. I would use Emily again and I recommend her highly.”

“Tressa is truly amazing. We had an AWFUL experience with another (non-rover) sitter and I had true PTSD with leaving them with someone else. Tressa ensured her communication was precise, she sent multiple photos and videos daily, took my dogs on hikes and walks, and left the house spotless. There is a reason she is booked out for months!!! I cannot recommend her high enough!!!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Bonnie. She stayed at our home and took excellent care of our senior dog while we were away. Our dog can be a little anxious and isn’t always the easiest dog to care for, but she was patient, attentive, and made sure he was comfortable the entire time. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were gone. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dog and treated him like her own. We came home to a happy dog and a well-cared-for house. We are so grateful for her help and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitter. We would gladly book with her again!”

“Olivia was a delight to have in our home with Frank. He was well cared for and we could tell he had a good time while we were on our trip. I would recommend Olivia and will have her back again.”

“Britney was wonderful! Very responsive and communicated (with the best photos!) throughout the time she house-sat for us. She was professional, tidy and the pups enjoyed the time with her. We're thrilled with Britney and can't wait to have her sit for us again soon!”

“Vanessa has been great for us and our pets. She is very knowledgeable and professional and her care and attention for all our animals has been outstanding. She keeps in communication and sends photos throughout each visit, which has been a big plus. ”

“Sarah was great with Shiloh. She is an amazing person who loves animals. Sarah sent pictures everyday so we could see him play and have fun. I would recommend Sarah highly as she cares for your pet , ad if it were her own pet. Sarah is Terrific. Thank you so much for all you did for Shiloh, he was well taken care of and loved by all. Also thank you Bodhi for playing with Shiloh . You all are amazing”
“Leilani did excellent, the dogs and cats were well taken care of. She followed our written instructions and was great at keeping us updated on how things were going. The home was taken care of very well and we will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Jenna is an excellent dog sitter! She took great care of our two dogs. She sent lots of photos and is super responsive regarding communication. I will definitely book her again and I highly recommend her.”

“Lillian was absolutely wonderful as a pet sitter for a long weekend!! She kept my pup super active - I knew he was getting great care and lots of fun activity! She was very respectful of the home and left it very clean. She went above and beyond what I expected. Would 1000% rebook!”

“Hilton was a great sitter! He followed our instructions for the pups and was really great at communicating how the pups were doing and sending photos. He also tidied up the house while we were away so we would come back to a clean house. Will definitely have him watch our pups again :)”

“We needed a someone to watch after Lily who has separation anxiety, and gets lonely when we leave for an extended time. It was so nice that Shannon was there, as well as her sweet dog Wrangler. I’m sure lily was relieved to have their company! And I was put at ease that she was in good hands. Shannon is very reliable, clean and friendly. She even watered my plants. I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Madison did a great job watching our pups in our home. She did a good job keeping me informed how the puppies were doing! She was kind enough to stay with pups. She left my house in perfect condition. I’d highly recommend her!”

About: WFH dog lover seeking four-legged coworker 🐕🐾 I spend my weekdays working from home and would love a four-legged coworker to join me. Your pup will enjoy mid day walks, play breaks, and lots of cuddles in between meetings. I’m home all day, so there’s no long stretches alone. Whether your dog is energetic and loves adventure walks or is more of a cuddle-on-the-couch type, I’m happy to match their vibe. I live in a two bedroom apartment by myself, so there would be plenty of space for your pup to play or lounge. I am also available to dogsit and available for drop in walks! I like to get active on the weekends and would love a dog buddy to run and hike with.

About: Even though dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I am fairly new to the animal care world. All I can really say is that I will get along with your companion more than you probably. Animals understand me and I understand them. My goal is to be a shoulder to lean on for your pet. I will give them exercise, loving, treats, or just a warm place to snuggle. What ever your pet needs to get through the day, week, or month until your celebrated return. Like I said before my life purpose is your furry friend. I am working towards being available every day of the week. I find a joy in being with animals so why not make it my full time job. I am really flexible, so let me know what you need and I will most likely be able to make it work. I am open to all clients wishes. My services very depending on what the client needs . I have a vehicle that can fit most if not all species and breeds. Crating your animal will be no problem if desired. I love to play fetch, walk, brush, wrestle, read to, just cuddle. Really what ever your animal needs I am willing to do.
“Danielle was so great with Harley! She was an excellent communicator and sent lots of great pictures. I really appreciated her attention to detail and that she checked in with me to make sure we were on the same page about everything. She was very tidy and respectful of my space too. I'm excited to use Danielle again in the future :)”
About: My sister calls me the animal whisperer, for some reason, dogs and cats trust me easily. I’ve dog and cat sat for numerous families over the last 12 years. My neighbors knew me as the designated pet sitter-I am comfortable with small dogs, large dogs, dobermans, pits, boxers, playful cats, and timid cats! For the last 2 years, I have 3 clients at the Yellowstone club and am only recently trying to expand my clientele in Bozeman. I work very part time at a coffee shop, so I am available in the afternoon to evening to walk and feed pets. I am available for boarding occasionally depending on the need! I have an unfenced yard, but have parks very close to my house that I walk to on a daily. I love to run and can take the dogs with me! I have one roommate, we are a calm and smoke free household.

FAQs for House Sitting - Menard
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 394 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Menard. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Menard walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Menard maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Menard choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Menard. On Rover:

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
