Pet care experience
Your peace of mind starts here 🙂 Hello, and welcome to Zwany & Leandro’s Furbnb! I'm Zwany, a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter based in Winthrop, Massachusetts, and I am here to offer top-notch services for your beloved dogs and cats. It was my EXTREME love for animals that led me to explore the wonderful world of pet sitting. I've been boarding cats and dogs for more than 5 years, and now I'm ready to expand my services to a wider audience. Furry friends were everywhere in my childhood. Growing up my family's pet ownership was considered crazy by many people because at one time we had up to five dogs and one cat under our roof! My life would not have been the same without them. They taught me the value of responsibility, patience, and compassion. I understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your "kids" and because of this, I put safety ahead of all else when it comes to caring for your pet. Of course, that and a lot of love! Plain and simple, the joy and happiness they bring to me and my significant other Leandro's lives are indescribable. Their little faces make us smile every day! *Please note as of March 2024, I have been certified in Cat and Dog First Aid by the American Red Cross* Leandro whom I reside with, is also a HUGE animal lover (He's like the fun dad), and we are both full-time professionals. In 2007, Leandro received his pet grooming certification from The Dapper Dawg School of Professional Dog Grooming. After obtaining his certification, he and his mother operated a high-end grooming salon and grooming school in Marblehead for ten years before ultimately selling it. Due to the lack of equipment, our grooming price includes bathing, cool air drying, trimming of nails, ear cleaning, and a spritz of pet cologne. *At this time, we are only accepting dog grooming clients* Thank you. We have 1 dog, a fully vaccinated 5 year old calm and sweet natured female Chiweenie named Blu! (Named after the raptor in the movie Jurassic World) She brings so much fun and love into our lives! Blu has a love for and playfulness with dogs she meets, but she is also happy to be respectful of their space if that's your dog's preference. We are able to crate, separate for feeding, and separate for sleeping if necessary. We own a house that is a stone's throw away from a spacious park. Your pets are welcome to roam the house and lounge on our furniture. We also have a secured fenced-in backyard, with plenty of space for your pets to run and play under our watchful eye. We only host one family’s pet at a time with a max of two pets from the same family. This allows us to give them our undivided attention. I am happy to assist you in any way I can to make your hiring decision as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Thank you for your time, and we can't wait to meet you and your pets :)
Reviews
We had the pleasure of having Zwany and Leandro care for our beloved Rocky, and we couldn't be more impressed with their dedication and love. Rocky had a temporary limping problem and Zwany and Leandro went above and beyond to ensure he received the best care possible. They provided him with rest, medication, and showered him with love, which undoubtedly contributed to his speedy recovery. Throughout Rocky's stay, they kept us updated with regular photos, videos, and reassuring messages, which gave us immense peace of mind. Their attention to detail and genuine affection for Rocky made us feel confident that he was in the best hands possible. We are incredibly grateful for Zwany and Leandro's exceptional care and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and responsible pet sitter. They truly are the best!
Zwany and Leandro; there aren’t enough words to describe the level of love and attention my dog experienced during their care. From sending videos and pictures and updates, to just checking in to let me know how Oso was getting along, they did it all. I was beyond happy, beyond satisfied and will be back. It’s hard to find someone that can put you at ease the way their family made me feel. I was never worried during my vacation and could really just focus on having some fun. Best decision I’ve ever made was bringing my pup to this incredible couple.
Zwany was super attentive and loving to my pup blue! She kept me up to date the whole time with pictures etc. Blue came home pooped and happy :)
Zwany and Leandro were great with my pup. Peanut had so much fun! They provided regular updates and went above and beyond :) very sweet couple and will definitely recommend them! :)

FAQ's Is your home Pet Safe? Pets are naturally curious creatures, and as a pet sitter, it's crucial to create a safe environment for them. Having a pup of our own we are always mindful to keep medications, small objects that can be swallowed, etc. secured in pet-proof areas. Garbage is tucked away and counters remain clear for the occasional counter surfer. Please note we do not have live plants in the home. Do you have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency? Yes! Both myself and Leandro own vehicles. Are you comfortable administering medication? Pills yes. Injections, unfortunately, we are not familiar with. Where will my pet sleep? Your pet can sleep wherever it wishes! Whether that be on my bed, or in their crate, I want to make sure they are as comfortable as possible. I always suggest that pet parents bring their dog/cat bed (if they have one) so that they can feel at home for the first visit if that is where they prefer to sleep. What if I forget one of my pet essentials? We carry an extra stock of food bowls, a cat carrier, a dog crate (adjustable sizing), clean blankets, dog and cat treats (if approved by a pet parent in advance), toys, pee pads, a baby gate, and an extra litter box (litter not included).

Information Zwany & Leandro C. would like to know about your pet
During our Meet and Greet, I will ask you the questions below, so your pet and we can become more acquainted for their wonderful stay ahead! If it's a last-minute booking where a Meet and Greet is not possible, I will send you the questions via Rover messenger to answer. 1. What is your pet's feeding schedule? Allergies, dietary restrictions, and medication needs we should be made aware of? 2. Is your pet prone to food aggression? Being aware of this will enable us to take precautionary measures to ensure that both your pet and ours feel at ease when eating. 3. How many times a day is your pet used to being walked? 4. What is your pet's temperament and do they have any triggers..(afraid of or will react to)? 5. Does your pet have its favorite bed or toys? If they do, it would be good for the pet parent to bring it along to reduce separation anxiety and give it some sense of familiarity in an otherwise foreign location. 6. Is it friendly to other dogs or cats, strangers, or children? If not, extra precautions will be taken to avoid any situation that makes your pet uncomfortable. If the answer is yes, please rest assured that precautions will still be taken because safety (besides giving them love!) is our #1 priority. 7. What boundaries have been set for the pet so we can stay consistent with the pet parent's everyday house rules? 8. What commands (if any) does the dog/cat understand? Commands will help us reduce a lot of the guesswork and assist in managing your pet in his or her own words. 9. How do you reward good behavior and how do you deal with bad behavior? And lastly… 10. In the rare event of an emergency, please provide us with your preferred emergency department or local vet contact. Thank you!!!
A typical day
It depends on the pet, its age, and its already-established lifestyle, etc. Does your dog have a lot of energy? To release some fun energy, the park directly across the street from our home as well as our backyard are great options for a round of fetch! We also love to take them to the beach on a nice day. We are a ten minute drive from three different beaches! Do they find joy in playing with toys? If that's the case, I carry different sizes/types of toys depending on the pet. Most of the toys have no stuffing inside as a choking preventative measure. They are cleaned and sanitized after every pet visit. Pet parents are always encouraged to bring their pet's favorite toy as well. The more the merrier! Senior dogs find it enjoyable to lie down on the hammock while I brush their fur or relax on the couch with me while I read a book. Cats always have a good time playing catch with a rubber mouse or laser! There is no end to the fun activities! If you have fun activities for your pet that you've established, we are always open to suggestions.

We like to walk the pups once in the morning before work, mid -afternoon during lunch break, and then again in the evening before bed. On most days, if I’m not home then Leandro is and vice versa. Meal times are based on the schedule the pet parent provides. We prefer to maintain the routine you have established for your pets so if the walking frequency needs to be adjusted to tailor to your pets needs we are more then flexible.
