Pet care experience
I am the current owner of 2 wonderful dogs, one of which is a 10-month old puppy who has reactivity towards people and dogs, but has made dramatic improvements. I am very experienced in positive reinforcement training techniques, including clicker training and many other tools to work through reactivity issues. I am also skilled in creating fun, enrichment activities with over 15 different products to tire them out (snuffle mat, treat dispensers, activity boards, etc.) and plenty of training exercises in my arsenal.

If you’re looking for an enthusiastic, loving, and qualified caregiver, Zuzy is your gal! As an puppy-parent of two dogs herself, she is fully engaged in dog training and caring. My dog Pancake met her and within seconds understood Zuzy’s commands and obeyed her diligently. She’s highly respectful of dog’s needs and treats them when they’ve done a good job! Zuzy will easily become your (and your dog’s) favorite sitter!

I have an in-car travel crate (36") which can fit up to 60 lb. dog for transport purposes (never for long term confinement). I am careful to choose open fields for more reactive dogs. Both of my dogs are wonderful playmates for other dogs. My reactive dog is very friendly and playful within the home, and is only reactive on leash when she sees dogs on walks. I am happy to provide a friendly doggy friend for a visit or play session if you're interested (with one or both dogs).

I will need to know about any reactivity issues and dietary issues. I am happy to address them, but will need to know specifics upfront, ie. they are reactive towards men, they are allergic to chicken, etc.
A typical day
I love to go on walks in open fields since there's so much freedom for them to sniff around (which tires them out quickly), with my 30 ft. or 50 ft. leashes, which are also great for practicing recall. Activities will involve quick training sessions to get their mental exercise, as well as fun meal time activities by using one of the various treat dispensing toys I have.

I am currently working from home full-time, so it is easy for me to be flexible in home visits and potty breaks as my (rather flexible) schedule allows.
